can anyone tell me how i can use eft to find out how much hp/s i can get using shield boosters / armor reapairers.
i only seem to be able to find out the passive shield recharge rate and want to be able to compare like active/passive builds on ships but can't see how to find out how much my boosters/repaires would do.

It shows it in the same calculations as passive shield tank rate. The armor tank rate is just below it, and should be 0, (as theres no passive armor tank) until you turn on the rep. Make sure theres a little green click beside any mods you want on
It'll add in passive shield recharge rate along with the booster though
as in if you passive tank say 30DPS and booster tanks 100, it shows the total, 130.
Hope this helps, you really cant miss them

can anyone explain why the fit i have in EFT says i have 60,016 HP, but when i activate my DC-2 and look at the fitting window i only have an in-game Eff-HP of 41,652??
i have the same modules in game and in EFT and wondered why all my ships have a discrepency of effective HP? anyone know why?

I have mirrored the implants in game with eft and evemon.

Open EFT, open Help menu, open FAQ, read question 4.
Also, you might want to take a minute to learn about the damage profiles in EFT and maybe define some interesting custom profiles. |

EFT shows you average values vs 4 dmg types, eve takes lowest shield+lowest armour+hull. _________________ - Rivqua - --- R.E.P.O. --- |

active shield tank doesn't show in the stats the rep rate. if you right click on the shield booster mod it will tell you the rate at which it reps fourth line down SHIELDBOOST # and fifth line down is the cycle time DURATION. extra large is per 5 and it's rep 450 before skills. my maelstrom has a 780 def and it has a shield rep rate of 1240 per 5 roughly 250 every sec. you are correct on the passive shield rate showing up under that little blue mushroom looking thingy.. however it doesn't display active shield tank.

There seems to be a bug with Vista (x64) when you right click a slot to perhaps move/copy or what ever, the pointer snaps over to the left side. Very annoying.
I didn't have this in XP (upgraded to x64, 8 GB RAM, X2 Phenom). Join channel: "Eve University" or read here |

Not sure if this has been brought up yet or not.
Ship builds with rigs exported from EFT cannot by fully imported into EVE. EVE will return saying the information could not be fully imported because certain type names are unrecognized. When I tried it, it failed to recognize the three rigs. I believe this is due to the most recent update in which Rigs were designated as Small, Medium, or Large in the name, while EFT still shows them just by name.

Hope somebody can help me.
All of sudden EFT is showing different cap recharge on my excisting ship setups compared to before. Ships that before was stable isnt anymore, but ingame they still are. Have tried to reinstall EFT, delete characters, delete ship setups and make it all over again.
Seems like it only happens to the ships that have cap recharge rigs. Anyone else that have experienced this? |

Hmm, I don't remember having that problem when I had Vista x64 and I'm definitely not seeing that problem with the Windows 7 x64 Release Candidate.

1. The meta 3 tracking disruptor "Balmer Series Targeting Inhibitor I" is named incorrectly. Eve does not recognize it for import. The correct name is "Balmer Series Tracking Disruptor I".
2. Exporting the same fit to XML a second time results in EFT appending a duplicate listing to the existing XML file for the ship in question. This borks Eve's Fitting Manager import utility (results in no fits being displayed for that ship). Please update EFT to pre-check the target XML file for fits with the same name and prompt to overwrite the old fit instead of simply appending.
3. Please add an option to select the default directory to save exported XML fits to. The default should be %userprofile%\documents\eve\fittings.

There are those new items from the militia LP stores. Caldari Navy PDU, Republik Fleet target painter etc. I think they are not included in the database yet. The CN PDU for example is unique as it gives a bonus to shield amount. Would be nice if those things could be included.

I know this has been covered before, but I do want to throw in my support for apoc 1.5 update.
1) Yes, I'm aware I can edit the XML prior to importing into Eve, but then, I could do it all by hand if I really wanted to. I don't though, that's why there is EFT and it would be nice if it was updated.
2) Same with exporting from Eve into EFT
3) New stuff added to the LP store
3) New bays on some ships
4) Price difference with new rigs.
5) ... I'm sure there's a lot of items I'm missing because (correct me if I'm wrong) EFT is still running on apoc 1.2, which means we're 3 patches behind. I have the feeling things in ones and twos have been missed here and there.
6) Not 1.5 related, but the balmer tracking disruptor issue I mentioned a few pages back.
In short, is it breaking the program? no, but should there be an update to address these issues? Yes, I believe so.

If you trying to import fit into XML file which already contains similary named setup EFT should replace old setup with the new one and not append a second copy. I've tried to reproduce behavior you describe but for me everything works like it's supposed to.

I do not like the change to the drone window, however. I run 1400x900 and it makes me have to run EFT in a very full-sized manner.

LOL. Indeed, EFT is a Christmas present good for everyone! I have used it since I started EVE. LOVE IT! UR a Genius! :D My only suggestion is: Can you insert an update option in the tools? (I keep losing this site to check for updated versions, and am always trying to make sure I have most updated version.) D'oh!

Thank you for the new 2.11 version!
I'd like to point out an annoying bug that creeped in:
Fleet bonus is not applied to strip miners anymore (worked in 2.10.4). Meaning, when I set it to receive bonus from some character with Mining Foreman skills, ore yield is not updated. Armor etc. (haven't checked all) seems to be still getting the fleet bonus. Ore yield is stuck though.
This worked in 2.10.4.
Would be nice to see this fixed, when you get around to it :)

That was very unnecessary and derogatory at Sikari for his hard work on pyfa, which for your information has been out for what? A week?
EFT is good, and so if pyfa, now STFU and use whatever you like, but quit spitting on peoples hard work. ----- Why doesn't anyone ever read the forums before posting? EVE is a game of adaptation and planning. Adapt or die. |
