Happy Birthday EVE!
Having only played for about 4 moths now, i would have the say the most memorable event is my first escalation from an exploration complex. It sent me a few jumps out in 0.0, and that was the first time i went out there. I got podded in a gate-camp on my way back, but it was a realy exiting trip anyway. And at the end of the escalation i found a Corpii A-type repper, and because of that my wallet also passed 100m for the first time.

First of all, happy B'day EVE
To post my most memorable event in the world of EVE is not that simple, but i reduced it back to 3 of them
Back in the BETA, when we were able to man (T1-)Battleships, that was a great moment and i was "ecstatic"
Mining ARK in empire ('t'was like that in the beginning) was outstanding Btw. i still have some of it in a container
My first kill in a PvP-battle (after got killed some times)
greets to all of you

The most memorable event was the RL death of a Character capsuleer pilot, known as Kirian Skellig. It was the early days of EvE and wars were personal and not alliance based (although Stain and Fountain etc were controlled by alliances named after the region in those times). Kirian had touched the hearts and minds of many and it was decided that a meorial event would take place in which a 21 gun salute was conducted. I had the honour of self destructing one of the 21 kestrels used for this salute. Many pilots were hostile or at war but for that night there was peace in the home system of a departed friend.
CCP have brought the buzz of combat, the tears of laughter and the companionship of corpmates. It has been a bitter sweet experience at times but we must accept that breaking new frontiers has its pitfalls. Congratulations CCP for you continued effort to lead us into the next gaming experience.

My most memorable moment of EVE was my first time low sec. Entered a dead space and got jumped upon by a HAC and an inty. BOOM, one dead thorax. took me a good week of solid play to buy that. Sad moment. But i've been hunting them ever since because, tbh, who shoots at a week old noob?
Brill game CCP, loved all 8 months that i've played.

The most fun i've had was when i trained for 10 months before i bought my first battleship by running lv3 missions, ca vs sa in u-qv in my 2x mwd raven. I was 200km from the enemy and burned down towards them to stack my missiles into one fatal blow, but before i know it im the closest one to the sa fleet, everyone locks me and opens up, rather than loose inertia and get within weapons tracking i burned straight through them another 150km and sling shotted right through the bulk of their fleet, out the other side and into the relative safety of my 70% structure, medium armour rep with my heart beating through my chest as it came to light if i lost this ship there wa sno way in hell i could afford to replace it. So with half armour and 20% shields as sa began to warp away in defeat, i burned back through and did the same again helping to pop several ships during my sling and hearing thol and duke commenting over ts, holy **** look at dj's raven, on its first outing.
Mproudets moment being in FATAL Alliance, consisting of merley fatal corp and a few friends, defending ym- vs 4+ alliances, for 3 weeks, having chows titian and mc as star guests and basicially forcing 4 alliances to buy our outpost from us rather than continue to loose so many ships. Happy Birthday to EVE
I've been here off and on, but I always seem to come back. Great game, can't wait to see how White Wolf helps to develop in-station characters and gameplay. For my event, let's get into character.
Ahem.... Arrrr matey. I were just a lowborn noob raidin' a lvl 2 dedspace depot. Was Poppin Gurista frigates an' takin their plunder left an right an me Thrasher-class destroyer was spoutin artillery fire like New Years fireworks. I were chatting in Teamspeak with corp mates as I jumped inta tha next area of the zone and there, not even 5 kilometers away were a pirate Osprey-class Cruiser! Hehe now ye might not think that such a big deal, but in them days I hadn't flown anythin bigger'n destroyer and it were the first enemy cruiser I ever did see and before I know it she were firing at me! So we were going round an' round, weapons fire blazin' and me corp mates shoutin' encouragement in me ears and finally that Osprey flares up in what were tha biggest explosion I had seen in space till then. I'm wearin a cat-ate-the-canary grin, me corp mates are cheerin in me ears and I grabbed me first ever Looted Worm Blueprint that day too. Don't seem like so much now, but back then that were a moment indeed! Arrr...
Hehe Happy Birthday EVE!

My most memorable moment.. The second attempt to get a Dominix to the S-I6VU region. This time I put a cloak on it. I had to get that ship out there or I was done. I had no money left and needed to do some high dollar ratting. I got within 10 jumps of my destination when I saw a faction BS and an elite Frigate camping gates together. They spotted me, I jumped and they prombtly followed. I cloaked and they started circling the gate trying to bump me. After about 5 minutes they gave up and I got my ship home. Scares me to death just typing that! |

Edited by: Sabahl on 05/05/2007 17:36:53 Most memorable event for me was about two hours after the servers first came up.
I decided that roid hitting, even at that stage, was boring as hell and decided to go and attempt to take down some roid rats. Very few had tangled with them up until that point in live and the whole of the Pator Tech channel were cheering me on as I engaged in my trusty Probe (250k ISKs worth of ship - a fortune for then at NPC prices, and that's all there were because nobody could hope to afford a BPO yet).
As the last frigate popped I flew towards the can and had a peep inside to see what had dropped. And within there lay a spanky new Partial Hull Conversion Expanded Cargo Hold, the best available in the game. Seeing as the best way to make ISK at that point was NPC to NPC trading, I was a rather happy camper indeed.
Everything else has been down hill [;)]

Edited by: Drash Kammatarr on 05/05/2007 17:39:16 The most memorable thing was in the war of V against Ra and Goons. It was in the siege of 1V- and Ra/Goon locked down the system. We were 1 jump out and waited for a possibility to enter 1V-, when suddenly our FC (someone from LV) told us on TS: "Gentleman, we have just sucessfully launched a doomsday device on the hostile fleet". About 10 minutes later, the first killmails arrived. If I remember correctly, it is still the most succesful launch of a doomsday device, resulting in more than 200 kills. That was amazing....happy birthday EVE :)

Edited by: RaWBLooD on 05/05/2007 17:38:20 There is something mystifying about warping when you first come to the game...
I love the community and my favorite moments would include: -Meeting a nice person on my first week on trial and playing with them till it expired -Trading npc goods to low sec and finding it and the surrounding 0.0 utterly deserted so taking a trip in 0.0(not near downtime) -Learning about blueprints -Fitting out my first tormentor for trade -Fitting out my first inquisitor for trade -Fitting out my first coercer for defense against rats in mid sec while mining -Losing my inquisitor right after a succesful trade in low sec -Researching the ships i can fly on trial and realizing that I will actually pay for an mmorpg monthly...
Months later
-Getting my first bestower -Fitting out my coercer with as many guns as i can and doing my first mission -Buying my first BPOs -Knowing the difference between a Carebear and a Hardcore Industrial Man
Recently
-Finally realizing that I should go train up viable pvp skills and enjoy the other 60% of eve
miners-you can: switch, rob, wardec, nerf, scam them, buy below market, pirate them on their way to sell. mining < trading, ratting, manufacturing from market bought minerals, they still wont go away |

I remember only playing for about 3 hours and heading to a place my rl friend was flying 40 jumps with out warp to 0. I got to 5 jumps away from the solar system where my friend was and hit a 45 man gate camp. When i loaded the system i was where i started, so i did what everybody would do and tried about 5 more times. i was so mad but it was so much fun and looked so good that I haven't stopped playing.

My favorite EVE fiction content was the scientists who were buying corpses to experiment on mind control. Where did they go?
My favorite gameplay content added would MOST DEFINATELY be salvaging (and, subsequenlty rigs). The option of 'customizing' the capabilities of each ship was a humongous leap forward in making this a 'truer' MMORPG.
My most poignant moment on EVE was last month when I found out about the RL passing away for Comander Bobby. He was my first player corp CEO and a good friend. My condolences to BobbysGirl in her time of loss.
I've only been on EVE for 1/4 of the time EVE has been online, I look back on my time here and recount to my newer players how things have changed. I can only imagine how those pilots that started Beta testing feel about all that has taken place.

My Most Memorable Event has to be when a corp mate ( Treag ) decided to show me what a large Proton Smartbomb Does outside a Station in Stacmon ( Empire ) Then I also got to watch how quick NCP would rip a ship ( Treag's ) apart I laughed for weeks after that

Hard to keep to one event--a good sign Eve rocks!
1) Defending our POS in Aeschee with wolfpack (frigate blob) tactics and taking out a couple battleships.
2) My character losing her way, getting a bit suicidal, and finding a solo miner in a belt to self-destruct and pod herself (no clone) in front of. The guy was like, "Wow, that was awesome!"

The most memorable, hmm, too many. But what always struck me was that when I began playing EvE and it would take like forever to get somewhere i would think "why am I doing this?" Three and a half years later I have to get a daily fix or I don't feel right, and yes, I do have a life in the RW Congrads CCP and to all you other pilots that have made this a great experience

My most memorable moment was a couple weeks after joining cls. Now over 2 years ago, when i was just a little noob, barely a month into the game. Force Of Evil ( FOE) declared war on Xetic after they discovered that XF had hired the mercenary coalition against them. Within the day of the war becoming active a large fleet was gathered in empire to attack Obe and push further into trying to get to one of the conquerable stations. I installed teamspeak and bought a headset just for that op. And i will never forget the feeling of warping into a huge cloud of purple when gathering. Or the moment when the MC joined Ts and hearing the Seleene and their fleet warping in. It was my first trip so far into 0.0 Ofcourse i didn't survive the first 5 minutes of the fleet battle. But it was an amazing moment for me to be a part of that.

My character 4 is years old on the 10th May - how time has flown by...
Memorable moments - being hunted by the Jokers, paying a 'safety' fee to stay alive and not lose my ratting Scorp ( lol ) and them honouring the deal (these guys were/are pretty cool to be honest).
Oh and trying to take on 3 BS pirates in a 3 cruiser team and having my arse handed to me :)

Memorable moments:
A) Joining my first "Ghost Fleet" with Curse Alliance(original) in a Punisher and my first kill-assist being a Tempest.
B) After getting my shiny new Absolution... Two guys (both in Rifters) attacking my ship and getting PWN'd
C) Being in a Cormorant in a fleet battle in 7Q-8Z2 vs. NBSI Alliance. And having such a bad LAG that the Jaguar I was firing on actually activated his Small Remote Armor Repairer I on ME on accident, then BOTH of us popping at the same time.
D) Fitting my first Cruise Missile Kestrel.

I like PVP and think I am ok at it. Put me in a dominix tho and I think im a god, which is not the case as is proven by the fact I lose more domis than I do combat drones.
My best memory of eve is the one time I WAS invincible in my domi, taking on an 8 man gate camp consiting of multiple battlecruisers, killing them all and flying away with their loot. Nothing beats the feeling of knowing you just ruined 8 peoples gate camp :)

Ive acctually been playing since may 2003, I would say my most memorable moment in eve was simply buying the game, installing and playing it.
When I was a kid I used to play David Brabens Elite on my Amiga 600+, and I completly loved the game, I would sit for hours playing the game improving my rank, and trading stuff. I just loved the concept of the game. and used to think to myself that It would be great if other real players could play in one big online universe.
About 10 years later I heard about EVE and it just brought back so many memories of Elite, I was just so eagar to install and play, the shop that sold it to me gave me a copy where the code had already been used, so I had to rush back to the shop and get another copy.
I then brought lots of beer and spent the entire day and night playing.
Well done CCP, u guys are wonderful, and I take my hat off to you.
Thanks for making one of my childhood dreams come true

the most memorable event for me was in my origional incarnation, when i joined my first, and at the time one of the most feared pirate corps. the very first time you lock someone with intent to fire and kill for no other reason than because you can,. sweaty palms , even shaking with adrenalin. then a war with a whole alliance, i think that feeling is hard to get back once its been tasted for the first time.
