It's disheartening to like a game so much but have a problem like this. I also am on a trial account and I WANT to subscribe but with the constant disconnects I just don't feel like I'd be getting my money's worth.
whoever is in charge we could use some help here I'm sure you're aware of the problem but please just a little response in this thread would help reassure me that this is getting addressed.

This helped for me, easy fix:
As previously said by someone in this thread, joinging a active chat channel fixes this problem. I was thrown out every 3min before, it havenŠt happened since I joined the help channel.
If your still in tutorial mode, the chat channels may not be visible yet. Run through the tutorial and they will appear. Minimize the window and your set. I think you can also cancel the tutorial, to see the channels, and re-active it later if needed.

I updated my D-Link routers Firmware, which was over a year old, and I have stayed connected for about 20 minutes straight so far. 10 minutes before I did this I was getting booted every 2-3 minutes. I recommend trying the firmware update if you run a router. It appeared to work so far for me.

New patch...and now a new round of server disconnection issues...
There are other threads stating the same thing...this one has just been around since the last big patch created connection issues.

im gettin sick of this first i cant play 4-5 days cause 4557 build sucks and kept ctd on me till the 3rd time i did a damn full install and now i keep loseing stuff cause the server sucks and wont stay online its not even worth playing anymore im not re-subsribeing i have lost mad isk the last 6 days

Playing from New Zealand and losing connection every 15-20 mins atm.

Actually only less then half a year left to make it to a full year of horrific server disconnects.
Let's not count the one or two days from time to time that are 100% stable, they only add 10% to 20% of total play time.
CCP look at my history of payments ever since this has been around only 1 months have been purchased with frequent long breaks, if you want me to be buying 3 month non-stop fix the problem PERMANENTLY.

Afer 2 months of relatively trouble-free playing the CTD's are back with a vengence. One of my two accounts is dropping out at random, but very frequently. Last night I experienced 3 in 40 minutes then 2 more in the following hour and a half.
This started again last week.
The symptoms are the same, ping plotter shows a perfect path and the client is undisturbed, but if the server-side lag becomes intense one of the accounts pops off. Its usually the same one - whether or not I log them on first or second, or whether or not one is 'doing' something. That is very strange.
I can usually tell if the client is about to be disconnected. Lag suddenly rises and everything freezes. The second account starts to experience things like: overview out-of-sync; unable to activate modules quickly and cans won't reveal contents for some 20 or 30 secs. Within seconds the client ctd's, but as I've said its only one of them whether they are in the same system or not.

I've just started playing this game and can't stay connected for more than 10-15 mins. I'm on a trial, at this rate I have no reason to subscribe.

Any 'work-arounds' for this yet?
I use to play a few months ago and it was alright, now after resubbing 2 days ago I keep getting dumped. Got dumped twice with in 10 minutes this morn.

I am having similar issues. I was stable for a good long while, but ever since last week's patch im preperation for the new hardware upgrades, Im getting dumped very frequently. Everytime it happens, I am either jumping into a new system or undocking. Would love it if someone knew a solution to this problem. I've already cleaned out my cache files, that seemed to fix it before but not now.

this is getting RIDICULOUS.
Since last patch, I am dropped sometimes 8 times in a row and when I can finally get into the game, eve crashes on me.
I have tried the typical ccp bull**** but it is never and has never been, my end.
EVE has done this to me on 7 different computers (completely different brands) yet when I play other online games like Entropia, I absolutely never get any disconnects.
So please CCP, fix this and admit you are having problems on your side. Pointing the finger at us, your customers is just plain pathetic and childish.
Enough said.

Started having this problem of disconnects myself in the last few days, happens to me frequently in deadspace while doing missions. lost a few drones over it aswell. Had the odd disconnect before but never as many as this, at least 4 or 5 times a night. Makes me a bit nervous about doing anything. PingPlotter shows no signs of packet loss at all.

Same set of ctd's for me as well.. however, i notice they're predictable on gate jumps to highly populated systems... Saila, Jita... etc. Ususally as im reappearing on the other side of the gate. This is obviously a server issue.. not a clientside problem.
my experience with ccp has been all positive until now. I do hope they solve this issue soon. I noticed this more when i returned to empire space (population) from lowsec...
I'm a bit hesitant to put one of my boats in harms way without an improvement.
CCP PLEASE FIX IT!!! PLEASE PLEASE!!! THATS WHAT I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!

Incredible! 7 months later and they still haven't fixed the disconnection issue, which made me quit the game.
I thought i'd try the trial and see if they had done something, but it's still disconnecting, even in trial.

Yep, Going back to the old pingplotter thingamybob I decided to try it out and I`m getting between 33.3% and 50% packet loss at London1 level3.
If this is genuinely a server problem shouldn`t they have people that maintain the **** things? Seriously!
If your ship needs repairs you get it repaired.....DONT YOU???? If your servers need repairing shouldn`t you think about repairing them?
And after all those nice hardware upgrades too!! You`d think things would run smoothly!

Both those routes seem to be the meanies. Maximum PL has been 87% so far. My guess is someone went in with a baseball bat and smashed the place up.
See, what's interesting is that these routes were mentioned OVER half a year ago. 95% of all those that had disconnection problems traced it to Level3 London. Yet CCP still hasn't done anything to fix this.
They go on bragging about the 30k onliners and new superhardware, but the sad truth is that there could be so many more, if only the god forsaken game worked.
We seriously need a Eve Online 2! Eve Online 1 is flawed and outdated.

Just thought I`d point out I`ve been running a couple of tests for about 15 minutes and just noticed 100% packet loss at those points in the trace. Could they actually be working on them?

Ditto, still getting discoed FAAAARRR too often. Latest update seems to have fixed NOTHING. How long is it going to take for the devs to realize something is wrong on a BASIC level ever since the first try at Dragon???

I was thinking the same thing. I got an email from a GM saying that another net connection had been brought up. Things were great! For one night... I'm back to 10 D/C an hour.

Before the revelations patch i started getting disconnected at random. As far as i could tell i hadn't installed any new programs or changed any network settings at all.
This made it impossible to do any mining.
Approx 1 week before the Revelations patch it seemed to be ok, or at least not as bad.
Then came d-day. I installed Revelations patch and opened client. Server status "Unknown". Closed/re-opened but same problem. Tried PC reboot. Tried router reboot. Sometimes i do get a server status xxx players OK. I go to connect and it CTD while loading. When looking at netstat i see the eve ports open at logon screen. 1 to port 26000 and 2 to port 80/http. These disappear when i get CTD. They are there when client logon says xxx players online.
My only next option is to try a format and re-install of windows, which i have been dreading.
I don't have any problem with other games at all.
I noticed if i tried to run Internet explorer ALOT of the time the client disconnects at the same time. But even when all i am doing is running both clients i get 1 or both clients CTD..
All i can say is this is incredibly lame :(

No probs before revelations patch, but now can't stay logged in for longer than a minute. Lost my ship, all the equipment I was hauling but his is irrelevent because I can't even play the game anymore.
I'm sorry to say I'velooked everywhere for a fix bu come up with nothing. Th eonly thing left to do is quit. Its a shame as this game was great when I could play it. With no tech. support from CCP you just think they have got enough customers that they won't miss the few that have serious problems. Typical large corp with no customer service.
