Tumbles Blue Labs Knights Of the Southerncross	Posted - 2007.08.13 22:17:00 - [601] Verite, Hey i think the map is getting there. Wondering if we can make a request for color change for KOS. I like the starburst color theme going on for RA/TCF/Goon. And I like the blues and purples of BOB and FIX. Right now KOS seems to be the same color as FIX. Could we give KOS an orange color close to TCF color but maybe a little brighter? Also there needs to be greater contrast between the RISE and AAA greens. Would suggest giving the green back to IAC and changing AAA. I know that symbology is a bugger with this many classes to show...good work so far, its looking good ;) -Tumbles
Rhaegor Stormborn	Posted - 2007.08.13 22:23:00 - [602] The Southern area of the map where BoB/RMF/UL/RA/TCF is confusing because Red Moon Federation and RA have the same red color and BoB and UL have the same blue color, and none of the areas are labeled.

BoB blue is a pretty distinct color from the light blue used by United Legion so I'm going to leave that as is unless I get a really good reason to change it. I'll switch out RMF for something else however since you're right about the red blobs there. That whole area is a mess because of so many alliances so close when I really only have about a dozen usable distinct colors. ---- AUS Corp Lead Megalomanic

Those were much nicer to look at because they were fairly basic colours (r/g/b/y) suitably arranged. Take the drone regions for example. I know there were some colours next to each other that were quite similar, but in your version they are rather uncomfortable neighbours (pinks/oranges/lime green/purple/brown). Much luv for what you're doing. :)

Like I've said before I'm fairly limited in what colors I can actually use because of intensity and the need to tell them apart, but I'll see what I can do about recoloring the drone regions this weekend. ---- AUS Corp Lead Megalomanic

Your experimental algorithm a day or so ago worked fairly nicely. I know it meant that the bigger alliances had about 5 copies of their name label on their larger clumps of territory, but I didn't think that was necessarily a bad thing.
