I can understand CCP not wanting lots of people running multi-threaded downloaders, and the default patcher's probably the best option for most people. But for those of us that the default option doesn't work for, you left us a bit out in the cold on this one CCP. Also, 1 x download for 3 PCs is easier on your system (and my download quota - yes we have those in Australia) than 3 x 1.3Gb downloads. I also noted that the patcher, when it failed, linked me to the 'manual' install; which then failed, and recommended.. you guessed it.. that I try the 'manual' install. Yeah. You read that right :)

What good is that micro app supposed to be anyway? Its not doing anything else beside downloading the patch and starting it, so i dont see any added value, quite the contrary, we lose the info and the control over where the patch is actually stored and later needlessly takes valuable space. Feel free to ignore that question, as long as we can get an alternative ;)

Reading from other people, it's your connection. CCP uses LimeLight networks for distribution of patches. It's pretty unimaginable 150k EVE players will be able to max out their connections. _ Add your own line!

Can someone at CCP either C/D this will work? I'm on Vista and have been testing stuff on the test server for a while and have never once had the autopatcher work (and it's not working for TQ either) whereas the downloads like the above always work for me. DISCLAIMER: If you use this patch, make a full copy of your Eve install first, I deny all liability if you hose your install and have to download a full installer UPDATE: The above patch actually patches to 83913, not 84224, you also need http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/evepremiumpatch83913-84244_m.exe

Rab See Minmatar	Posted - 2009.03.10 11:12:00 - [76] I got an odd error when i fired up my client to start the patch process - popping up a DOS box with lots about the logserver coming up. I surmised that it might be something in my settings as I had recently changed to a window mode, so renamed the Settings folder to force everything to a defaul and voila - patching proceeded as normal. NB - Im on Windows 7 Beta (build 7000). The installer is now downloading - 93% - heres hoping all goes well. . . 8/ everyone

Yup, just finished my own full client download at around 2.5mb a sec. Now I'm waiting at the pretty new login screen with 42 online and the server refusing connection. Damn devs always get to play first though I guess thats for the best. Yay! Got meh sig back! ♥ Weatherman

Please check the name and try again." It's possible that the problem is a DNS resolution error. Can you open up a command window and type "ping ccp.vo.llnwd.net"? The patcher still deletes the RTP files! So download the 3 files. Then COPY them to a second location before running the patch.
