First of all Thank you Gripen for keeping this essential tool running and up to date, second of all, i think iv found a bug.
It seems (atleast on the two characters i tested it on) that the curse's damage bonus to drones isnt being applied? anyone else getting the same?

I know, which is why i was increasing and decreading the amarr cruiser skill with a curse and drones fitted, no change, stating that i should have mentioned it was the cruiser bonus and not just a bonus associated with the curse doesnt change the fact that the damage increase isnt being applied, |

This has been mentioned roughly 3000 times. You cannot fly the curse without amarr cruiser 5, so Gripen doesn't change the dmg values when you change the cruiser value.
Now onto a real bug. Having unfitted High or Mid slots changes the time until heat death on LOW slot modules despite heat being specific to either low, mid or high slot racks only.

I've had no problem's running EFT till now, for some strange reason I started getting an error, " " is not a valid floating point value. " Anyone have this issue? Sorry if it was posted already, didn't exactly feel like going through 100 pages to find out. |

Great tool, I love it!
One more thing that would make it incredibly helpful is showing the electronic warfare strengths of the modules with your skills and bonuses applied. For example, with my ship using an ECM module (or modules), it would show individual jamming strength for each module, and/or overall jamming strengths for each type.

Hmm, I'm a bit confused here. I was playing with setups for a Marauder and using the all level 5 skill option, an identically fitted Raven with 6 Siege Launcher IIs has exactly the same dps as a Golem fitted with 4. Now, I know the Raven has a 5% RoF bonus per level, but does this really increase dps by the equivalent of 2 launchers at the cost of increased missile expenditure?
The dps increase for Golem should be 33% since the equivalent of 2 additional launchers is 1/3 of the original Raven fit. How does five 5% bonuses to RoF = 33% more dps?

Because the rate of fire bonus causes a reduction in that attribute.
If you had base ROF of 10s:
10 x 0.75 = 7.5, which is a 33% increase in damage

No need for such disasterous adwise. Open Config.ini and look at "DamageProfile=" strings. They should have no more than four commas, like
DamageProfile=Enemies Abound (5/5) [L4-MR],16,3,9,8 If it has any extra, f.e.
DamageProfile=Common KI/TM damage, typical for hybrid weapon,0,8,4,0 THAT will throw exception listed above. |

Ain't math wonderful? You are lucky EFT is doing all the calculations for you :-).
5 x 5% RoF bonus -> -25% cycle time -> cycle time 1/0.75 = 1.33 x dps = 33.33% dmg bonus |

i was playing with the orca fittings, and found that i could get it to passive tank at like 900 defense, and thought surly this was wrong and that it is a bug and will be nerfed, so i went into the game to check to see if you could really do it, and it turns out that the shield recharge times in eft is different form the show info in the game. so i thought i would bring it up not sure if you are already onto fixing it or if you never noticed.

So, how about if EFT had a webserver (like EVEMon has) for viewing your saved fittings with the ingame browser with links to the modules etc? It would make buying modules for your fits so easy. Yes, I'm lazy.

First let me say that I love EFT, it is the best tool for evaluating ship loadouts that I have come across. I have found an error in the calculation of the mining amount values when in a fleet with the orca. I have one character that, in EFT 2.9.1, has for the modulated strip miner II's fitted with tech II crystals a stand alone mining rate of 1451.0829 and when in fleet with my mining foreman character (no ship bonus added), has 1668.7452. This consistant with the in-game values, and in game this does not change when the fleet commander is in an orca. But in EFT 2.9.1 as soon as I add the ship to the character bonus the mining amount drops to 1596.1912. This does not occur in the game. I just wanted to bring this up as I know that you are striving for a quality product. |

Install your common garden variety Apache/MySQL/PHP package Download Drupal 5 & the IGB theme Open EFT, copy your setup & Create a page in Drupal with your setup on it.
This way not only do you get to be lazy (and/or cheap - buy a second monitor and you have exactly the same thing!) with your ship fittings, but with loads more information you'd like to have at hand.
Alternatively, pay like ú2/month to rent remote hosting and let someone else handle the massive security headaches involved in opening up ports to the outside world. |
