Working great for me so far @12% running @700kb/s.
Not told my little brother the patch it out yet, hoping I can patch both my clients before he realises :D

All done here. Took maybe 15 minutes per machine on UKOnline ADSL.
For those other UK people having speed issues it IS your ISP, not necessarily your connection but their peering at Telehouse/LINX being the problem. Your connection to the exchange is just the start of things and budget ISPs can sell at low prices because they cut corners and/or don't care about customers

No error was not steam related at all (I only mention steam because well... patching Eve has always been odd with steam). The error is presented by the patcher on completion of patching. It is the patcher that completes, then says files did not match patch failed, reinstall Eve and provides link. Then you click finish on the patcher program. Patcher closes, then I open Eve no problem what so ever.

Right, just tried to download the full client because this patch seems like a good time to get a fresh, clean installation done.
The file at: http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/EVE_Premium_Setup_84063.exe is only 1.5meg in size though which seems a little small.
I get much better download speeds at work, (yay super-Janet) than at home, so I'd like to download the whole thing onto a USB drive to take home tonight so I don't have to spend hours waiting at home for the download to finish.
How do I go about this? Lyrus Associates' Diplomat Of Last Resort |

All worked fine here.
Patcher prog removes the downloaded patch as part of the update so thats bad news for multi-installers. But its good news for those of you who want to keep the windows drive clean.

Fallout, could you please confirm the links to the manual download of the patches (ie. version numbers)?
I prefer to use a manager to handle the downloads in order to control speed so I don't ruin other peoples day. The downloader doesn't have such control mechanism.

This is really really frustrationg. Everyone is talking about finding the latest patch on the eve-online site from eve patches... The only patches i can see and say (current) on them ar for 75883.
Even when i go to the fallback page it is still all for the 75883.
If i open the client it just says incompatible version and gives me an ok button... Never asks me to download the new patch...
I can not find one single offical CCP on eve-online to actually download the patch... the link should be everywhere... On the front page, in the patching section first post in these forums etc.

I got the same error when i had not enough space on my windows drive for the patch file (1400MB).
Confirmed, that is actually the problem. It checks the wrong drive. It is checking the C: drive, but neither my EVE nor the patcher are on C: or trying to download there. Also it checks for too much free space, with 2 GB free on C: it fails, with 4 GB free it works.

Well, I had to make some room on the C: partition, which is a bit unnecessary IMO - I'm only using C: for system resources, keeping all other software (and the swapfile) on other paritions. However, I did not experience any speed problems once the download started. In fact, I received a far greater speed than I would have expected - around 3.4 megabytes/sec, so both thumbs up when that's concerned!

Edited by: commodore Yang on 10/03/2009 11:55:50 I am having trouble, I started up my client (windows, premium graphics) and it said new build available like normal, then I accepted the download and nothing happened. I reloaded the client and it just said 'incompatible (version)' and doesn't give me the option of downloading anything at all this time. Also the links for downloading the new client all lead me to version 75883 which is the current one and the latest manual patch that I can download according to the eve website is to update from 72263! I tried downloading the latest patch anyway just in case it was a typo error or somesuch but the installer tells me that I already have build 75883 (which I do) what can I do? where do I go to download the whole of apocrypha from scratch? the eve website wants me to download the quantum rise client but thats wrong surely. I think I may be doing something amazingly stupid so please don't go too hard on me :) Just noticed the previous post, but that link just takes me to a place saying that I have the current build, which I dont because It is still saying quantum rise and is still on version 75883...I am really confused

ATTENTION PEOPLE WHO DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THE INTERNET WORKS
Its mainly due to your ISP and your geographical location as the autopatcher only allows one download stream.
If you have a slow download speed due to lack of bandwidth between continents, use a download accelerator and download the previously linked full patch executables.
