Let me save various views and drag them onto the neo comm with different icons (Old ship view for example)
Shift+Dragging things from a hangar to the drone/cargo on the fitting window does not work properly. It doesn't provide the proper quantity to fill things
Provide an option to make 'open in new window' the default behavior.
Also, consider giving us an option to modify the delay when dragging over the tree view that causes it to switch views
It would also be nice if dragging near the top/bottom of the tree view moved the tree view up and down like typical windows explorer behavior. |

Didn't take the time to read the previous suggestions so sorry if this has been mentioned already.
There is an option to minimize the tree, I would like it the other way around. Minimize the window and have ONLY the tree. Then the ability to disable the mouse-over expand. Having both the tree and the window takes up to much screen real estate for me, and I don't really need a tree on each window. I'd like to have multiple "cargo" windows open and then drag to the tree to put things where needed. Or use the tree to open the windows that I need. That I think would solve a lot of the sorting problems.
Also, being able to "lock" tabs in the tree would be nice. Just because I can see all the tabs doesn't mean I want the ability to accidentally drop things in there. Also opening the same tab more than once would be a bad idea. Just bring it to the front if that happens. |

I DO NOT want to see whole cargo UI load up with all the windows in it each time when I just double click the effing wreck or a container - it takes time to open and when you salvage and loot nonstop it.. well it's really annoying as hell!!!

Why can't it work like the station item tab: when you dock at a station, it appears in the place where it was last time. With wrecks contents - if you try Shift + click and place it somewhere on your screen, then you close it and access it again, it will still open in the place where the Alt+C (I use it as active ship contents) window was. Can this be changed someway? |

Looting is still annoying as hell with the new UI. I prefer the way it used to be, if you opened a can or wreck the box would be separate, but you could place it near your overview (yes it did drift, but not much) and the loot all button was there. Now the Loot All button is in the cargo window, which for me is generally on the lower left of the screen. So have to track back and forth across the screen now to hit it.
If the old method of looting is going to be dead and gone, can we please make the Loot All button mappable? Open cans, is mappable, heck, changing your portrait is mappable! Loot all was a great feature, the UI gimped it.
Yes, some people find the new method better for them, and for ships like the Noctis where you are just sucking everything in to a pile it is tolerable (still slower though), but when you are looting and salvaging on the fly it sucks.
THE ITEM HANGAR AND THE SHIP HANGAR
Two things I would like to see: 1. An option to move the ship hangar tree to the bottom of the list. When you have one or two ships it isn't a big deal, but when you have a bunch fo prepped PVP ships in your hangar you end up with your active ship cargo at the top of the tree and the items hangar in the bottom and as huge flipping list in the middle. 2. An option, when I open my inventory in a station from the Neocom, to always start with the Items Hangar instead of my cargo hold. If I am docking to get ammo, I need to go get my items hangar, if I am getting a mission item or a purchase, I need to see my items hangar.
THE TREE
One of the great faults of the tree system is huge amount of vertical space it can require. For those of you that don't have more than a couple things, this may not seem like a big issue, but it you are flying an Orca, you can take up 12 lines in that tree just to see the spaces in the ship (for those that are wondering, 1 line for the ship name/cargo hold, 1 for the drone bay, one for the ore bay, one for the maintenance bay, 1 for the corp hangar header, and 7 more for the hangar sections)
A narrow tree-only option that could be to one side and allow players to shift-click the needed windows would be handy. Right now if I want to see a tall tree I have to burn up a lot of screen space with the inventory window that is attached to it.
Also, can we get an option to make the tree scroll bar wider?
TWO CARGO WINDOWS WHEN YOU UNDOCK
This is a bugged feature of the attempts to find some level of happiness with the window 'states'. If you open a different cargo window when in station so you can drag stuff easily and confidently between your ship and the station it does not go away when you undock. But you will still have your old cargo window in space from when you came in (therefore two windows) of which the extra one is not handled by the cargo bay button and has to be X-ed out,
I'm sure I can think of more, the system still seems have a lot of lag issues (like opening a can/wreck at 2500 but you've moved to almost on top of it before the system responds,, and fly-by deplays cause you to turn around rather than grab the loot and keep going).
Check my bio if you want to see if the full version of my sig. CCP made the UI for everybody rather than finding out what the groups wanted. If I tried to make a type of coffee that made all of you happy, and you rated it, the group score for it would be about 60 out of 100. Break into 3 or 4 coffee clusters, and made coffee just for each cluster, the scores would go from 60 to 78. The difference between coffee at 60 and coffee at 78 is a difference between coffee that makes you wince or makes you happy. |

Ok i don't understand why ccp likes to change things that work pretty good like the corp hangar selection: remove it from the UI index, dramatically reducing the actually absurd lenght of it (expecially if u're in a POS) and move sections back to ANY corp container window tab like it was before; making it easier, faster and thus a lot less annoying.

For Heaven's sake, would you please ask the developers to automatically change to the cargo hold of the current ship, when changing ships?
I can't tell you how many times I have docked in a shuttle, changed to my hauler put something into the cargo hold...only to find that the item ended up in the cargo hold of the shuttle. What a pain in the rear. When you change ships, the inventory should change to the cargohold of the new ship. Would really appreciate a little love in this direction. |

The activate on mouse-over is really frustrating, their may be an options to turn it off which i can't find and if so please tell me where it is, or please make one.
It would be great great if the research/development/production window used the same listview layout, that way it would be possible to start jobs on blueprints inside containers. The new inventory makes it really easy to organize you items, using containers but that seem kinda pointless when you need to take it out to use it. |

I completely agree here. If CCP would make a simply 'Inventory Tree' window without any cargo viewer, I would forgive (most of) their mistakes regarding the inventory. |

The Unified Inventory causes nothing but problems - it's laggy, it doesn't give me the oversight I need, looting is needlessly complicated, it takes way too long to actually navigate and select what I need (like when I'm fitting ships), navigating into containers and hangars is just plain terrible, it seems people have a hard time accessing fuel bays, and don't get me started on people who ships stuff around on a regular basis.
I -do- love the search bar and filters though. Find a way to integrate THOSE into the old inventory. |

Even though it appears the devs are done with this thread (lack of responses and/or updates to fix anything), I will go ahead and post my grievances that are still present.
1) I am getting tired of having to close the Inventory Screen after I undock. I am happy they finally split the sessions, but it seems they are still tied together. Since I usually need to access my items/ships hangar while in station it is opened. Then when I undock in my ship the "in space" version opens, so I close it, unless of course I forgot to open my cargohold (which doesn't happen automatically anymore), in which case I then Shift Click my cargo, resize and move, then close the Inventory Screen. But the problem doesn't stop there, the next time I dock I have to click the Inventory button on the left so that it opens my items/ships hangar (since the Inventory Screen retains if it was open/closed between space and station).
2) The second most annoying thing is then when I change ships, my previous cargohold remains open and on screen. I have too many times to count dropped a necessary item in the old ships cargo then had to re-dock to search through my ships and properly move it to my current ships cargo. Please change this back to the level of intelligence it had before when it switched the cargo window to the active ship automatically.
3) For the love of Pete (sorry Pete, whoever you are), please default the in station Inventory Screen to the items hangar, not my cargo. I'm already looking at my cargo, I don't need a 2nd larger window to show me something I am already looking at in another window (pretty sure in the old system you could never open 2 windows with the same contents, it would just snap to the 1st instance if you tried).
4) I have noticed some level of randomness in how the tree is displayed when docking. Sometimes all the containers/ships are expanding, leading to aggravating levels of scrolling and clicking just to select the object I need. Sometimes when I dock just the ships are expanded, sometimes its just the station containers expanded, and sometimes nothing is expanded (this of course is the preferred outcome as it is simplest) .
If we don't get some dev responses soon I might have to start a new thread just to bring attention to the fact that this is far from fixed and still needs a lot of love. There were a few things I didn't mention just because they are repeatedly mentioned throughout this thread and still need addressed. |

The filter options can be minimized, which is great, even better, however, would be to SAVE the status of the filter options. So if I minimized them last, then all new windows should have the filter options minimized and the other way round.
Let me drag ships from the tree view.
Make wrecks vanish from the list of opened wrecks in the tree view once I am out of range of them. After opening several wrecks the whole tree view will be full of wrecks and in order to transfer items from the wrecks to my cargo hold, I have to either scroll or close a lot of wrecks.
Make it easier to close wrecks in the tree view. The little crosses are not so easy to hit.
When I open my cargo hold in station without the tree view, then select any items in there, then click the little arrows to show the tree view it will REMOVE MY SELECTION. Please make it remember this selection.

issue: after adding this new craptastic uni-invatory i cant just right click my ship to access those compartments (fuel) and such.
fix: re add the contextual menu items for these and make them alwase open a new window because when i do try and add fuel i am dragging from one to the other.
Its great making things better but don't remove every shred of how things use to work and force people to use your new crap for everything... ill like it allot more if i decide i like it than if you force me to use it....

Eventually, we are going to need the same functionalities that the regular stations have, Corps access, contract pickup and drop offs, maybe even market and trade options for PI items.

I'm REALLY missing the tabs when in station
Also the game RARELY seems to remember what I had open between docking and undocking....
just because I had a seperate window with my cargohold open is space... dosn't mean I wan't the station to either open that in the big inventory window with the tree (or sometimes just closing EVERYTHING!)
I wan't the same open there as when I last was in station (regardless of what station!) ...I ALWAYS have a small cargo bay window on the upper left... and the Inventory proper a big central window...showing the contents of my hangar at station - how hard is that to apply !
(In many ways I would at least just like to see a decent options window for the Inventory... the one selection possible now isn't really what I needed (the checkbox for "always open in new window"...which isn't very useful as one can shift-click anyways) ...something along the lines of setting up some default windows/category to open on entering station and also... an option to reenable tabs on the station inventory etc.)
ISSUE: No meaningful options to set, including having tabs instead or as well as tree FIX: Add options!
(please CCP, try and stop fixing things that aren't broke or dysfunctional... we needed much more the ability to search within cans for example... that is something "broken" that needs fixing!) |

The last issue I have with the UI is that when I drag items into a container the UI opens that container and closes the old one. If I wanted the destination container opened, then I would have double clicked on it!

The one issue I have, is when looting wrecks. I do not know if this has already been mentioned due to my unwillingness to go through 23 pages of text.
When looting a wreck, only have the wreck loot open by default. As it currently is, when you loot a wreck, after you select "Loot All", the wreck window closes and the full inventory opens. You have to hold shift, then open the wreck, then it will close. If this were default where it closes automatically after looting, it would make the looting process a bit easier. |
