Believe me it's not going to finish on these forums.
There are people here with 8 years of time invested in training on brining down complex organisations.
8 years which CCP took a big dump on.
There are people with a hell of a lot more to lose in this then CCP.

problem is they are losing active ppl over this, the ones who generate content for the sandbox. i've seen sister bliss in the list, i've seen creamster and some other prominent players promise to canceling accounts. And if eve loses enough ingame movers and shakers, it will start losing grunts and then the bots will follow as there is no market for farmed gold.

Yeah, that's why they are in PANIC MODE. I mean, trying a different spin on it.
Honestly I don't see CCP in PANIC MODE. They are only buying time. One week is a long time and as you can already see the uproar starts to decline. By next week only a handfull of ppl will still be posting on forums about this sht. They are doing damage and crowd control now. I still believe they expected us to behave like this and they expected to lose this many accounts. I don't find it a problem for a company to lose 1.5 % of it's customers (accounts) when the overall profit will be at least twice as much. If anything, they are not stupid. They are following the BASIC steps of crowd control trying to minimize the loss, as company would do. After all, it`s better to lose only 1.2% of your total subscribers instead of 2%. Bottom line, I see no PANIC MODE at CCP. If they were in panic, they would've came with a TOTALLY clear, indubitable statement and they would've dropped the NEX Store.
They are in PANIC MODE, about the leaks. Not about the NEX.
I also said they are "trying a different spin on it". Which is true.
You might be right on the panic mode about the leaks (actually I think you are spot on). It shows that at least some of the employees are very unhappy with the new direction CCP is heading, risking their jobs with those leaks. That makes you think MAJOR changes are happening inside CCP that will alter the way the company worked until now. What could that be? :)))

I do trust the CSM to represent my views. Do I trust CCP to listen and save Eve, I am not sure to be honest. Yet we can all wait to see the outcome, because we are all primed to see through a lashed up PR exercise. When the CSM report back to us, surely CCP have had their final opportunity to respond and we will make a choices.
I propose a 'Black Weekend' for the start of July. A mass log off on Friday 1st July at 23:59 eve time until 23:59 on Sunday 3rd July (if no satisfaction has been achieved beforehand). This will allow CCP to see xmas future and allow the 1000's of members to expore new communities with each other preparing to turn their back on CCP for good
It would show the level of feeling if supported. I will do so.

It's clear to me by now that they are a bunch of *******s who see us as some stupid puppets (hence the way they handled this - they completely ignored us).
I already stopped playing the game and I won't be renewing my two subscriptions even if they'll start start offering the game for free. I won't help a bunch of arrogant bastards, that think so less of me, to make money on my account. You have to have really low self esteem to continue playing their game. |

Originally by: Kal Erkkinen I think this may have something to do with the fact that CCP not achieving the average revenue per user. Some players do not pay for EVE and only use ISK to buy PLEX, thus the money CCP make drops - I guess they looked at the average, not at the old vets - and the new players separately. If they had, figures would be different and this AUR choice would not have been implemented. I strongly believe that if CCP had raised the cost for a sub by a dollar or two, or a euro or two - the vast majority of players would not mind - as EVE is a great game, and that would also increase the cost of the PLEX and reduce the ability for in-game players to buy them, thus forcing them to sub, and increasing the revenue for CCP. If cash is their only problem, besides their poor staff support - the ability to buy ships, ammo, rep, skill for cash is not the way to solve a problem. I think that a large amount of players have already unsubbed - even if the AUR store goes ahead, and they implement it - EVE will not be popular, the demand for AUR will be low, they will have to either decrease the market prices to make available, or increase the cost of AUR to cover the giant losses.
Hopefully they can figure this out. Now.
They projected each user should SPEND about $3000 a year in Eve, they equate it to a GOLF hobby.
So, to raise the subs that would mean $3000 anually MINIMUM, that equates to $250 per MONTH; MINIMUM.
That should give you an insight to their revenue targets PER PLAYER.
Bwahahahaha!!!!
Seriously? lol
Wow ... Talk about completely out of touch with your average player. Wow, lol.

Do you really believe it was a leak? Or have you considered that the tactics of political bodies has been used to disclose the undisclosable on a corporate level? To straight talk is free, smack talk can be very expensive. the choice is of course yours . |

It obvious is a leak yes, given their attitude and the content of the emails.
Fearlesss is not an "internal discussion" paper, if so, where is the employee feedback on the articles? No, it is not an "opinion point" it is a NEWSletter. For NEWS to ensure that employess are on the same page and noses facing in the SAME DIRECTION as the COMPANIES DIRECTION.
