Happy birthday EVE!
The thing I remember best is when I bought a ômodulated strip miner IIö without looking in what station it was. The station was in 0,1 area, and the laser cost me 25 mil. First I wanted to ignore the cost, mine some more and buy a new one, but I took my Executioner with AB, and jumped all the way to the station, got my MSM II and got back (11 jumps under 0,5). Several times people and pirates got a lock on me (probably too small to be of interest). That was really something, and I was so relieved when I got back to 0,5 space.
My best regards to all the EVE-players that makes this game so dynamic!

My most memorable event was the last day of beta testing. Booking an entire day off work just to wait for the cluster too be several hours late starting up, and loosing an entire night of sleep. But then going in game and Buying a Scorpion and sitting outside the station in ôHigh sec" powning ravens as they undocked and after my 5th raven, finally getting myself powned by Concord. (Hey this must have been the Precursor for m0o.) :P Thing is, in all that time since I've never owned a Scorpion, or even a Rattlesnake, must have something too do with the fact I'm a tad bit of a care-bear and donÆt PvP.

OMG, 4 years!?! What have I been doing all this time!?
But Happy Birthday to the best MMO out there, this celebration is made possible because of the quality of CCP and the quality of the fans.
As for my most memorable moment:
The first time I went to warp and shot past the sun I thought was just part of the background image. After I had realized what just happened I opened up the map and said to myself "My god this thing is #$%#ing huge!" The galaxy lay before me and I jumped in and never looked back.

Holy Hell...where do I begin...
- Joining Hadean Drive Yards in Beta stage 5, after being "interviewed" by Overkill for 93 minutes in IRC chat...it took weeks before all of the bloodstains were finally gone from the "interview room".
- My first Griffon...which I promptly lost to NPC gate rats while flying back to the Udianoor system, and being podded by the same NPC's at the gate.
- Scouting out a new home for HDY after the Great Pirate Uprising of '03, and then being part of the CAP force covering our exodus from Aridia into the Oerse system in Solitude.
- Remembering Wrangler when he was a cadet...I think I still have your toothbrush ;)
- Flying Combat Air Patrol with Cowboy, Chaos, Laird, and a host of others for 22 straight hours as HDY strip mined and cleared Oerse 9-1 in nothing more than Punishers, Merlins, and Bestowers.
- Defending our mining operations in Vezila against daily visits from Lord Zap, TWD, Stavr0s, and the entire crew from Mo0, Burn Eden, S******dly, and most of the best known and most imfamous pirate corps in EVE at the time.
- Running the Mara Blockade in my Moa. Before the MWD nerf... ;)
- My first Apoc...and losing it to Lord Zap as he rolled that Blasterthron of his and got up close and personal. I even think I saw him salute me as my ship disappeared in a blinding flash of argent light...and then letting me warp back to the station instead of podding me. Overkill still read me the riot act for losing my ship, even though I'd allowed the rest of my corpmates to get clear. And you thought I forgot about that, Didn't you, OK :P
- Killing an Apoc while in one of FIX's Frig fleets while in a Punisher during our brief stint in the FIX Alliance. Then losing said Punisher a few systems later, and enduring the 50+ jumps back into "safe" FIX space and our HQ...4 hours never seemed so long.
There are hundreds more memories over the last 4 years I could expound upon (but won't), but the game wouldn't be what it is without the community that plays it. Thank you CCP for creating this great place that we can all call home, and thank you, everyone, for making the last 4 years so memorable...

Wow, 4 years and I've been playing for close to 3 of them .
Hmmm, my most memorable moment would be when I was still a noob and we joined our first alliance (RIP FSA). Roaming through our space one day we saw in local Lord Zap of mOo fame. Being noobs we were scared senseless and just kept shouting out "holy **** it's Zap, OMG run!!" - he just uncloaked after jumping through the gate, locked and popped one of us (ahem, we were three) then ran away. Looking back now, I see that we could have easily taken him out, but I honestly consider it just a good story about how I was once almost ganked by one of Eve's legends.

My favorite memory? Laughing to the point of tears with corpmates after 'bumping' them like billiard balls when 'Warping to Gangmate'..... and listening to them scream on TS as they fly away at near-AU/sec speeds....
While the bumping effect has been changed over time, I'm lucky enough to still have that first close group of corpmates/friends still around after 3+ years. We've lost a few along the way, and some have taken extended absences from game, but somehow this game has always lured us back together.
Thank you, CCP. Happy Birthday.
PS: Sorry to have kept your Ship Reimbursement department working overtime all these years, they deserve an extra piece of birthday lutefisk for going above and beyond the call of duty. =)

The day I could not sleep due to the loss of a ship with Skillboks.
I lost a Frig in a 1.0 scurity System loaded with more than two dozen Skillbooks for my Corp (3x Freighter, 1 Tycoon, 2x Carrier just to name three of them) Problem was not the heavy loss but that this event robbed my sleep for the rest of the Night. That was the moment when I realized that I'm an EVE-Junkie. Tried to stop playing afterwards but is was too late. Have a nice day |

Id have to choose from attacking 2 dreads solo in a wolf (when i could barely fly one) that where besieging a pos and making it out alive. Or more recently dodging a titan's DD to come back a few minutes later unleashing all my autocannons on it in a hurricane. (awesome ship btw, cant wait for the t2 version)
Tnx for all the fun CCP. Keep up the good work me hearties.

Gratz to all.
Most memorable moment: FC'ing a defense op in RIT-A7 during ASCN/BoB war. BoB coming in with about 30 hacs/cbc's/inty's, us outnumbering them but not outgunning. Then kicking their ass back to their clone station and only suffering minor losses.
too bad they came back and kicked us out eventually. but that day was awesome.

My most memorable moment has got to be the day I got an Expanded Cargohold II BPO. I've been fabulously wealthy ever since.
That, and the first time I got to say in the game "I just love it when a plan comes together" after I formed "THE A TEAM".

Here are some of my best moments !
50 minutes of constant adrenalin output when i was sitting long time ago in my carrier in FIO.
After i see my self moving from the station cos of there bumping ( was thinking to this moment it was not possible anymore)... and getting killed. I had drink a lot of coffee s after this.
The frist Navy megathron i got. I had run missions like a noise to get the 500 k lpoint s in high sec. After some days i got the offer then and looked for the tags. One was not seeded and i petit it. It goes pretty fast that i get it then and i got the bpc to build it.
I was proud like hell.
i had waste a cormack fitted megathron one day in a infiltrated outpost mission after bumping in the second room the structure. i had accept it ( 5 bn isk loose) Month later i hear it was petitonable this days and u had get it back .... "**** happens"
One time i was pretty tired and jump into a mission.. I directly sleep into my pc chair.. after i wake up i see my self in a pod ^^ One of my first dreads goes boom include a pretty expensive fitting but accept it ... **** happens i earned a lot of lols.
3.5 years of a lot of fun/adrenalin an funny situations. narly 3 years in contact with an old corp mate doing things together.
let the next years come

Well, I have barely played for a little over a year, but I would say taking my very first Omen into ami (still on trial I think), I warp to a belt, kill two rats, my blood is pumping at this point since I know I'm in an 0.4 system.
Well shortly after the rats are done with and I move in to loot the cans a pilgrim locks me down scrambles, web, and nos, the full works..
I barely get the time to ask my self these two questions,
What happened to my cap ?
Why cant I warp?
about 30 seconds later I wake up in emrayur, wondering what happened, and where that ship came from.
that was my very first podding, safe to say there has been many more since one of wich was where I lost my first pilgrim
I would also say that flying under a good FC is definetely one of my favourite things in eve, oh well onwards for t2 guns for me.

My most memorable moment in Eve was just under 4 years ago.
I just got a fancy ship named Vexor, and was happily npc¦ing in 0.0 somewhere with my newly aquired rail guns. Yes you could npc in t1 cruisers in 0.0 then
Well, I just had killed the spawn, was going for loot, then another player warped to the belt, on the other side of it. Me being a complete n00b didn¦t even ponder the possiblity of a hostile action on his part. Short to say he webbed me, scrammed me and killed me in a proffessional manner. His name was Nightfang ( just can¦t seem to clear my head of that name ). Think he doesn¦t play anymore, allthough I¦ve wished for a rematch since :)
I was so shook up I had to log and walk from the computer, it felt like after a school fight...........
Been hooked ever since.

Edited by: Zilkin on 09/05/2007 08:25:50 My most memorable moment probably was the first time I engaged in PvP. It wasn¦t even "real" PvP but rather an event EVE-University¦s instructor SilentBrick had organized but damn was that exciting for me, trying destroy the frigates my fellow students were flying with my own. That event made me realise what EVE was all about
After that my first solo kill, my first solo bs kill, etc. Still having tons of fun. Thank you CCP |

My most memorable moment was my Eos getting tackled by 2 standard cruisers and killing one of those in 21 shots ^^ i got horrifically ganked after this and had 13 ships hitting me for 5 minutes i died that night but it was great fun other than losing about 600 million isk worth of ship equipment and brain.
lol moral of the story is get some better gang members i was fighting all by myself in the end was a 4 man gang originally

the day i beat my corp leader in a frigate PvP, as a 4 month old noob versus his 8mil skill points alt. sure, it was just frigs. sure, it was a mission corp, no real PvP experience. sure, i ECM'd him into a stupor from the first second on. but still... my heart was doing 2000 beats a minute by the end... and i put that acheivement as my title for the NEXT 4 months. |

My memorable event.
I started out as a mining character in ORFOR. I was getting my mining skills up to mine most efficiently in a megatron (7 tech2 mining lasers). And I thought 7 days training for astrogeology upgrade lvl5 was a looong time.
At a certain point in time all ORFOR members were mining in battleships. We had BM's covering all the mining fields in Sakki system.
I think it was in the Castor upgrade that bouncing other ships was made more effective. The bouncing impact for our mining ops was disasterous.
About 8 of us were all hugging at a BM with our battleships and mining veldspar roids into a jetcan. Suddenly the hauler comes in come at the exact BM to empty the jetcan. All the battleships were bounced by the hauler 50km into different directions!
I remember somebody mentioning "we should rename our mining ops to a bowling evening."

EVE elicts a lot of pleasent memories from me, more specifically the day that I made my first low sec PK, it gave me a unparalleled adrenelene (SP?) rush and a bit of a nervous shake when I first keyed on my missile launchers on the poor sap... Anyways, good memories and long live EVE!

May 6th 2003 was my 40th birthday! I learned a bit about your composer recently and he is also born on that day! What a coincidence! I love everything about EVE, the music, the mood, the vastness , replayability, new ships, items coming out regularly. Please take the time to make a book on EVE. A massive 200- page player guide with color pictures, strategies for each races, etc. I'd love to read more about EVE when I ride the bus into town. This year, I turned 44 on May 6th and it was my Gala Concert 2007 edition with kids playing from all ages. I came home at night to find out EVE was four years old ! Wow! This was a great present indeed! Thanks CCP,all the staff, everybody, you're amazing. This is the best online game . Period.

Best moment, frantically hitting jump button at a gate and realising i got through with 3% structure left on my first (un insured) raven on the way to meet up with friends to run some missions, my heart was pounding out of my chest. or getting nailed by 2 goons who actually bothered to scan me down in a miner infested system while i made a coffe, then coming back to find myself locked down, i sat and had a convo in local with them about how good my set up was and how i could tank them for nearly 10 mins. such charming fellows. Happy Birthday EVE

My best memory is when i was 2 weeks old. i joined The Order Of Chivalry. (and ive been with the same bunch of guys ever since) they were based in 0.0, as i was new, and i knew the risks having read every piece of info i could on the issue i was sceptical. however they told me i'd be fine.
I went into lowsec in my biggest ship (an osprey at the time) jumped into the first 0.0 and... ...nothing... completely empty. so i am like 'cool lol this aint so bad' shortly after trying to rat hunt with 2 missile launchers and a mining laser fitted i decided to jump through to the next system. oh poo. big camp. heres me in my osprey absolutely ****ing myself. too slow to evade thier locking before warping and not big enough to withstand attack.
I had an idea... smacktalk 4tw! i put in local 'NO I WILL NOT MARRY YOU!' at which point i uncloaked and warped. they were too busy typeing responses to the effect of 'wtf' in the chat. and no... it dosent work no more. i tried it and got popped on the way into the new drone regions a few weeks back.
Gratz on 4 years.
