I too have had problems downloading the new client; trying all the suggested work-arounds and being very annoyed with CCP for keeping quiet on this issue as if it didn't matter. However after trying for the last 6 days to use the self-exploding exe (and getting too many checksum errors) I tried using a different ethernet cable. The client downloaded and installed first time. Not saying this will help everyone but it will be yet another thing to try. Best of luck to all still trying.

The problem is, that some of the providers LIMITS THE MAXIMUM MONTHLY DOWNLOAD AMOUNT to i.e. 4GB, which 1,9GB patch is half of. I am asking for my friend, who wants to play, but he has no other option as shi**y mobile operator, limiting the quota.

Try http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/EVE_Premium_Setup_84244_m.exe. If you get bad bandwidth or lots of disconnects, try using different IPs. The used host resolves to at least 6 different IPs, depending on where you are and what DNS service you're using.

Hello, i got a problem. Yesterday i can play so good but today i donŠt know what happen.
When i go to connect EVE, it said me a new parch is running, than it said me if i wanna download it and i said it but nothing download to my PC.
Then i reinstall all EVE manually with this archive: EVE_Premium_Setup_84244_m
Now i try run the Eve and said me : STATUS: INCOMPATIBLE BUILD.
I donŠt know what i must do, it said my version is the 6.10.84244. +I must download another partch? +where i can found it?.
+Someone can help me please?. Thanks and sorry for my bad english. ^^

So I downloaded the full client last week after the Aprocrypha release, all working fine. After today's patch it is apparent that autopatching does not run. At all.
I have looked on the patches list but it lists the latest one as the 84244 build. Any idea where to get the patch?

I am also having the auto-patching problem. Client worked fine prior to downtime and now says incompatible build. Welp.

It has. Those of us with the autopatcher that doesn't work are seeing an old version of that manual patch page. I'm pretty certain that this out of date info is also the reason the autopatcher doesn't work - it already thinks we have the latest version!
You can prove it by going to Google translate and getting it to translate the patch page from some foreign language back to english. (Yes I know it's in English to start with, I just want to see the version Google is seeing rather than the version we see direct).

Today i d/l new patch from automated client, i only got 10KB/sec, before i can get 104KB/sec, and i thought my connection problem, but when i check to d/l with other website i still can get 104KB/sec so did CCP reduce the bandwith to download from their server, if yes maybe they can upload their patch to other download server. this is annoying !!!

What a bunch of ****ers!! There is a patch I am told, download it. Now nothing but ****ing error messages telling me to download the whole ****ing full client again. Useless ****sucking team of absolutely useless ****s.Apocrypha is a really complete heap of ****. I am so ****ed off. Why did I renew my account??????????????????

Patches can be screwy with new deployment, that is a given. I would hope CCP would learn from this deployment fiasco and seed multiple downloads across many, many servers including bit torrent and the other suggestions. Waiting almost 10 hours to download 3 times to have all fail for "verification" is a frustration I will leave to your Nordic imagination.
Please provide a suitable fix/patch for your customer base...we have waited long and have supported you in a tough economy.

^ This hits the nail on the head. Been playing Eve for a number of years. Seen many dodgy patch releases. But this one has pretty much topped all of them. 1.9Gb at 290k/sec is what I'm getting and this is my 2nd attempt. No idea if it's gonna work or fail. Thought I'd download the full client from scratch, but when I go to the downloads section it only seems to give me the PREMIUM version. Did I miss something or is there no CLASSIC version anymore?? |

Only Premium now, with "Premium Lite" the Premium client optimized for performance. (under the Optimize Settings button in setup).

I am absolutely nausious. I've been trying to download and install the latest build about 3 times a day since Apocrypha launched. Fortunately I have had decent connection speed the whole time (about 55 min download). The problem isn't downloading, but EVERY TIME during the extraction process (auto or manual) I get the same "crc failure at eve_client_premium_84244.7z.exe - file is corrupt" (or now 84609). The error message varies slightly depending whether auto-installing or manually extracting (Winrar or 7zip), but they all say the same thing....the files are bad.
I've read all of the suggestions here, tried them all plus some, my machine WELL exceeds the rquirements, I've downloaded files from close to a dozen mirrors....I am at a complete loss. I've submitted a petition end of launch date and havent heard from anyone, which sickens me more than the somewhat expected technical 'issues' of an expansion this big.
SOS....anyone....please.....
