People posted details of a real life death because most in the eve community have the maturity and humanity to recognise that the death any person is a sad, and significant event. When that person has played a part in the community and history that we all share, many will care about what happens to someone they've met through the game. If individuals are pathetic enough to mock that, through their own insecurity and inadequacy, then I think it says much more about those who mock than those who posted the information. Not every death is the same. I wouldn't cry about someone dying if they were, say, irresponsible and put other people's lives at risk. I also wouldn't really care that much if I didn't know the person and it were over the net.
