Just logged in to my account on RSI Store and bought the "Name A Newly Discovered Star System" pack for $5000 USD. Roberts emailed me and told me there was none left but I gave him the money anyway. Then bought a "Shut Up And Take My Money" pack on top for another $5 USD.

It's a metaphore on how EVE is addictive, it's not the real stuff, it's destructive, and has become worst on all three accounts over a period of time.

Both crack and krokodil are two sides of the same coin. Addictive cheap drugs with a short high and hard crash with the big difference being that one is a stimulant and the other is a narcotic. I wasn't sure whether the comparison was in reference to krokodil having a reputation for causing health problems or because it's a narcotic. To be honest I think it makes more sense as a narcotic.

I like Battleships

Battleships will not be released till late in the Beta or maybe the Gamma, same with a lot of ships.

This way you will be able or earn them in game or buy them later on(not sure exactly how that will work though as they are putting a cap on the amounts of funds you can change into store money)

Same with a large number of ships they are releasing later, so the smaller ships and the idris will have the ability for LTI but a large number of bigger ships will not.

Why would I delete a game with years of paid game time? Even if I don't like the game, I still get to play on the forums but you see I do like EvE, it is CCPs actions and poor customer service I have a problem with.

I still can't fathom why people spend hundred or thousands of dollars on this game. I mean it's wasted money. You are making an investment without any form of tangible return. There's no arrangement for a cut of the profits from the sale of the game. No interest or monetary dividends for sales/subscriber base. Nothing. Sure IF the game gets completed, you'll get to play it, but you would get to play once the game gets completed regardless.

The only one reaping the benefits of this kickstarter is Chris Roberts. He gets direct funding, has full control to develop, publish and distribute. He then keeps all his earnings in-house while giving back essentially nothing but some nice looking lines of code and POSSIBLY a completed game.

Personally, I would use that money on booze and women and a late few nights out, but hey to each their own.

I will be quite sceptical about SC untill I see a final, working, balanced, awesome, game, however you can actually feel the energy of the game makers, they want to make something big, they have resources.

We will see, so far I do not like the laser effects from star wars 30 years ago... crayons in space!!! I'm also not a big fan of gunnery mechanics tha allow you only to shoot to the front of your ship, like world war II dogfights, one could have thought that some kind of autotracking, present in EVE, is something obvious in future guns.

That said it's all about entertainment, so time will tell.

Well, dogfighting is the whole point of such twitch-based space combat. If you let autopilot and autogunner let do everything, you might as well just go afk-mining in eve.
