Back when SWG implemented the NGE - the players arose and burned the place to the ground. Every fansite or review was littered with how SOE had done them wrong and destroyed the game.

it was like some 2000 comments back i think. Pretty much the Devs the moment they say something on the forum knows that there will be another 200 post the moment everyone hits F5 and sees that a dev posted and even then i dont think they will have anything good to say. Hey there.
my main concerns are:
1. the start of REAL microtransactions (NOBEL Exchange) Pay for stuff with real money.
2. That the microtransactions will start (for example) faction mods in the next future
3. That CCP tries to make a money printing machine out of eve and is going to drive the car into a brick wall with it.
My Computer can't run 3 clients when docked... no big deal, it's ok.
CQ isn't really finished yet (only one race) no big deal i can live with that.
but what i cant live with, is the FACT that people who are financially better situatet in RL can get better things in the game now....
What i loved in eve is the fact that you can be someone else in the game... a Manager of a big company can be a cheap mining carabear, and a Guy without a job can lead a 800 man Alliance, with massive income.
I love the "eve is showing your true face" aspect of the game.
Microtransactions are going to ruin this, at least for me!

The simple fact it has taken so long for a "proper" official response, and is STILL taking to long speaks volumes about the amount of damage control they will have to try and do.
At no offence intended, no customer relations type person is EVER going to cut it, nor is "We didn't hold your hand enough, explain enough, guide enough" etc...
CCP, Your vision is going in the WRONG direction for the the people that pay your wages, now man up and admit it, then do something about it. |

May as well add my 2 cents to the threadnaught.
I've been playing away quite happily since Incarna, tbh the problem to me seems that CQ is just releasing too little too soon. After all, 6 months ago in Incursion we got the Character Creator, Incarna gives us 1 room, next patch maybe common rooms and a bit of interaction in stations, but the way I see it, it's gonna be the following patch before we get any meaningful content from walking in stations. Maybe then there will be justification for making CQ mandatory on docking, but not yet...

There is a gun pointed at your head right now, but it's up to you to pull the trigger. Waiting didn't work. Pann hasn't turned out to be the magic bullet you hoped for, and no amount of internal bravado, distraction with the NeX store issue, Massively interviews, or media offensives will take that gun away from your head.

TBH, your not doing a very good job there. Lack of info, and constantly trying to avoid the issue itself, while trying to be "political" correct. With the typical "we understand your concern", "we love our playerbase" and "we appreciate your input"
Stop running around in circles and give us an upright non bs answer.
EVE is a great game, but still has a lot of potential.
Latest patch now you pushed out CQ. With the promise of more content coming. But at what price? How long has it taken you to make this? Resources?
And it doesn't help with your known track record of pushing stuff out for release with the promise of coming back to add more content or balance stuff later.

What I do care about, is how to blow up that ship in space. How to take on bigger numbers together with friends and come out victorious.
How to optimize my ship, exploring it's full potential.

WTF? Since the dawn of eve, you have sold eve as a giant sandbox (although that sandbox is getting smaller and smaller), where the market is run by players. In every expansion, you have taken steps towards ending NPC seeded items.
And now you are willing to destroy what you have used years to build?
If someone wants to buy vanity items, new boots, glasses etc. Let them, no issues with that.
But when you start thinking about selling weapons, ammunition, ships etc, that will give you an advantage ingame, you are seriously out on thin ice.
I'm not sure why I even bother typing this ****, as it feels like typing to a wall.

Looks to me like the MT model is being put in for us to get used to it, then they will drop the sub model and focus on the the "new" games they are making, dumping eve.
I hope i am wrong but i kinda seen this coming ages ago, not the MT part but CCP cant run eve like they used to with the newer products, they dont have the staff/capital/focus.
