Woohoo...4 years of consant bugs-lag-brain malnutrition and fun!!! My most memorable moment was my first podding... Around a year and a half ago, on a previous dead character i used to be a bounty hunter i liked to fly a Jaguar(very good ship ) So i warped in to a belt on low sec...nothing happened the first minutes...but it was too quiet...so suddenly...something starts uncloaking, i look at my overview...a pirate of -5 stat flashing red with a skull and a 10 million bounty, in a Stealth bomber Manticore. I locked him, webbed and warp scrambled him and destroyed him before he could do anything...The poor bastard didnt even notice the fast he died...After that i webbed and warp jammed his pod and as a joke i ransomed him , but he didnt pay...so all i did was slip my finger from F1 to F4. . Guess what...the bastard had some friends ...they came in the belt and my interior care told me to warp out and not enter low sec in the next 2 weeks.
So that was my one of my most memorable moment in EVE. I also was killed once by a gang of 16BS and 4CS...Guess who..M-D-K

Happy b-day eve
I would say one of the best memories i have was a pvp op in which i was part of back in the day with there was still a curse alliance. The op entailed several battleships cruisers and a few frigs including one heron. We locked down the poor sole who would become the first victim of many that night for the heron. We had many many laughs over that episode. who would of thunk it that a heron would be part of an op to kill.

I do not know why i am posting this, no-one is going to read it.
Happy Birthday Eve.
I regret not playing from the start, I did not have the internet then, but I kept re-reading the articles about it in my PC Gamer magazines, I kept looking at the pictures and dreaming.
I finally began playing, when PC gamer offered a free 14day trial. I've been playing just over two years now.
For every player in Eve, there is one pilot who is truely dear to them, the first person they meet in the game and truely click with. If its a fellow miner who warps to your belt, a mission runner who asks for help, or a pirate who you get on well with.
I met mine, we made ISK, and we made great plans, of arkonor, and mercoxit, and battleships and stations.
The most memorable moment of my Eve life was about 30 days after I had last spoken to him, when I finally realised he was not going to log back on.
He has been in my addressbook for two years.
Red light.
Always, red light.

Edited by: Utani on 05/05/2007 22:00:33 My first memorable moment was was my first battle fighting a Raven in a Maller. Luckily my corp mate had jammed him down but he was firing fof missiles which seemed to come my way
The target managed to escape that fight but I ran into him solo at a gate, Maller vs raven and he put me into hull before I got away.
I then warped to a station waiting for him to warp in and I docked when he did. I started frantically calling for help in corp chat not realising that I was typing into local.
The target was nice enough to point out my mistake to me. Doh
Thanks CCP for a great game and here's to another 4 years

Happy 4th Birthday EVE! Thanks to CCP for the greatest and most unique game (If not MMO) that ever graced this earth.
I've only been on since Septembre of last year, but I would have to say my most enjoyed moment so far has got to be the first Lowsec mission I did with some veteran players I'd never met before. I figured I might as well, as they were a bunch of really nice guys.
It started fine, I was in a Jaguar and the other 4 players were in a mixture of Battleships and Command Ships. When we finished the mission, we decided to head back to the local station for repairs, re-armament and to enjoy our loot . However, there was a group of pirate players waiting outside (Around 4-5, and it was the only station in the system). Most of us had docked already, but just in case, the other guys in my group started fitting in case they decided to take us on. This was also the first time I learned anything about PVP in EVE. They had me assigned as a "Tackler", and told me what I needed to do. Seemed easy enough. We started to launch from the station, and before I knew it Missiles and energy blasts were carving through space all around us. I picked a juicy looking ship (A Raven if I remember correctly) and Did what they told me...Warp Scrambled, Webbified, and a little Pew-Pew just for laughs. My group concentrated on this one, and chewed through him in no time. It was the first time I saw a Battleship explode that close. The whole time I thought my heart was going to jump out of my chest. With that, I kept doing what Ion told me...Get up close, orbit, and activate the modules they had given me. We took another two down before they started to retreat, and in the chaos we got another one. When i looked around, I saw that we all had taken a lot of damage, but none of the guys I was with lost a ship. I didn't know how good these guys were until now, and I had a newfound respect for adept PvP players in EVE. Of course, we celebrated our victory while looting the wrecks...One of the players that attacked us seemed incredibly irritated at his destruction, but the other two that chatted with us were very friendly. This was my first ever PvP experience, group fight, and also the first time I witnessed how truly awesome this game really is.
It was the best day of my life in EVE.

4 years!! omg, what happened to 3 years? i mean, it was only, uh, hmm, wow, time flies huh :}
Not sure if this was my best moment or not, but it's certainly something i'll remember for a long time. I was in a player corp, not two/three weeks into the game, flying and trying to osprey mine in a 0.4, probably only there because i didn't know the dangers. Anyway, some other new guy comes into the belt the two of us are mining, my mate scarpers and i'm left there thinking, hmm, he's new too, my single assault launcher will see him off. Needless to say as he sat there warp scramming me, all i could do was try and navigate the roids blocking my path.
I assploded, but the next day when he tried the same thing, i heard reports in local of some rescue or something weird, only seconds later with me boosting my shields, these two huge ships entered the belt, a battlecruiser class warship accompanied by this awesome battleship, things i could only dream about flying, they absolutely decimated this pirate that was trying to kill me. It was the weirdest feeling seeing these massive ships (to me) appear just when i needed them and save the day :)
I later joined that corp and it set me up for the rest of my eve experience, a most enjoyable one i have to say.
PS they looked bigger because default zoom wasn't so far out and you cuold zoom in all the way on ships back then (yes it's been bug reported ;) )

No singular moment stands out as "best" but I do have a couple memorable ones.
Taking on a Tau Ceti Taranis in my Claw 1v1 and finally popping it when I was down to 25% hull left.
Taking on 20 mixed Sylph ships with a 9 man gang and pwning 2 of their Battleships and an assortment of smaller ships without taking any losses.
Breaking 1 Billion ISK for the first time.
Finally getting an agent offer for a Fleet Tempest that I had mission *****d for two months to get.
Flying a Vagabond for the first time. What a rush.
Flying a Sleipnir for the first time. Oh the power!!
And finally... fighting for the freedom of the Minmatar race. It's wonderful being a terrorist!
Happy B-Day CCP and thanks for 1.5 great years so far.
As long as you put as much effort into the WoD game as you've put into EVE, you'll have me as a customer for a long time yet.

Anyway, most memorable event for me would have to be that time I wasted a taranis with an osprey, back when I was living in Delve with Exuro. Dont think anyone saw that one coming. _________________ [SAK] Alumnus--And Proud Of It! -- aka Cpt Bogus Is that my torped sig cloaking your base?

The most memorable time for me was when I joined EVE. It was a terrible case of desperation. Earth And Beyond had shut down and it was disaster. I tried numerous games. Most of which, were as dry and as usless as a witches fart in january. Dark and Light was a good candidate but it took so long to be released that we gave up on it.
I dont remember who put me on to EvE but i think it was someone from Balistic mystix. Anyways, long story short, I'm still playing eve and enjoying it.

The day Helena, Tinwhistle, and I stalked this apoc through two systems, several belts before we got him traped. Three Blackbirds against one apoc...was a good fight even though we got petitioned for griefing. GM and us had a good laugh after that.
Or the epic flight of torpedoe armed kessi's making one pass at a domi....those were the days.

First off: Happy 4th birthday EVE! After all this time, it's still growing, getting a larger player base, and being a unique MMOG in this world saturated with Fantasy MMOGs.
As for most memorable experiences, I have several, although not all of them are nice ones :)
Firing missiles for the first time, and falling in love with them. Flying around in a Rifter, taking on 85k cruiser rats thinking they are the hardest thing in the world. Finding a Shadow Serpentis spawn, and ogling the huge amount of bounty it was worth (I think it was only around 100k). Getting a Local Hull Conversion Cargo Expander, and finding out how much it was worth (35mil). Transporting the previously mentioned Cargo Expander, and losing it to a sniping BS on a gate. Realizing I did all that while I was on the TRIAL period. Being utterly annihilated in a Caracal by a pirate in a Rifter. Going into 0.0 space the first time, and killing BS rats in a Caracal. My first Drake (which I subsequently lost 3-4 hours later). Pulling a Leeroy Jenkins on a gate camp with a huge bubble, BSes, the works, while screaming "LEEROY JENKINS" in local....in a pod :) (they almost let me through too). And of course, my first pirate kill, a person mining in a Caracal, took them out with my trusty Rifter.
It hasn't even been a year and I already have these memories, and more. Looking forward to many more memorable experiences, like the new graphics engine, and walking in stations. The day we get walking in stations, I think is the day that we're going to have 30k+ people on the server at once, all docked

My memorable moment ??
Opening my PC Gamer magazine and reading an article, well more of a story, of stealth, deception and grand planning. A story that I barely believed to be true as it sounded like a plot from a SCI-FI film.
The story was Guding Hand Social Clubs attack/infiltration of Ubiqua Seraph.
It was a story so amazing it made me go and find this game - this amazing game - So thankyou CCP for giving us the tools to make such amazing stories - and thankyou GHSC and Istvaan Shogatsuu for showing us how to weave such unbelievable stories.
Lub you CCP !!!!!

I've done a lot of things in EVE, but I have to sat my most memorable would be undocking for the first time and seeing all the other ships outside the station. Considering I didn't even know how to get back into the station at that point, I was just in awe of the environment I was floating in.

Oh man the memories of those kessies suiciding ships at gates...lol
My best memory...I think I have 2 really. First off the way people came together for that player that died (was it black lotus clan or something ?) - shows that the people that play this game have a bit of integrity despite all the ganking that goes on in working hours... And every time I come back from Iraq I log into the game and think 'aww hell, why do they always make all the big changes and offer me T2 bpo's on the lottery when I go away?' - a bit of an irony thing going on there but it's not lost on me at times.
Lets have some more years of the fun and keep the 'smackdown' (couldn't resist sorry)
P.S. Imagine if they had citadel torps when you could fit any missile into any launcher ! Kessies suiciding battleships and freighters

My most memorable moment was CA and FOE, biggest pirate alliances when there was only 5k ppl online at peak time, did what we want, where we wanted, when we wanted.
Other than that, i have to say the fleet fight outside Obe station where FOE was outnumbered and still won....miss the days when 90% of the alliance participated in ops every day.

My favorite moment would have to be the time that I was flying with two of my corpmates in Assault Frigs in 0.0, looking for some trouble. We took five minutes to camp a gateway system when suddenly 20 people jumped through. We warped out to another gate and jumped away, knowing the 20 had followed us to the gate. Apparently they were mostly concerned with shooing us away, as they didn't follow through the gate.
Tired and frustrated at having roamed for a couple hours with no action, I asked my corpmates what they wanted to do. One of them said "Well, I could jump in there and see how many corpses I could get..." After we all laughed, I said "Fine, get me 20 corpses." Next thing I know I see the gate fire and he says "Okay." Totally shocked, the two of us that were left had no choice but to go back him up.
In the end, we took down three interceptors, two cruisers and a destroyer, for the loss of only one of our assault frigs. We have laughed about that ever since.
