Glad to see I'm not the only one with difficulties saving fits once I close out EFT Ver. 2.12.1. Although, many thanks to Gripen and the whole team. My time playing EVE is rivaled only by my hours EFT warrioring. Keep up the great work!

Optimal is a range at which module can work (for those modules which have limited activation range). For guns it's listed in <Optimal>+<Falloff> form and for missile launchers it shows approximate missile flight range (real range would be little lower). Calling this column a "range" would be less confusing but term "optimal" (short form of "optimal range") is generally used within EVE.

AFAIK they were removed from LP-shop and now exist only as collector's items and it will be pretty useless to have them included.

It won't solve all the issues. It will try to save changes every minute but if you'll change two or more fits at once only one will be saved.

New version is available and should fix the issue with saving on EFT side.

However, there is one small bug... EFT is telling that Dominix has 5250 capacitor capacity, however it is only 5000. Navy issue has 5250 but not the original.

there seems to be something wrong with the power usage on citadel cruise and torp launchers, the power displayed by eft does not match reality.
for example for naglfar eft says 92k and ingame says 90k. this is significant enough to cause eft to say that it wont fit when it does.

there is no installation involved - everything is run directly out of that folder - so no, you can't "update" your current EFT
however if you go into your old EFT folder you can chop out your fits and slap them into your most current EFT folder, this is the only important thing in my concern __________________________________________________________

That's an Eve API error, not eft error. You'll have Hull Upg at 4 in evemon and any other app using the api as well.

Err... there is much better way. Do this:
1) quit old version of EFT
2) unzip new version to the same directory - make sure your unzip tool creates full directory structure and overwrites all old files
3) run new version
This simple procedure will keep all your setups, characters and settings. If unsure, create a backup before you start. |

Im having problems with saving fits. Seems alot of the time when closed down the fits aren't there when I come back.
Also, I preferred the old drone view.
However other changes are quite nice. Good work.

Love the new T3 fitting method.
This tool alone brought me back into eve and has kept me playing. Being able to see how much benefit each skill level provides to your current setups has really helped me focus and get so much more out of the game.

Found a small bug: The Hulk shows a reactor of 35 (without skills) whereas in EVE the reactor is 300. Trying to figure out which bytes to patch in the ships.dat, but I thought you;d like to know :)

I'm having a small bug where the ships speed is displayed wrong and is showing a minus amount. Also some of the modules are incorectly named mainly rigs as they don't have the various sizes.
I updated my EFT client to the latest 2.12.2
Originally updated an older version of EFT by extracting to my original EFT folder and selecting overwrite existing files. Then when this didn't rectify the problem I deleted the entire folder and extracted a complete new copy to a new folder but the problem still persists?
Any ideas how to fix these problems?

If you change the two bytes at offset 46c70 (hex) to be 9643 (hex, in that order), it fixes the problem.

It seems to connect but presents NO characters in the list to choose from and thus will not allow me to click OK and thus will not allow me to save my API info. I am running Windows 7 64bit and have tried running EFT.exe in Windows XP compatibility mode and have tried to run it as an administrator. The same behavior persists.

EDIT: Using a four-year-old 32-bit XP-based laptop for EFT. I think perhaps we can rule out it being OS-exclusive? |

Just downloaded it and i found a bug. The nighthawk resistance bonuses dont seem to be appling to the shield resists when i flick from no skills to lvl 5 skills. Well or any skills that effect the resistance bonus of shield hardeners either.
maybe i'm wrong but its worth checking out, everything else updates but the shield resists do not change. Vulture also.

IIRC, eft assumes that if you're flying a nighthawk or any t2 ship, you will have the pre-requisites trained. Thus, as you need battlecruisers 5 to fly a nighthawk, it gives you the bonuses on the nighthawk whether you actually have BC 5 trained or not. Sikander 2 - as useless as the duck-billed platypus |
