EVE Online: Inferno 1.2 has been deployed successfully.
Inferno 1.2 brings a large amount of improvements, including a revamped tutorials for the New Player Experience, fitting enhancements, full alchemy reactions, ship rebalancing of frigates and mining barges and a lot more.

Before the patch, in order to use a rookie ship as a cyno ship you needed:
1x Cyno module 1x Micro Aux module
Cyno IV skill.
After the patch, caldari + minmatar + gallente needs:
1x cyno module
Cyno IV skill.
Whereas the amarr now needs:
1x cyno module 1x cargohold expander (does not matter which, T1 is fine).
Cyno IV skill.
Do you see the problem?

I have an issue with the Mining cargo holds modified sizes, I normally carry 3 of each of the mining crystals I know you reduced the size of them but even removing some of them 350 M3 is not big enough. Needs to be about 500 or 600 or even allow the crystals to be stored in the ore hold.
I dont think im the only one who is going to have this problem and will effect the othe mining ships as well.
Can something be changed to sort this.
Also is the new ORE mining frigate out? Cannot find it anywhere on notes or market. (Silly question I think best to ask when is it comming out) |

it is stated that the objective, as part of the T1 frig overhauls, was to get rid of the mining frigates in favour of a single dedicated ORE frigate. so why, if the T1 frigate rebalancing is complete, do we still have redundant mining ships for all of the races? and now with the rookie ships supporting large boosts to EWAR there are now two types of EWAR frig for each race. Also, this announcement was made alongside the revelations of the new roles of the mining barges. in no way is it made clear that the ORE frigate is for winter release, and it doesnt even make sense given the timing of this update...

Run the repair tool built into the launcher it should fix it for you |

Hi
My download of Inferno 1.2 appears to have become corrupt. Every time i run the launcher, it starts at step 2/4 to create a patch, hangs at 15%, and then fails.
It presents me with the option of getting the full launcher and downloading the whole game again, which I just simply cant do!
Is there an easy way for me to get rid of the downloaded patch info, re-download the patch, and try the process again??

If you try to search on a character name, it fails with an error saying there is no local cache to search. I can't create a private contract to another character, because EVE can't find the character name. "The Mittani isn't even gone for a day and CCP's management is already making bad decisions."

because i wont sit in the game for hours with a petition where i just want to report some mindboggling bugs which havent been fixed for quite some time... just to get no response from any gm
i.e.:open the map, click people&places, search for a corp, click show on map and the whole fscking thing will freeze... cant scroll around, cant 'target' stars in the star map to get info/ set destination.... this is ****** up for at least several months |

Assuming the old DED size limits are still in place, a 3/10 should at maximum allow cruiser sized ships, 4/10s allow BCs and 5/10s allows BSs. So it might be a case of working as intended and is certainly one of the reasons why T3's are so popular in exploration. |

I have noticed that it is now possible to drag out things like containers from the tree view if docked; so that it is possible to show this container in an independent window with own settings (like looking in list view and sortings according Meta). Is it possible to open this window via doubleclick at the icon of this container in the main window of the item hangar at station? Or do you intent to develop this function? Fair point although as I say it seems a bit silly, been allowed since i came back to game 5and a half months ago. Would also be nice if it had been included in patch notes which as i have quoted only mentions battleships, so those of us that dont fly tech 3s could prepare and now not be disadvantaged. |

Double clicking the ship icon in the Station's Station Services > Ships tab does not open the ship's cargo hold. Previously, a double click opened the cargo hold. It was an update made in the summer to CCP's ship balancing plans, not an update to the game. They were, with a post made in the summer, updating us as to what they intended to do in the winter.

In space, tool tips completely cover the module right-click menus when HUD is aligned to top; partially covers them when HUD is aligned to bottom (petitioned this because it interferes with combat). BTW, I was one of the people who complained about this when it was on Sisi, but we were ignored as always (ignored=several people mentioned this, but there was not a single Dev response nor any change).
2. Can't open the Scythe drone bay in-station from the right-click menu (bug reported this). Works properly with my Cyclone.
3. Pinned/locked Inventory windows still shift position every time I log in. |

FYI Greyscale, I assume you already have been notified, but this might be related to an incursion issue, none of the incursion sites are respawning, have about 4 or 5 different incursion channels all reporting that not a single site VG-HQ is respawning. When you activate a mission acceleration gate and don't quite have enough room to accelerate (so you bump around on the model geometery) you can't hit minimum velocity on the HUD or CTRL Space to cancel the warp, indeed there seems no way to cancel warp. I'm pretty sure you could before.
This results in lots of bouncing around and a couple of minutes wasted. Hardly game breaking but probably not working as intended. |

yes your cargo hold is overloaded...you need to dock offload some crystals until you have free space.
see also patchnotes: Warning: due to the reduction of traditional cargo bays in Mining Barges and Exhumers, if you are in space with an overloaded cargohold on release day, you will need to jettison some cargo in order to warp your ship. If you are overloaded with ore or ice, you can move it to the new ore hold instead. |

That would all be in the wording.
x=1400 1400 = 100% of the mining lasers yield. Therefore 2800 = 200% of said mining lasers yield.
An INCREASE of 200% would mean 2800 more in this case. However simply stating it yields 200% means it is 2800, or double. (2 x 100%)

Would appear that after opening your inventory as the CEO or Director completly bugs the inventory system, you just get a spinning loading thingy.
If you remove director, you can then instantly get back into corp hangers, etc |

When I log in, the log in process gets to Preparing Data, loads a bit of the bar and then the client crashes, and doesn't open again. Running the repair tool does nothing, and I already cleared the cache. I saw someone had the same problem (won't let me link) but they didn't post how they fixed it in their thread. So far it seems fine to me........just have to fix the mining missions. They do not recognize the new ore holds and as such STILL require you to have cargo space. This in turn means i have to unload the ore to my hangar to complete the missions now.
Is there any way you guys can fix that? |

When you use the F1 keys to activate/deactivate a module in space the info popup about the module (the one you get when hover ing the mouse over a fitted module) shows in the top left corner covering most of the solar system name and the E button.
I got a MWD showing 1% damage and i am not about to nanite repair it. |

Top left of the inv window.. there's a settings icon there like in a few other windows (for example EVEMail, Drones..)

She got torso back (but just with shirt, not with the coat) and in exchange lost her pants (yes - she was butt-naked)... also - now she also was missing the arms completely. And still missing face and feet.

Everything else is back - but missing torso (but got the coat). Torso is missing completely (no skin either), but with the coat on (you can see torso missing from the neck).
With another alt (also female), same thing... With 2x Male alts = no issues so far.
Also - my character suddenly changed hair color (from blonde seen in pucture to dark) and when viewing from mirror in captain's quarter she's bald with a tiny mohawk... .

Dear CCP, I am experiencing a massive frame rate drop when using multiple clients since the patch.
I run 3 clients and with 3 ships in space (zoomed out) I am getting a frame rate of between 14 and 20, averaging about 18 FPS.
The main problem is if i have ship(s) in station, the clients with ship(s) in station are hogging all the frame rate, see below.
1 ship in station = average of 30 fps for that client and for the 2 ships in space (zoomed out) = an average of 13 fps for those 2 clients.
2 ships in station = average of 20 fps for those two clients and for the 1 ship in space (zoomed out) = an average of 8 fps for that client.
I have tried turning off the station environments and that helps a bit, see below.

2 ships in station (static) = average of 32 fps for those two clients and for the 1 ship in space (zoomed out) = an average of 15 fps for that client.

For a 0.0 fleet fit Hulk a 350m3 cargo hold for mining crystals is far short of what is required for 0.0 plex mining. Striping 0.0 plexes with belts that have 16 ore types. CCP has made using ALL Exhumers in 0.0 more difficult.
Hulks need a minimum of 1,125m3 Mackinaws need a minimum of 750m3 Skiff needs a minimum of 375m3 |

Happens fairly often after patch, usually indicates your client cache is invalid / corrupt / outdated. Clearing cache will likely help. It did for me, however it also removed the makeup from my avatar.

I reported this for the 1.2 version on SiSi (bug number 141974) but I'll repeat it here as it is my only pet hate with the Uni Inv (which otherwise works fine for me and I like it).
Basically, when you open the Uni Inv primary window - if you have the 'My Filters' tab closed/minimised, the Index Tree's width is not remembered for the next time you open it and when you open it the second time, it defaults to ~really narrow~.
Then, every time I open the Uni Inv, I have to grab the thin divider and widen it. Everytime. It just makes me all :sadface:
The workaround is to leave the 'My filters' tab unminimized, which I'd rather not have to do.
Other than that it's all gravy.

Well the mac with only 2 lasers can carry a good selection of crystals.

I don't see any difference between the old mining skills of the Hulk and the new mining skills :
Old Hulk skills :
Mining Barge Skill Bonus: 3% better yield for Strip Miners per level. 7.5% bonus to all shield resistances per level
Exhumers Skill Bonus: 3% better yield for Strip Miners per level 3% reduction in Ice Harvester duration per level
New Hulk skills :
Mining Barge Skill Bonus: 3% better yield for Strip Miners per level. 5% bonus to all shield resistances per level
Exhumers Skill Bonus: 3% better yield for Strip Miners per level 4% reduction in Ice Harvester duration per level
But the bonus to all shield resistances is lower, and the Exapnded Cargohold II doesn't affect the ore hold.

Not saying they should ever be solo... I run a small wing of these myself with Rorqual managing boosts and hauling.
Before you could store a full set of mining crystals and spares on board and still have enough space for a full cycle of ore. Post CCP changes the job is more difficult when you need to micro manage the minuscule cargo hold when you are mining out 0.0 grav sites.
Before: Right click strip miner > load new crystal
Now: Send alt to station or POS locate required required crystals warp to hulk unload unnecessary crystals from hulk to jet can swapping crystals from one ship to another in space via a jet can load new cryatals scoop unneeded crystals to the alts cargo hold send the alt back to POS or station with crystals unloading the hauler and heading back to move ore again.
If you run 2,3,4,5 hulks then the task is 2,4,8,16 times more time consuming and annoying
I never bother to read the blogs and visit the test server because CCP can change a ship 15 times between the first blog post and it hits tranquility. Their are dozens of people along the way that read these, visit the test server, and voice issues . i don't feel the need to do the legwork myself. |

Exhumers need lvl 5 Astrogeology thought it was lvl3.
When ever I start the gun/missile fire (F1 etc) the new "handy" popup above the modules move to the upper left of the screen, and this also happens when the target is destroyed or when reloading, passing your mouse over the modules replaces it though.
Any idea how to turn the info popup above modules in space OFF, or is this a feature we must live with like CQ during the first months before finally its ability to switch it off ??

It was an update made in the summer to CCP's ship balancing plans, not an update to the game. They were, with a post made in the summer, updating us as to what they intended to do in the winter.
English is the only language where the sentence "Sit down and sit up." makes sense.
But it is reported together with the changes to mining barges and after changes to frigates.
Also, in the 1.2 deployment announcement is a link to The Big Picture which again mentions "We are going to make a new ORE mining frigate.". Also considering (from that same page) "This is part of a larger initiative, spearheaded by CCP Ytterbium, where we revamp ship classes one by one.", here frigates AND ORE ships were revamped. But the one combination of the two is simply left out.
It doesn't make sense to 'open up' the mining ships to new players, but to leave out the ship you would play around in first.
It also doesn't help at all that pages like http://www.eveonline.com/inferno/the-rebalancing-initiative/ are very minimal on information.
I might not even use that frigate more than half an hour. But it looked cute and I wanted to fly it. |

After making use of this lovely [really I like it a lot] new NeoCom feature for mission runners while docked in station to turn in the mission and then request another mission the Journal icon in the left hand NeoCom linkage area still does the blinky thing as if I didn't do this on purpose and had no clue that something in my journal had changed...
having to clicky the journal icon and then clicky the X to close it seems to defeat the purpose of the new feature.... |

The game performance went significantly down. Even before (like the last few releases), the game ate memory like a champ. Now it's becoming ridiculous. I estimate 30-50% increase on my machine. And then there is more heat coming from my thermal module.... Getting nearer to be able to fry eggs on my laptop.

The Hulk's new "role" is as a fleet member - not out solo mining. You're to be expected to have your extra crystals sitting in an Orca or a mining-tender hauler, NOT sitting in your own hold. Welcome to the brave new world of actually having to be in actual mining fleets, not massive multi-boxed setups where you push one button occasionally and retarget every cycle.

Use a Mackinaw or Retriever (or if you want to massively overtank - Procurer or Skiff). The Hulk is no longer the premier solo-mining ship in the game. It's be repurposed =entirely= as a fleet miner.
If you want to solo-mine, you're doing it wrong if you think you can still do it in a hulk anymore. |

Not really and here's why:
100% = 100/100 = 1
so: x = 10 x * 100% = 10 * 100/100 = 10 x * 200% = 10 * 200/100 = 20
if you are talking BONUS then: x = 10 x + 100% = 10 + (10 * 100/100) = 20 x + 200% = 10 + (10 * 200/100) = 30 etc.

crystals where already pain in ass when you had opened next can and moved back to cargo hold they all move and ore get lost right at the bottom which was huge pain in ass ore hanger fixed this thou hulk is like TON more isk worth that ret.. it takes less than 1 month to fly a ret and they buffed the noobies yet.... people who played for long time done all the training to use t2 crystals they nerf to crap.. why... this makes t2 crystals a pain to use if your flying more than few ships
want a crystal hanger please... atleast hold a full set of crystals.. its not a big ask.. just makes life easier.. since you think afker mack ice miners now have 45min afk mine... yet us hulk pilots who actualy want to mine and not afk.. our job gets 10times harder to mess around with crystals

well yes if we have to stick with tiny cargo hold we are going to have to do this , but t2 is suppose to have a bonus over using t1 stuff.. yet the gap now between a ret and a hulk is pretty damn small now compared to before, why punish people who use t2 , |

You are getting a bonus...in yield. A big one, in fact. The whole reason behind the "tiericide" thing was that there were a lot of ships (like the Procurer and Covetor) that just served no useful purpose at all in the game. Now they do -- you have to think of what role that ship will play rather than just barreling right ahead to the "biggest" one (i.e., the Hulk).
Hulks always were pretty much intended as fleet mining ships -- their cost made them impractical for solo mining, and they were juicy gank targets. The problem was that for most miners the tradeoffs on the smaller/cheaper ships weren't worth it...until now. A Ret/Mack is clearly a ship better suited to solo mining, a Cov/Hulkl is clearly better for fleets, and the Procurer/Skiff is optimal for high-risk/ninja-mining ops. Each ship has a use, each ship has a role. That's a good thing.
You didn't "waste" anything training for a Hulk -- you can still fly a Mack, which nearly has the same yield as a Hulk but with a ginormous cargohold. I'm overwhelmed with joy at the Mack -- now instead of having to dedicate an alt as a hauler in hisec, I can have him out in the belt with me in another Mack, burning up roids!

Yes there are some issues and there are some tweaks to be made but I for one am very satisfied with CCP.
Working in a field service industry I also have to service about 14 laptops and 6 desktops for my job and I can tell you that every time one of our employee's has issues on their machine it is because of something they have done. Software they have installed, something they deleted or a culmination of issues which ultimately ends up in a reinstall situation because it would be quicker to redeploy the OS than to spend hours trying to remove malware, bloatware, adware and ridiculous toolbars galore aside from all the potential registry errors and abuse people put their machine through caused by people not knowing how to properly maintain their computers or assuming everything they install on their system is not going to have a negative effect or break something totally unrelated.
If it's happening every time you update, maybe it's time to update your pc or reinstall windows.  |

you will need to update your spreadsheet, the build costs have changed. (but the reprocess values are still based on the old numbers, so the market cannot recover correctly ) |

Hey got an issue on the upgrade. All my ships are coming out of dock at the biggest size....taking over the whole screen. Reset camera is not working to size them down to the middle level. When I get a ship [my shuttle] coming out at the small size I hit reset camera and it goes to the large and I am stuck with it. All ships are stuck at large size with no relief from the reset camera option. I would add that I have only been mostly flying mining barges/exhumers. |

There is a quite dangerous bug with fleet/win/squad warps right now. On occation on selected bookmark types the fleet/wing/squad-warp will not work.
In my case I have experienced this bug 7 times since yesterday and its all been bookmarks that I tried to warp the squad to. Some works , others does not.
Very dangerous if your trying to coordinate attacks or evasive manouvers.
The result is that just the commander that initiates the warp gets warped while the others are left behind.
I am not entirely sure that it is entirely related to bookmarks but as far as I have tested then that seems to be the reason. |

I like to keep 2 sets of 3 crystals per ore type in my hulk, after all the crystals do pop and it messes with mining pace if I dont have enough spares in hold, while I havent blown all 3 crystals more than once or twice while mining, still even one crystal missing is an annoyance. that was 1050m3 with the old crystals, just for the high sec mining.
looks like ill have to set up cans in the belts I like to mine in, to store extra crystals. |

Had an issue with the Overview in space. Jumped a gate then left clicked the next gate in in Overview then couldn;t get any right click options apart from the selection "minimize". Moving the mouse pointer around to local chat > select info on anyone there worked. Back to the overview no right click options other than "minimize" again. Found the gate in space and right click "warp to zero" worked. Back to Overview still no right click options other than "minimize".Warped to a station after completing the warp to zero on the gate using mouse pointer and space. Docked and relaunched reset the overview to work correctly.
Not sure wether I can reproduce the error/bug/effect or if I should file a bug report. So by leaving it here and coming back later I'll look for a reply on action I should take. |

Pi screwed up.
Custom Offices access windows are randomly closing. Same problem on multiple accounts. Yes, cache was cleared (before logging in after release).
Can't determine repeatable sequence of events. Main sequence is: Transfer goods from planet to CO, click ok, Boom - CO UI closes. Transfer of goods is successful, but having the CO UI bork over time after time is getting REALLY annoying.

There seems to be an issue with the ore hold on my retriever, i tried to load raw ore from my item hanger into my ore hold and it wont hold its capacity i can load about 19.000m3 and after that no matter how much ore i try to put in it brings up the stack split option, when i hit OK to split it it wont put it in my ore hold even manually spliting the stack and trying to put in the pre-split stack does not work.... help? lolz thanks =D |

It just seemed a pretty hard nerf for non tech 3 pilots in high sec exploration and as it only mentioned battleships in the patch notes it gave us no warning to alter skill training toward tech 3 ( for me 1 months worth of training).
On a side note tech 3 seemed massively overused compared to other ships and can now imagine it being even more so given that other ships now seem to be massively disadvantaged and tech 3 seem to be a one size fit nearly every situation.

Dear ccp, please explain what happend to the spawnrate of ded nullsec complexes, and how im supposed to make a good living of exploring.... if no of those plexes spawn? the faction/deadspace loot droprate has already been reduced, that was not nice but now even the plexes themself spawn so rare. why should explorers explore anymore then? why take the higher risk of travelling around in npc nullspace and run in a hostile gatecamp or getting scanned down, when you can sit in your homesystem and securely run one anomaly after the other and make more money of that? |

Could a developer or game designer please answer this? I cannot be the only one to think this is a very undeserved nerf for the Amarr rookie ship?
When it comes down to it, cyno lighting on rookie frigates is an activity that we don't explicitly design for. We have no problem with people doing it but we will not guarantee that all the design decisions we make will support it.
In this case we built the rookie frigates to highlight the differences in the races' ship design philosophies, by making the rookie frigates a scaled down version of the kind of stat progressions you'll run into at higher tiers. Amarr ships tend to have slightly smaller cargoholds than other races since they don't need the space for ammo.
In the end we gave all the rookie ships (including the Impairor) a significant buff to cyno lighting since they no longer need MAPCs. The buff to that specific use was not intentional but it was something we knew would be happening and we were fine with it. The Impairor got slightly less of a buff for cyno lighting than the others, but once again I consider that fine since lighting cynos isn't a core use for the ship.
In the end my advice is to stock some expanded cargoholds with your cyno gens and celebrate that you no longer need the more expensive MAPCs. |

The module tool tips seems to pop up a little fast and gets a little annoying if you have your mouse pointer in that general area ready for clicking something. Could a small 2 second delay be introduced to avoid this?
Also the placement of the tooltip seems not to be bugged, but I would consider having the box centered above the button instead of the current placement...
Also I feel sad about rookie ships providing people a free cyno ship. IMO you should adjust all cargo bays to make it impossible without at least 2 T2 cargo expanders. I have no problem with a rookie ship cyno if people at least had to make an effort... The boost of rookie ships in general seems a little bold - especially the ECM bonus on the Ibis (why not a harmless optimal bonus?) |

Both of the tooltip issues are items we are looking into, thanks for the feedback.
As for the rookie frigs, requiring 2 T2 cargo expanders would mean making the cargohold very small, too small for the career agent mining missions for example. We're fine with people using the rookie frigs as cyno ships considering that they still have to use a cyno gen module that has always made up the biggest chunk of the price in a disposable cyno ship. |

I've removed every time I've logged in to each account, I don't need it there and don't particularly wish to see it, which is the point of me removing it from the neocom bar in the first place. Ok we're looking into this, but in the meantime we do have a workaround:
First open the tutorials menu, which can be found from the top right of each tutorial window or from the help button in the neocom. http://i.imgur.com/2G7Dd.jpg
Then open the basic tutorial dropdown, double click on the last entry "Career agents". http://i.imgur.com/kEUuC.jpg
Finally click "Next" on the tutorial three times to finish the section.
The game now considers your character done the tutorial and won't bug you with it again.
The fact that people have to do this with every alt they create is not intended and we're working on it, but at least this will get it out of your way in the meantime. |

Switching the color of drone brackets within a fleet to the same color as the fleetmembers are makes it very hard to keep an good overview of the fight in space.
Maybe give an option to set the color for drones seperatly? |

I've seen a cargo hold problem like this with my Anshar where there was obviously enough room but the client simply wouldn't allow the items to be moved into the Anshar's cargo bay. It happened weeks ago before these latest patches. I chocked it up as an EVE feature and found a work around. |

Since the patch in PI, the area where you click on an icon to select it is offset to the left.
This seems more pronounced on the ECU's icons and gets worse the further you zoom out making selection for only a small zoom out tricky.
If you hold the mouse pointer over an icon and move it to the left, the icon stays "selected", even past the left hand edge of the icon.
But if you move the mouse pointer to the right, the icon is "deselected" even before the the pointer gets to the right hand edge of the icon.
i have cleared my cache and it definitely did not do this before the 1.2 patch |

Confirming that this is still happening.
I tried to warp a squad member and he never got the command. Warping directly to the bookmark worked, but any attempt at warping to range resulted in my ship getting the command but not the squad member.
Also, the patch notes call them bookmarks. I thought they were supposed to be locations now. |

After updating I am seeing odd audio issues. While playing sometimes my sound will cut out and in on its own. I can get the sound back on by going into the audio menu and turning sound off and then back on. This however is just a temporary fix as it cuts back out again usually within 15 minutes. This issue has been happening to my friend as well. |

They will also see when they go to turn in that the NPC doesn't see the ore needed to complete the mining mission, since it's still looking at your usual cargo bay or station hanger.
Seems this patch was rushed like many of the others. The issue above would have easily been seen on the test server, so why wasn't it seen and fixed? |

The workaround for getting rid of the tutorial icon from the neocom does not work. It still shows up and if I click on the tutorial icon it opens at step 24, telling me to click done to complete the tutorial. I have done this several times, each time removing the icon after clicking done and it still comes back each time I log in.
Also your tooltips are a bigger problem than solution. Please for the love of God stop implementing new things to take up space on my screen without giving me the ability to hide them. |

Confirming that it doesn't work for me also.
However out of observation (no matter how small), the pictures provided by CCP Fozzie dont exactly match mine ingame. At the bottom of my Eve Help I just have "Open" and "Show Carrer agents" buttons, I dont have a "Clear cache" button. I know it's just a little observation, and nothing to do with your CCP Fozzie's guide, but maybe because of that one difference there is a slight difference between the client he is using and ours.

- Pilot is ally in one or more wars - Pilot has no standing

i can confirm this as well. warp squad to zero on a bookmark will work , but warping squad at range on a bookmark is broken. squad members do not get the command.

If you try to transfer the mined ore while docked in a station back to the ore hold (to a Retriever in this case) it wont transfer properly. You either need to put it into smaller chunks, that somehow fit in, but in the end I never managed to fill it back as it should be up to full capacity, even if it tells you how many units could be put in, you nicely click ok but nothing happens and it wont transfer them back in.
Seems like it hardly fills it back only up to original ore hold size plus some skill bonus capacity (where you need to divide the ore to smaller chunks to even fit them to ore hold), but if you have cargo expansions it will not let you transfer after that certain amount, even if you have more free space to go it seems to be unavailable for more ore.
During mining all seems fine and the full ore hold is filled, its only after unload/loading back at the station that I have seen this for now.

I've noticed that my wormhole has two static connections now. I've been chain collapsing for hours since the patch of yesterday, and always had two "H296" at the same time.
I would have prefered to have douvle-anomalie pop than double-connection pop :p . |

This is not an Inferno 1.2 bug, this has always been like this. Below will fix your problem, taken from Eve-Uni wiki.
"If you do not see pilot has no standing or pilot is an ally in one or more of your wars in your colortag settings Pressing the Reset All button at the bottom of the appearance tab will add that item to colortag and background. Despite the name, this button resets only the colortags/backgrounds. " |

With several missions accepted it's not possible anymore to open each of them in separate window to be notified about its completion. Now every mission description opens in the same window. That is clearly a fix of not broken functionality to me. |

If im a programmer at CCP i would name INFERNO not 1.0 or 1.1 or 1.2. I would prefer a name like "Inferno pre alpha V0.x". Then it comes to alpha then to beta stage then release candidate and after that i would put it on SISI as release candiate.
Also until now we are still in an alpha Version of EVE.
Issues has to be revised from qualitiy control department
- fleet warp - agents and ore bay - tooltips - aura and tutorials - Inventory - ship balancing - reimbusment for skillpoints - reimbusment useless rigs in ORE ships - camera (undocked) - window managment and behavior (Station / undocked) - window managment if ship is switched - Atron (mabye all ships dont show the new weapon slot) - missiles - shortcuts

Unified Inventory
- In-station - Accessed via Alt-C / inventory ----> does not remember the width of the index tree, opens smaller, but on correct size if then opened and closed again
- In-station - Double click on ship ----> Index always opens closed and window does not remember filter status. Also no recollection of index size for ships assembles post last patch
Notepad
- Size of index not remembered on chars created since x (shortly before 1.2 for me)
- New folders disappear upon closing the notepad

Could you add the same delay to items in my hangers? I really don't need or want tool-tips popping up instantly when I scroll across my stacks of ammo.

Good find; experienced it several times as well. This is maybe an issue since patch 1.2. Not only setting up shortcuts to several Solar Systems, also URLs seem to cause those issues.

Similar (or related) issues. As soon as I go back to the desktop (running EVE in full-screen mode) and then come back to the game, the first active module I activate with a keyboard shortcut will also lead to one of the new tooltip pop-ups ... that then won't disappear until I move my mouse cursor over said module.
Minor issue, but it tends to clutter the already pretty cluttered screen space even more.

i know they said the fixed the bug with the tool tips appearing in top left and added a delay now, but now theres a bug with them just appearing over the module instead of top left corner w/o going over the module. can we just get the option to turn the darn tooltips off so we dont have to deal with this buggy stuff till you get them worked out?? |

When opening a trade window between 2 characters, the ship name does not always seem to carry over.
Example: 1: Character 1 assembles a Hulk, opens trade window with character 2. 2: Character 1 drops Hulk named 'Character 1's Hulk' into trade window, and character 2 accepts trade for 'Character 1's Hulk'. 3: Character 2 renames Hulk, to let's say, 'Rock Hammer'
4: Character 2 opens trade window with character 1. 5: Character 2 drops Hulk named 'Rock Hammer' into trade window, and character 1 accepts trade for 'Character 1's Hulk'. |

The delay added to the module hover over is an improvement over the instant pop up on the HUD area, but how about an option to turn it off completely. I mean, come on, I trained the skills, made or bought the modules, installed it, I know the stats for all of them, why must i be reminded all the time what they are. Wasted code imho for a annoying feature. Were still dealing with the horrific unified inventory that is never going to be intuitive and as effective as the old one for the sake of cleaning up old code. This is not a new bug. Clearing mail cache will clear it up - but file a bug report so the problem gets some attention.

In regards to the cargo hold of current ship in space the icon on the HUD still opens the Unified Inventory and not the Cargo Hold.
I have changed the Shortcut for Inventory and assigned a new shortcut for the cargo hold of current ship to test this and the button always opens the Unified invetery in space not the cargo hold as intended.
This indecates to me that you have linked the button to the wrong place could this be fixed please it can be annoying at times.

There is a eve behaviour problem with vessel moving orders. With mackinaw a simple click in space makes it align to. A simple click on an steroid makes it to approach this asteroid. This bug isn't regular, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. In the same way, when I warp and left-click mouse to change the camera angle, eve write "you can't do that while warping" as if I asked to move the vessel during a jump. (the camera angle has changed that's ok for it).

I experience this quite often. It's almost as if previous mouseclicks get "queued". |

Could a developer or game designer please answer this? I cannot be the only one to think this is a very undeserved nerf for the Amarr rookie ship? When it comes down to it, cyno lighting on rookie frigates is an activity that we don't explicitly design for. We have no problem with people doing it but we will not guarantee that all the design decisions we make will support it. In this case we built the rookie frigates to highlight the differences in the races' ship design philosophies, by making the rookie frigates a scaled down version of the kind of stat progressions you'll run into at higher tiers. Amarr ships tend to have slightly smaller cargoholds than other races since they don't need the space for ammo. In the end we gave all the rookie ships (including the Impairor) a significant buff to cyno lighting since they no longer need MAPCs. The buff to that specific use was not intentional but it was something we knew would be happening and we were fine with it. The Impairor got slightly less of a buff for cyno lighting than the others, but once again I consider that fine since lighting cynos isn't a core use for the ship. In the end my advice is to stock some expanded cargoholds with your cyno gens and celebrate that you no longer need the more expensive MAPCs.
Sorry, but that's not good enough. Somehow I ended up with some cyno chars that are now inferior to some of the others.
I tried to petition for a race change, but was told that was not possible (even though its most likely the easiest fix in the world, changing one integer I presume).
The fact that something that has existed for what? 8 years? was suddenly changed and one specific race got the shaft compared to the others indicate that the design decision was quite poor.
Yes I know its not supported for lightning cynos and all that, but its developer choices like this that makes me wonder whether or not this game will be viable to play in the future (what will get shafted next? or changed around so skillpoints become useless and/or pointless).
Please reconsider the stance on this, its a 5 m3 change in cargohold to make the races equal again!
I hope this will be taken under consideration :-).
(yes, its a 10 day train for a cyno char, still it bothers me and I doubt I'm the only one).

Since the release of 1.2, every time someone creates a courier contract for me, it starts showing up as "Needing Attention" in my contract interface--whether I've accepted or not, no matter how much time until it expires. At first I wondered if you'd put in some sort of inane "mark my contract as 'very important special snowflake delivery, please'" setting, but fortunately that doesn't seem to be the issue. 
Can we please go back to the halcyon days where unaccepted courier contracts didn't cry wolf?

Patch 1.2.3 seems to have fixed:
"A warning message about insufficient cargo will no longer be displayed when accepting a mining mission in a Mining Barge/Exhumer with sufficient free capacity in its ore hold."
It however did not fix the defect of the "Complete Mission" button for the mission not working, even though the ore is in the barges ore bay. Agents in the past were able to see and remove the ore in the cargo hold. I'm assuming they are not able to see and remove what is in the ore bay though. |

I have noticed two minor bugs:
1 - the 'reset camera' button zooms in way too close to your ship, forcing you to zoom back out. This wasn't an issue before the major patch. 2 - mining missions do not allow you to complete them if the ore is located in your ore hold and requires you to move it to your item hangar in order for the agent to see it. This also wasn't an issue pre-patch.

Haven't been on for extended play, so things listed are as they come in :
* Mercoxit Mining Crystal "Optimization" - my first thought ... wtf is this? a ganglink? The naming convention used is too close when compared to the Laser Optimization ganglinks. Here you have 2 very similar sounding items, which presents a potential for confusion. Additionally, when you repeat the word "Mining Crystal", you shift perception that it's an ammo charge, instead of a rig. Rigs, _in general_, should possess unique sounding names.
Take for example the Cargohold Optimization rig, at one glance, the above mining rig follows similar convention as this cargo rig. However, when you compare the Cargohold Optimization rig across the board for all cargohold items, you'll notice that's the name is rather unique. There is no confusion.
* Agent Mission display - this is something which I DON'T NEED. Collapsing the list does not solve the issue : screen clutter. I don't need "Agent Mission" screen clutter when I'm not actively doing missions. The basic configuration does not list an option to turn it off. If you've implemented a turn off function, it's buried somewhere unintuitively. Now, if the avg player spends more than 2-3 mins looking for a "turn off" switch in the most common places without avail, then you've failed in your UI design.
* The ship cargo window. Specifically, there are 2 behaviour patterns for the ship cargo window which destroys consistency. There are 2 quick ways to open a ship's cargo - a) double click on ship while in station b) click on the cargohold button. Since you made the windows persistent, a) and b) behaves differently and clashes with each other. Exaample : ehen you open a cargohold with a) method, resize and position it at a screen corner .. and then close it. Aftwerwards, undock and re-open your cargohold with the b) method ... notice where your cargohold opens.
* The goddamn autopilot still fails to dock when you have a fullscreen client minimized into the background in Windows XP. Heck, I'm not even going to waste time testing it on manual dock, it will still most likely fail as well. This is a LONGSTANDING issue which still remains unfixed. How many bug reports do I need to open for this? 1000+?

I'm getting fed up of being zoomed in so closely on my ship every time I log in and undock for the first time, it only remembers after you've zoomed out and only for that session, once you log out, back to square one. today I realized with this new mini-patch that you changed the RATS AI. I use to mine in nullsec using another account to permatank the rats while I am mining with this toon. Now the rats SWITCH THEIR TARGETS just like sleepers do! And they shoot also the drones if you try to defend yourself!!

ALL .... yes ALL the individual settings file "core_user_xxxxxxxx.dat" under %UserProfile%\ ...\settings are inexplicably deleted after a hard reset via reset switch (to recover from a GPU freeze issue). There's also some minor losses on several common settings for the client session. It worked fine after the patch update, right until the hard freeze. The second Link Shelled client session works as per normal with a different account, so this isn't an issue with the client files/installation.
The word "annoyed" doesn't even begin to describe the situation ... try pissed off. It'll take time redo an account's settings (3 different characters). Why oh why? A single user's (aka character) settings loss I can accept, but ALL of them!??? Wtf?!!!
Funny thing, you manage to write a code to automatically back up the cache (after a clear cache is activated ingame), which piles on top of each other (if done mulptiple times) .... which themselves can be deleted safely without issues. Why on earth arent these unique settings files backed up before you delete them? There is zero chance of recovery, 100% chance of pissing off the players. Think about it. |

I see I'm not the only one to be having problem with patching.
Upon applying Inferno 1.2.5 I got a failure to apply message followed by a reccommendation to restart my computer. It didn't work!
To resolve the issue I had to uninstall and redownload the entire client afresh. This was sucessfull however I continue to experience system freeze for some time and this issue I have yet to get resolved.
I've got 3 paying accounts and ' pissed off' probably doesn't cover it...I feel I'm loosing the will to remain in game since I'm spending more time on issues like this instead for playing. |

Ahahaha ... it happened again. I've had to hard reset before 1.2 but it never corrupted/wipes the clients Settings. Fortunately, I'd done a manual backup after that first incident.
Lookup bug report #143105
Get someone to work on an auto-backup scheme for the Settings folder. Better yet, make it portable (i.e. auto-backup + file easy acccess + zipped up). One of the major stickler when people re-install EVE are re-doing the setttings. If it's portable, you'll make a lot of people happy.

doesnt a faction standing of below -2.00 limit you to the number of agents you can use for the corps of that faction? I would suggest that its only recently that you went below -2 with Syndicate which is the cause of your problem. |

Last i checked, if you drop below -2 with a faction you will only be able to access lvl 1 agents of that faction-regardless of corp standings.

Massive intermittent frame-rate drop/client freeze-ups, seemingly without rhyme or reason, to the point of becoming un-playable.
Machine (I know it's old, but it was never a problem before this patch as long as its limits are respected. Upgrades coming Soon(TM)):

I've ran the repair tool, cleaned cache, no difference. If I'm understanding the performance logs correctly (The CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-M thingy in-game), then I'm getting a looooot of lag with pretty much every server-call?
^^Not my area of expertise^^ to put it mildly, so....please advise? Because I can't do anything at all with this at 5-7 frames/second, and I've never seen this before this patch, as stated.

Hi the last update was nice to get but have still an gripe with the drone window resetting / refreshing every time I launch them .. I tried in full screen & windowed in combat & out no diff ..
It was intermittent before but the last patch made it worse ( It relay bites when you can't see your drone health in combat don't have time to reopen the health bare in a fight )

I often have stutters and little freezes when I warp to a location. I did not experience this with crucible and I don't think its Gcard related cos I have it with any graphic setting.
After a couple of hours of playing the CCP.EXE uses +1.5Gb memory and that increases the stutters and also some graphics such as moons do not load then, moons look totally black. A restart fixes it and the EXE is running below1Gb memory then. 1.5Gb seems very high and I can't remember that uses up so much memory before. I only have 3Gb RAM, so 1.5Gb usage with + 1Gb of all the Windows system suff running pretty much maxes out the 3Gb I have.
Also dear Devs, please work on the smoke trails on the Cruise missiles. The intrusive trails starts to annoy me more and more. When I see the trails it gives me the feeling I am watching a loony tunes cartoon. I am almost expecting 'acme' written on the missiles and Tweety bird warping to my location when I see the puffy trails. The smoke trails on the heavy missiles are much better done, they look less puffy and more transparent and less big. Cruise missile trails kills the immersion of being in space. |

periodically while ice mining a cycle doesn't populate a block of ice in my ore hold. i have verified this happening when i know i am in range. this has happened across multiple accounts and is a daily occurrence at least once. please fix! i lose time and money every time this happens. |
