Most memorable event? Damn! I only get to pick one?
It must be the first time I undocked. The vastness of the EVE universe struck me hard and left me wtfbbqpwnd and whimpering in a corner of Rens for some time. This was before I realised that the autopilot settings had to be changed not to avoid all systems where pod killing had taken place... Things became a little smaller after that, but not by much. I'm still baffeled by the sheer size of the thing.
CCP must never give up on EVE. It's a 1337 piece of awesomeness. :D Keep it going!!

One of the most funny/memorable moments I have experienced.
I was mining in low sec in my Dominix, when a pirate in a Claw attacked me. Little did he know I had a Disruptor/Webber combo installed. Not to mention the horror he must have had when he saw me scoop my mining drones and deploy FIFTEEN Drones to BBQ him in short order! I only had 5 mining drones out on purpose.
He returned about 20 minutes later in his Tempest, only to fall victim to my Ogre's. That's when I realized that Drones were not to be underestimated, and were a very valuable tool! __________

Yeah, that's it SJ, nail on the head. All I am interested in is fufilling my selfish desire for stuff. Yeah, you got me.
Or, maybe it is that I think that something in-game would have more of a widespread impact than a thread on a forum populated by the likes of you and me?
You know, there are a lot of players out there who don't use the forums. Should they all be left out?
Anyway, I'm staying out of this thread from now on. I don't mind Pann having a dig at me, but your bitterness really may drag me down.
I'm modifying my original answer. My best moment in Eve was the complete and utter destruction of ASCN.

It would definitely be my first pvp kill. Aside from that, it would be the joining a player corp for the first time. Excellent!
Happy four!

Several generous servings of my own ass later, i was dead. Havn't left 0.0 since, LOVE IT.
Also the first time i hit Ctrl+Tab in game, Eve is a Beutiful game, i marveld at it for hours, and still feel all giddy when i put my ship in front of two suns!
Oh and finding ED it is fantastic, run and occupied by an awsome bunch of fella's. Its a pleasure every time i log on. feel the love! .......................................... We come in Peace, FIRE AT WILL---Blog |

This thread is for celebrating EVE, not arguing about petty things, so stay on on topic or else..
I have some memorable moments, like just after gate pirates (NPCs) were added to low sec gates and I happened to be in low sec in an Imicus of all things. I had to survive the pirates at every gate, jump and then repair before doing it all over until I managed to get to high sec space.
It was always fun to do big convoys with my corp through camped gates, we jumped into a system with maybe 3-5 others in local, it took them seconds to jump out of our way.
It was less fun when I managed to travel low sec on autopilot and went for a bio break, came back to a pod of course, but the pirate was nice and told me she wouldn't pod me.

Congratualtions on 4 years
Although I've seen some awesome stuff happen, nothing will ever compare to logging into Eve every day to lead a corporation of suck kick ass guys and gals.
Most memorable event for me would be founding Veto as a small RP corp, and never realising just how far the corp would come and how many kick ass people we'd end up recruiting.
Nothing compares.

My most memorable moment is still getting attacked and podded by some M0o guy back in 2003 when I tried Eve for the first time. We were both in thoraxes, but he knew how to equip it - I didnt.

Happy Birthday 4th EVE, and grats to CCP for its triumphant success :D Memorable moments.. wow so many, but one that stands out for me was the 1st year event where the jovian ambassador got blown apart :) and everyone was scrabbling like crazy to find his body bits.. Memorable for me because it bagged me my 1st Tempest for my collection efforts, which is still going strong today.. and opened the door to cloaking tech. on top of that i found a full set of jovian bits lying around in an old can in a dark corner of my hanger under a stack of pax amarria :)
So Looking forward the next 4 years :) Mol ______________

I came imto this world as television was still in it infancy, computers were the size of mack trucks, and to the general public, scifiand games were read about and played on boards. In 55 years of life, i have seen buck rodgers, when the earth stood still, and countless other movies and programs trying to depict life in space.I was still forced to read it to imagine it. The most memorable moment in eve for me....when it finsihed downloading i gained access and went FINALLY!!! Yes i ***** and moan even at my age,but you have to have seen and lived the progression in life to appreciate what eve really is. happy anniversery.

Edited by: Arthalion Thoidon on 05/05/2007 12:48:59 Let's see, I remember: - Flying a condor into Aunenen when I had only been playing for about 3 weeks. My pod didn't survive the 2 rifters in the second belt, I don't think i eveer entered that system since( and that was october 2004). - flying through Jita and thinking 130 - 140 people online in one system was a lot. That was when Yulai was TEH trade hub and I didn't start visiting Yulai untill after it had been destroyed - escaping a fight with the MC during the IAC-ISS war with only 23%( or so ) hull left. The adrelin rush probably shortened my life by about 3 years

Happy Birthday eve. :)
I still have my original box, and reciept from GAME where i bought it all them many moons ago... 24/06/2003
Wonder if the box with original manual is worth anything yet?? :)
Most Memorable Moments: AFKing to 0.0 cos "it cant be that dangerous" My first loss was to The Reverand from m0o :)
First kill, cant remember what it was, but i remember i was in a stabber in a low sec belt.
NPCing for my stabber fitting, someone warping in to "drop the module off i needed" little did i know they thought i needed ammo... easy mistake i guess. Nieve times indeed
My first ever solo kill in a BS, killed a megathron, which wasnt that long ago, trained up Typhoon just for this task. The Typhoon is now in a museum for later generations. :)
Soo many, too many to list. :)
/me raises glass here is to another 4 years. :) Gratz CCP, u may have made some shocking decisions in the 4 years, but u still rock in my books...

For me..... When i first joined Darkside inc. Although dispanded now all the members(the small few) still talk daily and help each other out, so apart from the wars/ops/fun we had i suppose its the friends iv made here. Its the only game where the people you play with actually become part of your small family and its a great feeling.
Happy Birthday EVE

Let me make this clear I HATE MMORPGs. Except for this one. I watched my room mate play for a couple days and I thought 'psh, that looks dumb' But I was bored so I went ahead and got the trial anyway and I've been playing ever since. I didn't even fully finish the trial before I started paying for the game. I remember when I had just gotten my new Vexor and I was flying around a high sec system killing the frig rats with my medium drones I was so proud of just learning how to use. Well there I was ratting and looting the cans as I went when I came across a belt with a couple of full wrecks. Well I went ahead and grabbed that loot cuz dang I was making bank at 12,000 per frig plus loot. All of a sudden a player in the belt targeted me. I was like wtf? He's attacking me?
So when he started shooting I launched my drones and shot back. My drones killed his and I was destroying his tank when he warped away... I chased.
He docked and so did I to repair my damage and slightly refit. When I came back out there he was undocking too. I locked him and started firing again this time ignoring his drones. Words can not express how much I wanted to see his ship explode and how as soon as I learned about a skill that let me warp scramble him I picked up that skill and started learning vowing never to let one get away like that again. Too bad the timer is only 15 minutes or I'd still be chasing him through the systems.
Now as still a nubler only 3 months old I feel like there is no end to the enjoyment and learning I can get out of this game. I have met ppl from Germany, Switzerland, Iceland, The states, Austria, Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Europe and everywhere in between. I have connected with ppl that I will never meet in rl but can now say I know. The best part is I'm joining a pvp corp in 0.0 where the minimum sp requirement to join is 20 million but I made friends early on and now get to be a part of this elite corp. I can't wait to start killing people with friends rather than soloing it and having to sit in empire mining or doing missions to make isk for a new ship. \o/

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Wow 4 years and ive only been here for 3 and a 1/4
I have to say so of my most memorable times in eve are the things that inspired Devs to change things .For one I first got ganked Moa to Moa when i was a nOOb only my Moa didnt shoot cruise missles yet Ofc my first Scorp had a full set of heavy launchers with torps lol.But 2 times i always remember....1 the massive fleet battle on the test server right after the Exodus patch where most of us saw GM's in Dreads in action for the first time (shooting the famous nerf bat)2nd Was the death of Rampage.A good ingame friend and the ingame funeral we had for him in DSS-EZ....Yes lots of things have went on in the world of eve after 4 short years.. Wow, 4 years - that's so cool!
Hmm, memories eh ?
Well - I've still got the Scars and err *cough*stains*cough* from my ISD induction and Hazing. I'll never look at fedo's in the same light!
Hehe - actually I think managing to get to see the Solteur a couple of years ago in the Event ranks pretty high up there
Also, helping CCP test the new cluster in that massive event on Sisi was an amazing time too, I also helped out when the Dreadnought class was just released, IIRC there were 10 of us volunteers flying the dreadnoughts and I think about 2000 players came onto sisi to kill us!
I was in a Naglfar (vertical ships 4tw) and it took a good 20 battleships to take me down, and that was only after I'd ran out of fuel for siege mode!
I think they've been balanced a bit since then though
Well, it's all good memories from the Time I first got Podded to every time I get to help someone in a mission .... Here's to the next 4 years!

I guess it's the day when I came back from my first break. I had all my stuff and ships in some mordus station up in Pure Blind. I used to mine there and fly the minerals back to empire. And yeah, I was still in NPC corp (PTS ftw).
It was kind of alliance free space before my break but when I came back it was warzone. Ofc I didn't know that, but tried to continue my mining there. After a while it came obivious that it's not doable anymore up there, and some group even camped the station where I was in.
Boldly I decided to ask in local if they would let me go. One of their guys said after few questions that they won't shoot me, so I packed my things into Hoarder and start flying back to empire.
Ofc there was this one chokepoint system which I had to run thru. After warping 15km to the gate, someone in a vigil started to scramble and very slowly shoot me. I had a talk with him in local but he was determined to kill NPC corp guys. Luckily I had some shield booster on my industrial and he had bad guns, so I made it to the gate. Atleast I thought that it was lucky at that point. I guess I don't even need to say what happened after I jumped into a major gate camp on the other side. Lost everything at that day, I had just invested most of my money on BP's etc just before my break so I didn't even have any ISK left.
THat day was what drove me to join up on non-NPC corp, as it came obivious that NPC corp people are considered as spies where ever they go.
