Ok what i should have said was they can't see exactly when the servers go back up, they are just guesses. And im sure they try to be as accurate as possible, CCP just have a lot of "unfoseen complications." as you put it . lets just hope the servers go back up soon and play sum EVE =D
also i think people seem to forget that TQ is unique and cutting edge in the MMo world,compared to single instanced servers. and changes to the code as we have seen before work on SiSi but increase the number of users and it cant keep up,
thats why mass testing helps, there is soo much they can be testing we are unaware about
but you still have not got at my main point, which was that they have done this kind of thing more then once...right? and it has taken longer....lets just call it every time....now dont you think that it should be taken into consideration when they make a forcast?!?!

Yeah we get an SP pool (not 100% sure its 100k sp tho) and a new ship.
Thing is isnt the new ship only available if you login befor tomorows DT?
and will the server actualy be up by then?
maybe ccp didnt add the ship so they are keeping the server down so no one can try claiming it?
at least it gives me time to work on my own code.

I love it when people assume that - since one decided to play at a specific time - they are playing the time at every single moment of the day.
It's not my case, but have you considered that people MIGHT already have a life and spare just one hour or two to play eve, and this "fix" is the only moment they dedicate to the game in the day?
Come on. CCP made a blunder (in underestimating the downtime TWICE in a week lol), so they will get some flak from their customers. That's not only to be expected, but it's a sane practice that keeps producers in line - the game industry already has reached an all time low in the computer industry quality assurance, so at least let them get some flak when they blunder.
The fact that CCP mostly gets flak for this small things only is quite a statement of their skills.

Bin playing MMOs for well I lost track,safe to say a decade or more? they just get fancier and fancier, I have to say in general CCP does a great job maintaining it's equipment, I haven't had that much problem with Eve at all, just like all the other MMOs out there are maintainance days and patch days, and downtime.... isn't WoW down for 24 hours for it's patch?
I agree, giving us an estimated time frame and then pushing it back hour per hour is frustrating, but I know there is a chance for complications, so I take it in stride, and wait. In a game like eve... how the hell can you NOT be patient? there are very few MMO companies out theres that actually run a successful MMO.... everything else they get through the 30day free sign up month. and thats it. After the first 30 days most MMOs these days just die off. this games been running several years. CCP must know whats it's doing. so stop crying about waiting for it to come back you damned addicts go play pong or something and sooth the trembles....

I went on this forum to get a good laugh out of all the anger floating around here. why? because ppl are just sitting staring at the eve home screen, thinking of something else to say to CCP. I'd like to know how many of you can reconfigure a server as big and new as TQ. I'd like a no-strings-attached opinion of what an employee of CCP's thinks about this topic.
