And i still play gasp but i realize that SWG is not going to be around for much longer. so i want to start leveling a character on eve now. I sure would like to get in your guys corp. I've talked with Haydan i think it was. caught him on the recruit channel. hope to be seeing ya'll soon. oh and i'm from Shadowfire. if any of you shadowfirians are out there

Add the channel and say hi even if you're not an original 'wanderhomie' :) Remember... you're a wreck, an accident, forget the freak, you're nature, because in the end, everything we do is just everything we've done.

That's too bad, because they really don't know what they're missing out on. EVE may not be a game where you get instant gratification right out the gate, but those who stick with it will find it just gets better and better the longer they play, as their abilities continue to increase. Had I known EVE was here I would have never wasted me time with SOE. Hi fellow SWG'ers! Eccles'matar	Posted - 2006.02.07 14:08:00 - [494] I beta'd EVE, but left a little after live, and went to SWG, and had been active since beta, until NGE which I disliked, but couldn't bring myself to leave. I finally reinstalled EVE, and reactivated my old account (very impressed to see it still there!) SWG will finally get cancelled this week. IT's sad what happened to SWG. I remember going out with a few friends (real life friends as well) hunting, fishing, etc, and every now and then we'd throw a camp up, open some real beers and sit round the camp fire watching the world go by. You didn't even have to be playing to enjoy the environment. They killed that dead a long while ago though. I'm enjoying EVE enormously since my return! I've played SWG on and off since the final pre launch beta. Loved the early potential of the game and the skill box based character progression. when space was added I was able to fulfill my dream of being a pistol wielding, starship flying merchant. But it's all come apart over the last 6 months. Heck I even tolerated the CU but the NGE just destroyed my enthusiasm. I kinda like NGE combat but can't stand what they did to crafting and professions... the crown jewels of the game imo. SWG crafting and all its dependencies was superb... sigh

EVE is one cool game and the devs and support staff seem to care. aahhh another place to plant my buns for hours at a time. WOOT!

I finally quit due to the frustration of being a Droid Engineer. Completely broken profession! And from what I've heard its never been fixed. Signed up for the 14 day trial a couple days ago and finished the tutorial last night. So far the game looks really cool. I've been looking for an MMOG like this that I can really get into again.
