I have the 2.12.1 version. It seems that that the powergrid usage of the Anode Mega Electron Particle Cannon is listed at 1250 when it should be 2250.

Infiltrator II damagemod and tracking differ from ingame, eft says dmg: 1.188 track: 0.99 ingame says: dmg: 1.38 track: 1.188. Only checked those 2 stats.
Thanks for a great program.

Fantastic program, use it happily for quite a while now, except... Like many others I wasted some hours on load-outs which weren't saved, I had like 7 at the same time open to reproduce some old fittings and none of them were saved, some I closed earlier, some I closed together with closing the program. So if that has a solution it will be very welcome to me.
Keep on doing the great job!

Has anyone else noticed that according to EFT all assault frigs get a 15% increase per level of racial frig to their afterburner velocity yet ingame there is no such bonus?

Yeh, the 15% AB bonus on AFs is in EFT but it never made it to TQ. Also confirming that new setups are not being saved. ------------------------ Low-sec is like sailing along the coast of Somalia...

Thanks for the advise. However when I close EFT, the folders seem to auto reset, so I have to change properties every time. Any suggestions on that?

I updated from EFT 2.10.2 to 2.12.1 and noticed a significant increase in the align time. For example, for a Rifter with no skills or modules it goes up from 3.4 sec to 4.9 sec.
Is this a EFT bug? Or did aligning got nerfed somewhere in between 2.10 and 2.12? Or am I missing anything else?

I know align time did change recently when they nerfed agility on cruisers and stuff. For example the Exequror used to be super-sweet even with a plate and now it is average no matter what.

I don't know if this has been discussed yet, but I found that in Windows 7, you have to run EFT in Administrator mode in order to get setups to save.
I don't like running this in Admin mode as it opens your system up to become infected with some virus if the distribution becomes infected.
UPDATE:
I found a way to fix this.
1. Unzip the download of the EFT program and run the program for the first time. 2. Copy from your old EFT location your Setups and Characters folders. 3. Delete your old EFT folder, not the contents, the entire folder. 4. Copy the new EFT folder to where your old folder was located. 5. Setups are now saved without having to run in Admin mode.

Deleted the folder c:\Program Files\EFT. 5. Moved the EFT folder from c:\downloads to c:\Program Files. 6. EFT now saves your setups again.
It looks to be a permissions issue for some strange reason. I tried tinkering with permissions settings without any success. The above process seems to work. I hope this helps you all out.
Had the same problem under windows vista, came up with something similar, and until i restarted my computer it actually worked. but now its back to not saving my modified and/or new fittings. vista 32 with eft v2.12.1
bugfix plz XD _________________________________________________________

I bet this is an issue with the folder "virtualization" that windows 7 applies so that legacy programs can write to files in system folders (ie windows puts these files somewhere else and then symlinks them into the current folder...)
I notiecd after upgrading to 2.12 I lost many recent setups but my older ones were intact. I also had to run the app in xp sp2 compatability mode for it to even start (otherwise it threw a " is not a valid floating point error...

Hotfix for vista /windows 7 owners: backup, then delete the contents in c:\users\<username>\AppData\Local\Virtualstore\Program Files\eft\ and try running the application again. I found that there are some config residues that crashes eft, but I'm not sure what these are. Try moving these files back into the normal eft folder to set your characters/saves back. (for x64-users use "program files (x86)" instead)

Gripen, great tool very nice work and thank you for keeping it upto date and bug free!
Any chance the next version could have a recently used area that can be saved to like the favorates section, i always find myself using the same 50-100 modules and it would be super awsome to have access to them all and be able to save specifc sets away (like an armour tank list, shield tank missiles guns etc)
keep it up mate its definitly universally appricheated!

The problem is you are putting EFT in Program Files. In Vista and 7 this is a protected directory and applications that are not escalated to admin can not write to it. EFT writes to it's own folder, so when it tries to save data it can not. Keep this outside of Program Files and on your desktop, My Documents, or just in the root of C: and it should be fine.
Confirming latest version works just fine on Vista & 7 when saving when in a user writable directory. |

Edited by: Morgon Borga on 08/12/2009 09:28:47 I believe I have found a fix for the problem with EFT not saving setups. Upon checking the EFT configuration file, I saw that the value for the "Autosave_Interval" was set to 0. Changed this to a 1 and now EFT is saving my setups. So far, it's saved every fit that I've entered without a hiccup. Might wanna try this and see if it works for you as well.
