Wow, 4 years eh?, well done guys. It's hardly suprising that eve has lated 4 years, it's not as though there was much deccent competition out there .
Soooo many memories, I supposed my first bad one was getting killed many years ago when you used to warp in at random points, I got ganked doing a mission, always hated missions after that point
Best mo' was getting my first bill after 3 years in the game, it went in 2 days, lol.
Here's to another 4 years and beyond.
Cheers!

I wish i could say my most memorable moment was a good one. I was through with EF-1 and was getting my stuff out of that area of space. Last cargo run out. Held at the time my most valuable position a faction frigate a friend had built. Easily 60 mill+ in empire. At the finish line of N-rael i ran into an RA camp. I lost in total probably over 80 million in cargo and a clone.
There was one moment of satisfaction however. When i got the kill mail i found the Dramiel was destroyed with the itty 3. At that point not much mattered to me besides that ships fate. I am just glad no one else got to use it.
On the other hand this has been one very fun game and i am with this payment cycle shifting to a 3 month system. This game rocks!

been here a long long time, most memorable time i guess was when i had been saving for months to buy me one or two cruisers, got me a moa and a blackbird and omfg they made me smile with pride :)
Next thing i know im warping in to a belt in nonni to see a raven pilot warping out, i convo him telling him hes left a can here and then he begins asking me if id like a present because hes decided hes quitting the game. Opens the trade window and woah....there she is the raven :D this was at the time of BS's being some of the most rarest ships around and this ship became our corp (Manic Securities) flag ship for quite some days.
However i eventually died in it in EC-P8R to a dread npc when i switched my computer off in fight against this npc hoping id survive lmao dont do it agen!!

Even though I've got only just about four months in, I've got two most memorables:
The Game One: In my first Myrmidon, flying one of my first Level 3 missions, getting totally surprised by a sudden incoming wave of NPC pirates. When I made it out with just 3% structure left, I realized two things:
1. That I'd never, ever, forget to fully read the mission description again.
2. That I had to start breathing again.
The People One:
It seems that not a week, or sometimes even a day, goes by that I don't meet yet another cool person who plays this game, regardless of whether I happen to agree or disagree with them on game-related issues. To me, that speaks volumes about the true character of this game and why it's as beloved as it is by those who play it.

Edited by: Xydonus Xavior on 05/05/2007 20:03:59 What I remember most about EVE, was when I was doing a rescue operation with two corp members from an old corp I used to be in to save a fellow corp member who was being camped by the enemy outside a station in Jita. We all jumped in at the same time and manage to scare of the enemy, giving enough time for our corp mate to get out and head back to our HQ. But it wasn't over. When I left Jita, and into the next system, I decided to relax a bit and leave it on autopilot. I was on my own in my Hyperion and my two corp mates where about 2 to 3 jumps away.
Thats when I got attacked, blissfully unaware of what was going on. Before I knew it, my ship's power was being drained and I was being warp jammed. I called for help, my two corp mates where now about 4 or so jumps away, but where coming to my aid. At that time, just before they where about to jump to my aid, my ships shields was gone, and all I had left was about 70% of hull. So I decided to set the self distruct. Next thing my corp members jump in and with a few concentrated shots, blew up the enemy ship and pod-killed the sucker. At that moment, my best guess was that the self distruct was at least 10 seconds, and I had about 50% left of hull. So I quickly docked to prevent the ship from being destroyed.
Despite some tactical errors I made, I'v learned from those mistakes and I treasure that moment in EVE because it was tense and fun at the same time.

My most memorable even was taking a screen shot of a 25 ship Evolution gang mining Veldspar in the empire just prior to the release of Capitol ships - it confirmed everything we have always know about Evolution (now BoB) - carebears at heart, one and all.

Happy Birthday to EVE and props for ccp for ongoing work :)
A friend of mine nagged me for a week after the game came out to buy and play the game :) Im thankful for that Nagging week as ive been playing for these years since :)
Most memorable event....exploring 0.8 and lower and getting popped in a 0.5 belt in a couple of tristans heart racing trying to survive the rats.
Tornsoul mentioned the Cfs - Dsma days wich sparked some memories as well hehe I remember a sunday morning in 04 in those days setting up a med warp bubble near tpar...the electricity went out on the house I lived in at that time...as soon as the lights went out i started to make calls to friends who played eve...to kill the rats who were at the gate,as my apoc was stuck in. Woke up a friend who had been partying the night before....."dude its a game what the f*** is wrong with you" Needless to say my apoc went bye bye to some 20k rats :)
Keep up the good work :) ---------------------------

Anyhow, as a player I remember flying around Syndicate in a Stabber, my first cruiser, and running into Lord Zap in a Domie. He also had a few mo0 Corp friends with him, namely two Blackbirds.
I have never turned a ship arouind so fast and ran away as I did that day.
A few time I have fought mo0 and I am pleased to say that I never lost a ship to them. ----------- Event Actor

My most memorable event in EVE was the whole CA/SA war, pvp was just never the same again...
I feel obliged to post a few screenshots from EVE back in 2004 onward, so here we go!
Battles: "65 in local" "It's gonna be big" SA fleet jumps into CA attack force Blackbird down! Ack! The drones! Slightly outnumbered.. Shortly after mobile warp disruptors were added
Bugs: "I've got beach balls in my belt" The infamous "stuff stuck to my ship" bug The client had enough. (also old EVE website) Roid eating a gate

I can safely say this is the best game i have ever played in. Next month i'll be celibrating my own 4 year eve birthday :)
I have several memorable moments in eve, like my first cruiser my first thorax my first megathron etc etc etc etc.
Its been a blast and i hope you keep on evolving this game too a point where we can have fleet battles with not much lag ;)
I love this game, but make sure its more lag free in combat fights before putting in new content.
See ya out there :)

Most memorable.....hmmmm.
My first pos, my first roids, my first hulk... so many things.
Alas it is the painful and the shocking that branded the deepest. Manas and Romble (since thrown out, to Eve Uni's credit) ganged up and ejected me from Eve Uni without so much as a memo to the corp, their fellow directors, or even the CEO. Luckily their misbehaviour brought me to Darkstar 1, a corp that has brought me no end of pride and good times.

/me bows to thoes greater then him
Im young, but I have come to love this game, PvP, PvE, trading, everything.
My most memerable time was going on a mission that sent me and my ibis into low sec and getting the fast ticket back.
If it ere not for a few people that explaind things to me I probably would have droped the game, now I get juiced to go into lowsec, 0.0 dont hold the same thrill, but low sec has been great.
Thank you for a great game, and a great year that I have played.

Happy Birthday Eve.
Best moment: Slugging it out in 0.0, defending our system. I'm the wing commander of 50 heavy damage dealers. We've taken out most of their battleships, but the enemy has frontlined their carriers, and we're getting hammered as our EW support drops like flies.
I'm in the middle of a bubble when I lose my ship, and am slow-boating out so I can warp my pod away. Suddenly the FC informs us he's been podded, and turns command over to me as I'm the only WC left on the field. And I get to say The Words. Those fateful words I've been waiting my entire life to say:
"This is Plutonian! I am assuming command of the fleet."
It was a defining moment, only slightly spoiled by what quickly appeared in gang chat: "Uh. Pluto's in his POD!"
No way was I going to miss an opportunity like this simply for the lack of a ship. I ignored such comments and began sorting and calling targets until our force was left with no choice but to flee.
And only after the battle realized I must have pressed the CTRL button (and not my assigned TS key) in my excitement... because no one heard The Words.
Well, I've waited 39 years... maybe next time.

Well, for me, it had to be after about 9 months of playing when someone told me I could buy Skillbooks to fly stuff better than the Ibis I thought I was stuck with. I've never looked back.
oh yeah, and being a double agent in BoB, IRON and affiliates and.. Core Complexion but trying to keep it fair with as much carnage as possible and plot twists as kooky as 'British Intelligence' Starring Boris Karloff.

Crumbs, Has it really been 4 years? I;ve been hear since Eve day 1, wee bit earlier than that.
As for memories, mostly good, some scream at monitor moments when the ole ship goes boom :)
I rememeber hopping in-game that evening, Getting the char created then flying into low sec space to rendezvous with Hadean Drive Yards for where we were setting up shop. Memory is rusty on the system name (Overkill prolly could dig it up) but then started off with Ninja mining Arkanor along with Dr Seuss.

Thank you for Eve*****.
Fondest memories...
Betatesting the game. You guys kept making it sooooo much better every damn time.
Ninja mining for Omber in Balle to buy my first Navitas.
Pirating NPC convoys for Harvester mining drones.
Visiting New Eden in my Punisher and taking a screenie of the EVE gate.
I do have to say that my favourite experience was the Crielere Event where Doc Brown popped Fatal. I remember the Solar Winds gang that came in and tried to keep the station alive. I had never seen a corp field a 100-person gang. It was amazing to see all those players join in and fight together for an event that would change the EVE universe. It was really cool to see how closely people watched the events in the game. Thank you for everyting so far and keep it up. __________________________________________________
