also, shield extenders boost your sig radius, which opens you up your opponent's shots doing more damage per shot, which is not really mentioned in the balancing of the 2 modules.

ya all guns hav a damage modifier that increases the damage. 425 T2 rails, off the top of my head, do like 4 and a quarter times the base damage of the ammo loaded into it.
