Still I'm looking forward to ambulation. It's going to be great to be able to do that stuff while I'm camped into a station or just waiting for a pvp op to start, whatever. Everyone who has been in big alliances and fought battles with many hundreds of pilots involved knows how bad the lag can get and I do wish that will get better in the future. Ambulation won't make it any worse and the guys working to improve ambulation don't have a clue about stuff related to removing lag. My impression is that CCP will buy new hardware for ambulation so that the whole ambulation will run on separate nodes from the current system. That itself should _reduce_ lag as all the people walking in stations will take the load off from the current nodes that handle everything else. Hopefully it works out that way.

Couldnt of said it better there myself. I have been playing since 2005 on various accounts/toons and I still love eve. The new content keeps me playing easily, and at the rate its released I dont think ill ever be able to put eve down. Its currently the primary game I play, and the community is one of the best ive been a member of. I keep trying to get my irl friends to try it out even if they arent gamers, and some do in fact like it and subscribe... others have ADD and well... they go play WoW.

The problem is even if you updated your computer, not everyone would, hence there is no feasible solution because not everyone can afford such a machine. Even once they upgrade the main servers to infiniband there will still be lag, you cannot eliminate it with current technology, our processing speed and transmission speed is to low.

EVERY MMO out there that has PvP ends up being about the numbers its not the fault of the game its the fault of the players. and the players are the only ones that can fix this.

I'm not happy if i don't get to shoot an enemy for some time. I can't stand making isk, its boring. Other players are the other way around. They can't stand pvp and all they wanna do is make isk cough ebay cough. And then we have CCP, the makers and the destroyers of this world. They brought us the dreads, the carriers, the moms and the titans. But what they didn't bring us, was the stability to effectivly use them, and they also failed to imagine how we would use them. No alliance will ever use a fullout capitalship assult without the backup of a fleet. Much less field a titan without massive support. But we all know what happens when 2 alliances meet up for a fistfight. Hell.. a few days ago when i was jumping in an alliance operation, we were sitting at gates for 30 minutes waiting for a system to load. Where has EVE gone when it can't even handle 1 alliance moving around? Keep that in mind, and then try to imagine how it would be like when jumping into a fight, or even trying to fight in a system with 400 players. It wasn't long ago when i was involved in a fight where we were not even 300 players in the system in total, and most of us could not even load. Yet, CCP still insists on non needed game developement. I haven't spoken to one person that is positive about this station ambulation and you still insist on developing it instead of taking all that manhours & funds and spend it on giving us some stability. My last petition about the serverstability ended with the response that in short said 'dont hold your breath'. TL;DR Also, from Max Damage, to Max Whineage.

Sure, your up for a couple of Billion DOLLARS, but hell, at least YPOU can have a Lag free game!.... except when there are a couple hundred people in one sector. So you'll need to buy Big Blue a cpouple times over - one for each regions and let CCP install them as EVE servers.. or you can put up with the lag that you do have... Try playing with 300+msec lag times and then come whining... Some of us have to put up with that and simply live with it cause this is such a hugley Fantastic game! Regards, Jason Brisbane

But seriously, if it makes you so mad that they're going to do Ambulation I think you should just stop playing, and give me all your stuff. Next time BoB tries to crash a system, CCP should terminate all the BoB accounts involved in that utter selfish, childish, cry for attention act! So the real solution to fix lag is rather a lot more simple: Terminate BoB accounts = lag fixed! ------------------ Oh and I cannot wait for Ambulation either. Especially since I saw that video from early this year on TTH site!
