SWG lacks content a long time ago.... but this last change it also lost a community and game play fun what kills pretty mutch the game
After I finished Our Mandalorian Suit, only thing that let me go is the community well with 18 of 23 leaving it kills that :(
Hate the NGE..... played EVE-Online Beta bevore it did get live.... didn't begin with EVE because I had a SWG beta invite. but seems EVE has the complexity SWG now lacks love this game I must admit :)
Wow, I didn't get out much on Eclipse, but I shopped like a teenager with daddy's Ameican Express card. I bought armor from ya on several occasions. Thanks, and welcome!

I could go on all day about the NGE sucking... but I won't. We'll just say that I used to enjoy playing, then I learned the new system, and when I log on the only thing I do is chat with my remaining friends that are online (a quickly dwindling number). F*** SOE.
Edit - Forgot to mention, I played Eve first, then came to SWG when my roomy did. I hope Eve is better than ever!

I've got some good memories of Galaxies -- all pre-CU. (I recently heard they were making badly though out changes even before the original beta. It would have been interesting to see what the game would have been like without the constant developer churn and management that would take stable code over sticking to launch dates).
I think my fondest is from early on -- my friends (one Wookie, one Bothan) who joined the game with me. We're standing on a hillside on Tatooine, me and the Bothan wearing the bone armor I crafted (we didn't have a guild bankrolling us) and the Wook wearing clothes I made -- all of us carrying CDEF weapons I crafted.
The suns were setting, there was the Bothan's camp in the background, and a stunning view over the valley.....
It had a lot of potential to be a virtual world. Unfortunately, however good the initial design, what finally got implemented was half-complete and the original designers had already moved on -- it was the story of the game. Half-complete publishes that didn't mesh with the existing code, because there was no stability to the developers, no committment to the design, and no understanding of the world -- or how the players interacted with it.
The sad truth is -- the game Devs haven't understood their own game, or the people that play it, for at least 18 months now.

Left SWG before the CU due to the compulsive lieing of SOE and thier horrific treatment of customers. I had tickets (petitions) filed that had gone unreplied to for over a year. Actually I had never had any kind of reply from thier "customer support" at all since playing! Every patch seemed untested and rushed and caused bugs which were rarely addressed.
My GF left after the NGE (son of the CU) due to total disgust at SOE's "you've been beta testing this game for the PS3 for the past year, have a nice day". She'll probably go to dark and light.
I was shocked When EVE customer support actually answered my petition within 24hrs as promised. Seems this game is well made, fixing bugs seems a top priority. Stable server and most of all I don't feel like I'm being bent over backwards and shafted everytime I pay my subscription fee!
Seems in Iceland people actually give a **** about customers!

Have canceled 4 accounts (2 of them with unlock) on Gorath.
The game is extremly buggy these days. If they got it working in a few months, I will maybe give it a new chance with one account.
Curently I am here in the 14-Days Trial and it looks great, so I think I will definetly stay a while.

I'm from SWG too. I tried out the NGE and I am completely unimpressed with it. So I Started to look for another Sci-Fi releated online game, and found Eve. I look forward to joining your ranks and getting killed by all you noob bashers out there hehe.
I love being a noob it's the only thing im good at.

Personally Im gone from any SOE game for good. Actually Im thinking about never buying a SONY product ever also.

We could form a large corp. off the SWG exiles. I'm still screwing around in my Incursus, but I'm thinking of moving towards Covert Ops/Electronic Warfare as a focus.
With a side-emphasis in research and manufacturing. I'll be needing to join a real corp some day.

For me, it was 3 strikes and out against SWG. I quit with the CU, played here for a while. Then, SWG still not out of my system I went back and got bored again real quick. Then....the NGE. Methinks it is all out of my system now. 
Anyhow, I was Bradshaw Lightyear on Ahazi, maker of excellent grinding weapons and later maker of incredible starship parts. I enjoyed fighting and helped run a guild called Galactic Insurgency (GI) in 2004. I enjoyed helping newbies, even as a newbie in 2003.
Changes in the game have made that lifestyle impossible. After the introduction of the combat level system with the CU, interaction between different level players seemed to disappear. It was impossible for a CL80 player to help a CL1 player get XP.
The NGE killed the entire concept of a half crafter/half fighter. I was "downsized" from SWG. Let go. A Dinosaur, no longer wanted or needed.
I was also Bradius on Shadowfire, who set up a thriving business in the ultimate merchant city in any of SWG's servers (Brenn on Naboo). Changes to the game caused the population on that server to go so low, I spent more time back on Ahazi. Eventually something happened that caused me to not be able to logon to Bradius anymore, and SWGs response was delete the character and create another. Not acceptable, so I just abandoned the character so that my building that other players had merchants in would continue on, and they could still use it. Great Customer Service there SOE  .
Anyhow, anybody from Ahazi or Shadowfire that knew me or knew of me, I look forward to hearing from you. I can also give you a hand getting started as well, I am not totally new here. I can be reached through Spartan Caldarius, Sunnie Pruett, or Tesla VonBraun.
