I think it should be noted that the bonuses from the subsystems for the Legion are ****ed up beyond all reasoning in Eve fit.
For example, its not adding the ROF bonus from the Liquid crystal Subsystem, nor is it adding the repper bonus from the nano subsystem.
I could go on and on.
I hope it's not just me. Have other people noticed this?

Jeezus people. I just went through the last few pages of this thread. Show Gripen some consideration will ya? He's not getting paid for this software, and it's damn good. Yeah there might be a few things off here and there, but show some appreciation. Don't start off a post "Found a bug" or "My Jove Battleship configuration is f***ed up beyond all hope."
There is a proper and reasonable way to report bugs so as not to insult poor Gripen. If I were him, and I read the last few pages of posts, I'd seriously consider abandoning the project, and trust me, none of you want that.
Gripen, thank you for your contribution to the EVE community. Without your effort, this game would be exponentially more difficult and time consuming. I don't have much money ingame (my ships get blown up a lot - I suck) but if you're ever in my neck of the woods, I'd love to treat you to some spiced wine or exotic dancers. Thank you immensely!

Great tool.
I've just a few desired additions.
1) have effects for WH systems (should be a quick and easy update). I was thinking something right below the squad based bonuses that let you choose the type of system and then the level. Stats for these are readily available on the 'net.
2) Have the bonuses for Gang link modules be applied to projected effects as well. This way I can tell how much more tank I gain from my buddies by having that damage control or active shielding module on there.

Request for future eft builds: Ability to throw up a pie graphic (see eve mon style), that shows total isk of the ship, and per module what costs (maybe bundle them), like 3x trimak rig at 20mil/piece would be ..% of the total ship cost etc.

There is a problem with Marauders
..When you klick at Shield booster/Change Affecting Skills - there is Marauder Skill witch gives more % boost per lvl , but in DMG (turrets or rockets) there is no Marauders Skill Affect witch giving 100% bonus to cruise missile and torpedo dmg :)

I was wondering if you can offer a search for Mod's via size? What I mean is where the the item fits i.e. Med, Low, High, Rig. The reason is for some newer and older player may not know all our options for ship fittings in a slot.
If there is some other place to find this info please post it thank you

There already is an easy remedy: unzip the latest version (from the 1st post of this thread) on top of your current version. Make sure your unzip tool creates directories and overwrites all old files.

hello nice tool.
I would liek to know how EFT calculate the EHP.
Because i got a really big difference btw what EFT edisplay and what IG fitting display.
When i run manually the calcul i got something that is more near the IG number than EFT one's too. |

Unemployed as I am, and had nothing to do for the moment..
So, I made a installer for EFT 2.10.4 .

Unpacks EFT to a chosen directory (standard is c:\Program Files\Eve Fitting Tool\)
Creates a:
Desktop shortcut
Start Menu folder with Shortcut and uninstaller
Can be removed from the "Add or Remove Programs" and the Start menu folder
The installer creates a full logfile, for the paranoid capsuleers out there :)

found a mistake in EFT
loki subsystem warfare processor gives +1 lowslot and +1 highslot in eft,
ingame its +1 med, +1 high .
would be nice if this could be corrected in the next version.

have you tried the 'faction' 'complex' 'commander' buttons below the list of modules on the left side?
they even highlight or disable if there are no modules in the correct category

this is due to the difference in damage profiles.
IG calculates with different values. if you switch damage profiles in EFT (right-click the armor/shield/hull icon) the EHP will change accordingly

The Implants that reduce CPU needs for Launchers seem to be adding cpu to the launchers instead of reducing their needs. "gnome" kta series for example

Gripen, your work on this is greatly appreciated.
I'm having trouble getting EFT to grab my character API. I've tested it in EVEMon & it worked just fine.
When I try to connect to it in EFT using the "connect" button, it does nothing. I does not bring up the character selection screen. When I go to the EVE API Access Log screen, it shows successful connections, but EFT doesn't update the character I've created.
PS: Yes, I have checked, my all 5s character is still all 5s. My other character is all 0s.
I just scanned thru about 40 pages of this thread (starting March '08) & didn't find any answers. Any advice would be most appreciated.
One thought...which port(s) does this utilize? I had a buddy elsewhere test my API & it worked fine for him, but I can't get it to work on either my PC nor my laptop. |

SOLUTION TO THE "CONNECTION FAILED" MESSAGE:
Here the to do list to solve the problem (problem could be solved after each step - depending on your settings):
1. If you have more than one character on one EVE-Account, only for one character the training queue is allowed to have entries when you want to update the skills in EFT.
2. Allow the ports EFT is using in your firewall settings. If you can - depending on firewall - allow all connections eft.exe wants to establish. If not figure out which connections were blocked by the firewall. There gotta be an eventlog for your firewall somewhere. Once identified open these ports.
(Note: If you have an integrated firewall in your router you can disconnect it and connect your computer (with an active firewall on your computer) directly to the internet. Then you should be able to find an eventlog of a/your firewall. Look up the ports and allow the ports in the integrated firewall of your router.)
3. Renew API-Key. Wait half an hour and then try to connect.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by point #1. You can have multiple characters on an account queued to train? Either way, I've only queued training on my main character since the patch which introduced the queue, so, if I understand you correctly, this shouldn't be the issue.
2.
I have Verizon FiOS and my modem is my router. I cannot get online except thru the router's firewall, so I cannot simply bypass it. And, no, it doesn't have an event log :(
Do you know which ports need to be opened? I can't imagine it's actually using traffic on something other than 80 & 443, but it's always possible. It would be nice to have the required ports published in the OP.
3.
I tried the renew API Key thing...and waited a day. I have already verified that it works just fine for a buddy who's in a different state.
I'm pretty sure it's going to come down to firewall settings. It would be MOST beneficial if someone could post which ports are needed.
