Least its not showing a 12 hour download time to completion. Although I am now near the bone with my ISP's download allowance for the month. I've used over ten gig to keep getting a corupt file. Least I do have one computer updated. trouble is at this rate I'll have no download amount left i've use more in one day than I do playing eve over a three month period. wish we could just go back to download and install not use an online installer.Thats what seems to be the issue for me any way but I have to say on the comp I can use it's like wow well done but could you just shoot the guy who game up with this method of updating.

Sciabada Nishiani Caldari Sudo Magodo Corp	Posted - 2009.03.11 08:38:00 - [158] I'm on a Mac and tried the patch 3 times from the autopatcher always with the same result: when he verifies it he says there was an error and its corrupt ... but I did try to download the new client for Mac that includes the premium here on the website on a different machine and that works just fine. Only disadvantage: you loose all your ingame settings... (overviews, chat, etc.) so its either waiting until the situation is resolved and one can patch from the autopatcher and keep his settings or one wants to play immediately and downloads the new Mac Version and looses his ingame settings.

It turns out that a Radeon 9700 with a decent processor will run acceptably with everything on high but no bloom. My desktop only runs with the most quality being medium - it actually looks worse than the classic client. ---------------------------------------------- "Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent."

What does CCP intend to do about those people with older computers or laptops that can not run eve anymore?? tell them to buy new laptops? comeone CCP bring back the older graphics for those who want to use them and let all the newer models use the better ones.

Can you enter the main screen to get to options so that you can change it ?, I was under the impression that's how you change to premium lite?

Thanks again. Now I'm gonna log into the game and see if Murfy's Law strikes again. (If it works, someone will ..... it up, etc.)

AKira Zeus	Posted - 2009.03.11 11:41:00 - [175] Nvm im being idiot.. its between 11am-12am scedualed downtime.. duh.. all the excitment of being up uninstalling / reinstalling eve ove 3 times manually. ended up installing the origanial 6*** version (cant remember the number now) and downloading the 4gb full patch update from 6** ---> 84244 if that helps anyone seems to have worked; i.e the game starts up and allows me to enter username etc.. guess i'll know when downtime is over . fingures crossed.

Tried the various manual ones listed by those here and they all failed part way through. Tried the lovely new way ccp wants it done with the little mini program yet every time my connection drops it starts over at 0 again. So once CCP shows they can overcome their incompetence at releasing a major content update I will gladly try the game again. Until that time fare thee well EvE.

Thanks all for your useful posts. I managed to download and install the full premium client and got connected this morning using my Samsung NC10 netbook (it didn't complain about the graphics). It looks good but CCP you need to help these people out and get a post on your main web page for downloading and reinstalling. Most of us are happy to do it if we can find the correct files. Give them to us or you are going to lose customers!! It took me ages to even find this thread, imagine all the people stuck out there with problems who haven't even found it.
