Edit: When this happens, if I close the window with the wrong data (the left one in the screen shot) everything seems to work fine. however if I close the window with the correct data (the right one) I can't get any loadout for that ship to give the right numbers. Even after closing and restarting the app. That is where I stand now, I can't get right numbers for Raven loadouts .
Weird. You're sure you have the same damage profile loaded on both setups? (R-click the defense numbers) If so, do showinfo on the booster to see what the shieldboost amount on each setup is.
Doh, I spent 2 hours fidgiting with it and somehow didn't notice that I had simply changed the damage profile on one. I feel incredibly stupid now, I'll delete the original post to avoid sending someone on a fictional bug hunt.

Gripen, my man. Excellent job. I don't even bother fitting a ship before running the numbers through EFT first. Don't want to go back to pre-EFT times. You should add this accomplishment to your resume. I'm serious.

I am having a lot of problems with this latest version. Whenever I try to extract it it crashes Windows explorer. When I do get it to extract (by extracting and getting only the icons folder and then extracting again to the same place.) Once I do that I cannot see any of the EFT icons when I open it. Is there a way to fix this? ~ The man who smiles when things go wrong has thought of someone to blame it on. |

I'm a RL developer, and from that perpective i must tell you OP, Great Job!! I haven't had any problem with the application, none whatsoever, its very well done and it works great. There is one problem though, it is too goddamn addictive.

Does the Capital Ships skill affect agility on freighters? EFT says it does. EFT shows it modifying a ship attribute it calls advanced agility. Text in description of skillbook in-game says that Capital Ships skill affects ships that require it. But freighters don't require it. Is the text of the skill description in-game misleading or is this a simple error in EFT itself? I would appreciate any feedback about this. Thanks in advance.

X-Type MWDs have capacitorCapacityMultiplier = 1 in the DB, but no such value in EFT. Overzealous db pruning maybe?
In any case, that means in EFT a Vindicator has more cap with an A-Type MWD than with an X-Type. ... and I really think they should boost T2 plate HP.

It doesn't look like Phoenix is getting +5% kinetic damage per level of Caldari Dreadnought. The firepower increases (due to +5% launcher fire rate) but the volley damage stays the same no matter what level dread you have...

I am having a bug though. Shield resistances are not upgrading per level on Hulk (7.5% pl) only upgrades to the third bonus 3x7.5%, on L4 exhumers it is unchanged, cross checked in game to confirm this.

also, not sure if this is a bug, or im not understanding something properly, but putting a hull repper on, regardless of type (using large reppers) makes no effect on the effective HP on an Orca I'm piecing together

Sorry to say that, but do you know what the "effective health points" stands for? Here it is: the size of your buffer with resists taken into account, against specific type of damage. In short, the power of the alfa strike which would put you in a POD. Active tank will never change this value. -- Thanks CCP for cu |

So it is Mining barges ( I meant barges not exhumers - My Bad) that gives the shield resistances per level bonus? Thats what it indicates. It takes Mining Barges 5 to fly one, I understand. The core value of say EM shield resistance of an unfitted Hulk is 37.5%(item database) now applying the bonus (not stacked% only on the original value)Barges L2= 40.31, L3=43.12, L4=45.93,L5=48.75, this is without all the resistance/ compentsation bonuses included (no resist amp/invul fitted) this change is not showing in my EFT (latest build)
With a All level 5 character and a "New setup" hulk inserted into EFT, the shield resist remains at the core value of 37.5%(item database) when if it is the way I was lead to believe from a Petition about something else regarding bonus/ stacking etc, the figure should have changed to 48.75% simply because it takes L5 to fly it.
Wasn't a joke, maybe I misunderstand it somewhere.

ADD: Aye, it is... Ingame I got 38% (displayed) resistance on Hulk.
Ok, so if base resist is always 0% for EM, then it would be right with a stacked bonus, eg 7.5%x5=37.5% The point is the hulk shows a base resist before you make the vessel active (so then it's not applying the bonus per level, just the core value for the unfitted inactive vessel). Therefore the value for EM resist should change to 37.5%(base) plus the stacked bonus (as you indicated) 37.5%=75% if you work it out that way, or conservatively not stacked, but a 7.5% increase on the core value per level comes to 48.75% Em resist.
Just trying to get my head around it.

No-no-no, you got me wrong... I apologize for being unclear. I did made ship active and 38% was readout from fitting screen (the only place where rounding taking place at natural numbers). I guess, that it made such way intentionally, to reduce calculations on the server's end. You can't fly Hulk without Barges 5, so that bonus just made it's way into static EM Shield resist. And no, skill bonuses is not (never) a subject for stacking penalty.
If your explanation would be right, it will be 37.5 + (100-37.5) * (7.5 * <Level> / 100) = 60.9375 exactly. -- Thanks CCP for cu |

I don't know if somebody reported it, but I found some diference betwen Shield capacity displayed in EFT and ingame.In EFT has shield more HP than in game (CNR skills on lv4 +2x core defence field extender I rig has in EFT 18211HP but in game CNR has 17853)I found this diference on Raven and on Drake as well. Diference was usualy several hundred HP

Possibly my minor knowledge of rigs is responsible for it, however 2.9.1 seems to uncorrectly apply the 10% penalty on power of the Energy Weapon RIGs : Energy Metastasis Adjuster & Energy Burst Aerator
My zealot's grid has 1475 MW, after fitting those rigs, to my understanding it should be 1475 - 20% ?
In which case I should fit a reactor control to compensate. But like I said, I'm new to RIGs

For the Hulk, and any other T2 ship in the game -- the T1 skill bonuses (mining barges for the Hulk, racial cruiser for T2 cruisers, etc) on the ship are already factored in to the base stats of the ship, because the ship requires level 5 of that skill to fly. For example, the Hulk's base stats already take into account the bonuses per level of Mining Barges. Changing the level of mining barges won't affect those bonuses because you wouldn't be able to fly the ship without level 5.

About info we get:
1. sustained and reinforced deffence 2. DPS and voley damage 3. CAP info 4. Resistance
After you fit a ship with spec. hardeners and ammo type, what numbers should you get for good PVE ship ?
1. it's 500 ok? maybe 600 ? how much is enought for most cases ? 2. what is the min. recomended DPS ? 3. Stable CAP is very good, but if it last 10min i think this is ok too 4. How much % is enough resistance ? Metal lives forever !! |
