I'm totally confused. I've looked in the patch section. Am I right in thinking I go to patches/tranquility and downloaded the latest build? because that is a tiny file and I've read the guide on installing the patch and it talks about the first download being a huge file.
would someone mind talking me through this? I'm sorry to sound like such a noob.

I got an error while installing the second part of the patch, which resulted in a "corrupted installation" error message that advised me to reinstall my client..............
I deleted all things EVE on my laptop and thought of installing a fresh game.
Downloaded the installer from EVE DOWNLNLOAD section and am now ineffectively struggling with installing the game, getting a "Eve Online Installer has stopped working" every time I try to install the game in D:/Games/CCP

I'm sorry but that is ridiculous, its only a 2GB file - it really shoudln't take that long, I'd get the same download rate on my old dial up connection.
Please sort it out CCP - you knew it was going to be busy on the downloads today so there really isn't any excuse.

hey guys just be patiencent the downloading will take quite a while since every one on the planet who has EVE online needs this update and is trying to download it all at once and since its a over a Gig of memory it will take a few hours longer to download it from the server. Best advice leave it till the evening everything should be back to normal

downloaded from CCP at 7MB/s, started seeding manual patch. Got a 10Gbit backbone :)

If you're using BitTorrent to download, be patient. It's not going to fire up and get OMGWTF speeds instantly. Until you've connected to enough seeds and peers, it won't use all your bandwidth.
After a bit, it'll speed up some. There's over 100 seeds for the full client and nearly that many for the 75883-84244 patch now. I'm seeding and pushing over 400KB/S out by myself, so it's definitely going out.

i Tryed getting Prem download full 1,9gig , It downloads 69mb and stops and says download has finished. I've tryed auto patch gets 1.2gig and i get errors. if i can't get it no point in paying for some thing i can't play.
