I ignored it and opened Eve just fine, was prompted to patch to 84244, got same error, ignored it and everything is fine. If the installer says things didn't work out try just opening Eve before you start downloading the entire installer fresh.

Posted - 2009.03.10 11:23:00 - [96] Is there going to be a full download patch available instead of the current verion where you download a small file and it then loads an installer that downloads the rest? The reason I ask is that I've got access to an insanely fast connection but I cant install application's on the box's connected to it, normally id download files to a pen drive and then give them to my corp mates that work with me so we save a whole lot of headache. But its looking like we can do that now with the way this current installer is working.

Valhora	Posted - 2009.03.10 11:26:00 - [102] Easiest way to get the download to work seems to be from this error page http://www.eveonline.com/download/?fallback=1 If you don't have BITS any other approach just puts you in a loop of downloading the installer, which when run tells you BITS isn't available and directs you to re-install the installer - rinse and repeat. /facepalm

Solution: ensure that you have at least 1389 MB of free disk space available on the partition where Windows (not EvE) is installed on. =)

I did have it running earlier when I saw the version change (and it had the red build number) but I clicked 'no' to patching at that time. Can I manually patch to 83913 and go from there?

Too bad there wasn't an easy access to the manual FULL upgrade so I could download this only once... Also tried the full client install, same problem, we have to download it for each computers. Good thing for 1.2Mb/sec download... bad thing for my monthly ISP restricted download/upload ratio :( Cheers!
