Who would suggest the such?
They are already beyond beliefly nerfed. I mean come on, you go really slow, you cant target, you cant warp, you cant dock, you cant jump, you cant use drones, or any mwd, or modules....
Why nerf them further? Oh yea i forgot to mention the fact that if something gets within 1km of you, you decloak... thats seems fair enough, why change that range? That would kind of defeat the purpose of even putting cloaks in game.

Good then, Im just saying that anyone proposing that, or propagating that kind of rumor, is not too bright, and hasnt even tried to use a cloak.

Has anyone noticed that the npc rats still know exactly where you are while you are cloaked, and will come within 5km of you? Just an odd fact :) Try flying a thorax away from a npc battleship while cloaked, it gets kind of funny. The npc will come up to 5k of you, then back off to 15-30, then repeat its run at you.

Given the speed that you travel at with a cloak it means an interceptor just has to fly in your general direction and you are caught. Given all the other penalties this module has I have no idea why this is necessary.
Its not as if the board has been alight with complaints about cloaks being overpowered.
Maybe once these are in general distribution we would know for sure. But why make a change without giving the the current specification time to be evaluated by the player base, and given that this cannot be done at the moment due to the lag/memory leak bugs it should wait until combat has resumed for a few weeks. |
