Would it be possible to get it in a higher resolution?
And would it be possible to make it look similar to the interface you have in the game? with pictures and all? Im not saying it sucks, love it Just to make it even more fun to use

Still bugged for me, doesn't calculate damage mod for guns correctly. ~{When evil and strange get together anything is possible}~ A tool is only useless when you don't know how to use it. - ActiveX The grass is always greener on the other side. - JoCool |

Great Job
i have a suggestion, or maybe i just can't find it in the program, what about making the cap simulator able to stop when all modules deactivate from lag of cap

Please update your Sun Java Runtime Environment if it isn't already done. It fixes some vulnerabilities.

Again, thanx for all your support
About database matter : for the moment, I work with a pilot named Xssassin. He will give me RMR data to update QuickFit when data RMR be released on tranquility. So RMR up-to-date version of Quickfit should'nt be that long after the real patch came out.
About ship bonuses : report any ship for wich bonuses (or one of bonuses) are not working properly, AFTER having check that you had set a skill level for the said ship bonus (as in "spaceship command skill"). Each time I have a report I add or correct the ship bonus.
About accuracy of QFit : keep in mind that Quickfit is not (& cannot be) accurate exactly as ingame. It just give you an idea (rather precise) of your ability to fit a ship and what you can expect from the fit. CAP simulation, DPS calculation, EW chances etc.... are all here to be able to compare fits.
So all in quickfit tend to be as accurate as I could implement giving the information I could have grab here and there. But always expect (minor) variation with the ingame stats you may end with. What I aim is as little difference as possible. That is already quite a lot of work.
About GUI : you can now change resolution, check the Option's tab and enter your desired resolution manually. Resolution is a saved option. Some tweaks are still to be done but I think we are pretty near from what I can do on the GUI side.... Fancy GUI won't come from me. I don't plan to add icons or graphics, I prefer increase the accuracy factor than make the tool looking better than it is.
It's ugly, but it fits
Features & bugs : I try to implement as much idea as I can have from feedback. Feel free to post feedback on the Quickfit forum (see offical website). I reply as much as possible and it's often end with resolution of problems or added feature.
Big thanx to all people who send me some bucks ! I'm still rather poor, but at least I had bought a new Stabber last day, and for this I would thank you.
Many thanx and keep having fun with this great game we have !

Yeah! Don't know what you changed, but this version works fine on my debian laptop, I no longer have those null pointer exceptions!
And the resolution change is a great addition good job!
PS: I saw on elegance forum that somebody used to make previous versions work on Fedora (Red hat based linux), dunno why I had those null pointer exceptions, maybe something slightly different between Debian and Red Hat distributions, or the JRE version. Well, hopefuly those exceptions won't come back in future versions .

Excellent work. The only problem i am having is that my raven with caldari bs 4 is showing a ROF of 9.58 or so, while my in-game raven with exact same fitting/skill/implants, is giving a 10.15 or so. I tried finding the problem myself, and the only conclusion i could find was that the t2 missile spec skills are being used with t1 named mods, which isnt actually the case in-game.
Other than that, superb program. The only thing missing , is a reset all button ------------------------------------------ Dreadnought Production INC is recruiting Join DPI Channel Or Visit (IGB) http://www.mmorpg-online.net/intro.html |

another slight strange thing: default resists for damage computation seem to be shield resists, but then there is a mistake with the 30% thermal resist, it's 20%

suggestion: add an option which will allow to automatically restart firing guns after reload, it'll make cap simulations at high speed with weapon cap usage easier .

This thing is great, just what a newbie like me needs to see what does what and how good it will be. It has helped me optimize my current cruiser ship and it's a great way to decide on what to get next without having to purchase it first.
Expect some isk later on tonight.

This is BLOODY FANTASTIC. Honestly, I cannot put into words how helpful this actually is. I've been playing with it for the past 2 hours, I can see many more hours to come being to good use on this.

New version out : 0.98s (12.12.2005) -Some tweaks in default window size -Simulation cap'regen is tweaked again -New options : auto reload in simulation, use fitted caracteristics of ships for comparaison -Option for "strip a fit" (at the top of equipment panel) -few bugs corrected and things I have forgotten
Have fun

VERY nice proggie! Some bugs, but that's unavoidable given the amount of calcs & data. Certainly beats my poor Heatsink in functionality, I could never make myself do a module DB :)
And yes, it would be more realistic to use 2.5 mod for max cap regen instead of 2.6, because while 2.6 is closer to the correct theoretical value, the timing of module activation cycles usually results in a bit more cap spike-drain than theoretical. With 2.5, if your theoretical cap drain is lower or equal to max regen, you're practically guaranteed to never run out of cap. With 2.6, you can run out of cap if the drain is equal or just a bit lower, although it takes a long time.
Actually, seeing as you're obviously more a more skilled programmer than I am, I'd like to help with QuickFit if you need any help. I can certainly think of several useful simulations to add, like tank per sec, tank time-to-live, adding cap drain & destab to cap sim, etc. :)) _____________________ Heatsink - Ship efficiency calculation proggie |

Great tool. I was especially impressed to see that it was correctly taking fractional amounts (38.25 CPU, etc) into account, even though it's only displaying the integer. Very nice.
One addition: Ballistic Control System II.

Not sure if this has been fixed or not (not the latest version, will try that later), but it looks like weapon upgrade skill does not reduce the CPU cost on turrets.
Really nice program, keep up the good work!
