I'm sure that ccp has not enough programmers who have experience with 3d graphics .. so awesome eve may be .. Realistically, it is a database game with addon graphics. the current technology is an challenge for even established companys on the market. 
If any of you seriously thought that "walking on stations" will come soon as they have announced it years ago ... the same who whine about it now that there is only one roomstyle

1) start your client, it will say incompatible (client)
2) click the button that says 'patch info'
3) Note the from and to version, e.g. 'Patch 267203 to 271273 addresses Patch notes for Incarna'
4) The link to download will be http://cdn1.eveonline.com/evepremiumpatchaaaaaa-bbbbbb_m.exe where aaaaaa and bbbbbb are the old and new version numbers. If in doubt, google the new version number and the words 'eve online client patch'. Only ever download from the official domain, if in doubt, do a whois domain name registry lookup on the domain (cdn1.eveonline.com)
The same questions get asked every time we have a new release, no doubt I will be posting this again.

Why do you always say this downtime is gonna take XXX hours and then it takes twice as long?
Can't you just say something realistic? When did you deploy something in time last time?
I think I read: Downtime will begin at 05:00 UTC and is expected to be completed by 17:00 UTC.
Did you change that?
Next time just take enough time for your deployment, PLEASE... If you tell me it's gonna take 2 days, but then takes only 1 day I wont be mad. But if you say it's gonna take 1 hour and it takes 1 day I will!

Wow, i cannot believe how quickly nerds flip to riot mode after going a couple of hours without eve. Its just amazing, I mean, within the first couple of pages, people were already complaining about the extended downtime. How about everyone who has riled themselves up to the point of verbal threats and common trolling just chill the **** out and let ccp do their ****ing jobs. I gaurentee there will be plenty of other crap for you to complain about after this is deployed. You have to realse that pleasing a worldwide group of consumers is not something that can be fixed with one patch, and someone's complaint will get overlooked with so many sending complaints. Just appreciate the good parts and stop splitting hairs to find problems to gripe about. You have driven me to temporarily complain about complaining people, so enjoy the fact that you succeded in at least one pointless objective.

At a guess, I would imagine that they don't make this info public because the patch may not be final (i.e. you might brick your installation and need to re-download the full client if they pull it change it at the very last moment). This has never happened. Yet.
Note also, that they probably don't want their bandwidth hammered by downloaders before they are ready, just in case they end up having to fix problems on the game servers, and the web servers at the same time.
As a professional software dev myself (in RL), I can fully sympathise with CCP. Things get done in the amount of time it takes to do them, regardless of deadlines. Sometimes you get lucky, and hit one...
oh, and a hint for the devs, if any are listening in... If your database updates are taking a long time, try disabling any secondary indexes and rebuilding them after you've finished your bulk insert/update routines.

There should be a new women ship that epitomizes everything they're doing with CQ that can house all the stuff that gets paid for with Aurum. It needs it's own ship category... so that I can sort my overview for it and prepare to gank the first one I see undocking in Dodixie.

Even though I see the reasoning for CQ and personally find it adds a nice touch to the game I think that with so many balance issues CCP should be doing more than just constantly nerfing nullsec. Don't take that wrong, I live there and I've always found it pays me too well and still does so it's a step in the right direction but what about.....
Lowsec being more like npc nullsec(No sec status issues, only dictor bubbles, bombs and no super carriers or at least limit their drones) but with slightly better rats. That would improve the EvE experience of so many people.
Balancing small sig radius ships, big guns and missiles don't bother them but neuts work to maximum effect and so does logi. Scale them all so for example a wolf can't have the tank of 4 T3's when a logi ship shows it love, and a domi can't shut down an entire cruiser fleet.
Gate tennis? Put the same limitation on gate jumping as wormholes. It doesn't improve game experience to have a ship like a drake being completely un-killable on a gate because it can just hop til you get bored or placement gives it a lucky escape.
Little things like that would make EvE so much more fun for everybody. Things like "Tech II ship names now show the name, role, and hull on their descriptions." is a bit over the top when so many others things could really use work.

Does Sisi suffer from bad lag? I just tried the new walking in station there and my PC slows right down (unplayable) - it just cant handle the graphics of it.
Will this be the same in TQ as I have 3 accounts and I have a feeling I am not going to be able to play with one let alone 3 :(
