I get the error as well, but in the patcher, and I believe it is just telling me the patch does not match the server, which is to be expected. Here is the exact error: Client files don't match the files in the update. This indicates that your installation is corrupt. Please reinstall EVE Online. Upon clicking finish and starting the client, Eve loads fine and goes on to download the next small patch. All seems to work well, and it is not a steam problem. Also, Kudos on the download speeds. Even downloading wireless to my laptop I was near 500kbps.

So I got to http://www.eveonline.com/patches/patches.asp?s=&system=win&edition=premium and try to get patch from there. But when I try to select version, it says that lates patch version is 72263 but I have 75883. I want t go from 75883 to the new patch.

Tzar'rim	Posted - 2009.03.10 12:12:00 - [225] - I DL the full installer and start it - it starts to DL the client (about 1.9GB), works at a nice speed so no trouble there - client is installed and started and comes with the apocrypha screen etc, so it IS the right client. - THEN it says "need another update" WHICH IS THE EXACT SAME SIZE AS THE CLIENT I DLED So, which is it; is the official file we get which DL's the official client only HALF of the complete install, or is (for some reason) the SAME install DLed again? Self-proclaimed idiot

Both patches download fine @ 750kb/s At the end of applying each patch, it tells my my game files don't match what's in the patch. The patches still applied correctly and running the game shows the login screen with correct version listed.

I didn't do any dodgy url hacks :) Make sure you start the correct shortcut on your desktop :) You installed 2 clients like those who want to play TQ and Sisi at the same time. (right-click properties to check the correct install location.) Better uninstall the old version before doing a full new install...

Posted - 2009.03.10 12:13:00 - [230] I'm personally very happy with the download speed, I'm quite shocked that I'm able to get 2,5MB/s of the servers even thought there probably thousands who dl the patch :) Only complaint I have is that it FORCELY put the temp FILE on the windows disk, MANY peoples have terrible problems regarding this due to low space on that drive, it really should put the temp file where you put the .exe, is it possible for you to fix this for the next patch so peoples don't need to make links to be able to patch this file? For those who DO have problems with this, I recomend http://www.bitsum.com/shjunc.asp and remap (SYSTEMDISK):\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\CCP\EVE\Downloads To a folder you have space at, this is the only workaround I know of.

Looks like a typo :P If you are on 84063 and getting asked to download the whole thing again.. use http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/evepremiumpatch84063-84244_m.exe the _m makes all the difference it would seem ;)

B.I.T.S .. why use this? it appears that its exploitable ( just google for 2 mins and youll see ) and not very efficient at all in manageing downloads. I uninstalled it many months ago it WILL NOT be finding its way back onto my computer. Why no manual direct download of a patch update? BTDNA.. whats with the change in registry entries for start up? and why use your own torrent client when the likes of utorrent etc are perfectly capable and give more information/control over the download?. I mean why leave it upto a fan ( thnx chribba ) I mean an avg of 60kb/s is really poor even for my connection. ANY torrent downloads i do usually endup around an avg of 90-110kb/s Be appreciative if some dev could answer these questions. BTW moar thanks to fans that have offered the direct RTP + direct .torrent links etc when ccp didnt
