Maybe it was the first time I hit someone with 7 heavy missles for a total of .7 damage.
Or the time I was in empire space and had to watch my back due to someone declairing war on every corp in game.
Could have been when I had first started and was playing in a corp with 3 other new guys and got deced by a 20 mill sp guy saying I had to pay him some billion isk to stop the war.
Oh the time I sent light drones after a BC and he outran them, that was fun.
Err wait no thats why I quit the game. |

I am pretty young player, but I have some things I will remember forever. Wining my first solo fight, going on the first fleet op, first POS kill, first carrier kill. More than half of my time in Eve I spent in 0.0 space and I love it. I hope that Eve will evolue more and more, as It was during that past 4 years.

Most memorable moment:
Hearing about the Serpentis Titan in a RP channel, coordinating two alliances into a gang to go after it.
Setting up a warp in point with a Raptor behind the Serpentis Vindicator fleet, to get smoked by a 425 II.
As far as I know, I took the first 425 II in the face on Tranquility.
Spent the next 10 hours in 13 different ships attacking the titan and fighting off everybody else that was trying to save it.
oh, and attacking it in an Ibis after I ran out of isk.
Hands down, best time I have ever had in Eve, or any video game for that matter.

I think one of the most memorable moment I had was when I first warped to 0 meters. Oh my God, that was so great ! At that time, I was a hauler and it was a pain to go through 50 systems warping at 12 km !
Happy birthday to all of you ! |

Wooow, 4 years of Eve being here and I've been here in Eve for little over half of that! Where does the time go?! I keep this up and I'll have to get the character portrait changed to have grey hair!!!!
I have so many different awesome memories of Eve it isn't even funny. The first time I saw it in a friend's room I was like "Is this a single player game?" He told me "No" of course but I couldn't believe it until I looked it up! I installed the trial that night and I've been playing ever since! Getting my first cruiser, making my first set of BPCs, mining my first VELDSPAR (hey Chribba, got any tips on Veld mining? ), killing my first NPC, getting podded for the first time (btw YOU ARE STILL ON MY TO BE PODDED LIST...breathe in, breathe out...wooooosaaaaah....woooooooooosaaaaaaaaah...be calm like the wind.... )
Getting accepted into ISD and helping the players is another one of my major bright spots! I know it sounds cheesy but it isn't! Brie or gouda sounds cheesy . Honestly though, being there in the help channels and answering questions is fun and it helps to get new players accustomed to Eve so we have more people to "pew pew" and mine with! Besides, some of the stuff you all ask and say is hilarious!
And the ISD family is awesome! Uncle Wrangler and Mama Kieron are the best alter-parents one could ask for!
Probably though, the TOP, TOP moments were FanFest 2006 and GDC 2007. The reasons? I got to meet the people who made this awesome game! TomB, Oveur, Kieron, Macayle, Wrangler, CoffeeCup, MajorGormour, and all the rest too numerous to mention! Seeing the passion they have for the game and how much they love the players was just...inspiring is the only word I have for it! And being at GDC 2007 was amazing as well and if you weren't there for the party at the Glas Kat....you were missing out!
I hope everyone else has just as much fun as we have here and I look forward to talking with every one of you, either online or at FanFest!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVE!!!!!!!!!! Its the FEARSOME FOURS!!! |

Edited by: Ivisis Avisus on 05/05/2007 23:28:33 Edited by: Ivisis Avisus on 05/05/2007 23:28:04 EVE the game I found recently but the game that I was tried to make back in 1993 when Frontier was released then I never found founds to release/finish it and it didn't came out of several screenshots and few 3D framed object and one GUI framework.
EVE made me remember those days and eagerness to play and enjoy wasts of space. I'm only sorry that I didn't came earlier.
Thank you CCP for fulfilling childhood dreams.

Happy Birthday Eve
Wow 4 years, I remember it in the beginning, it was lovely, it was gorgeous, it was.... beyond words... and like a fool I left to pursue other things.
Then I came back and it was still a beautifully balanced game... And this time I stayed... this time I learned how to play well.
Most memorable bad event... Coming out of 0.0 after buying a Covetor BPO and Retreiver BPO in a Buzzard and warping straight into a gate camp ... The pain ... the loss ...Oh well .
Good event... taking down an Estarte with the help of another player in a cruiser and me in a Manticore. Now that was a tough fight.
Thanks for the year of nearly non-stop playing... Oh by the way who do I send the bill to for losing my business

Oh well, if I had to pick one I woud say it was when me and a friend were jumping back up to Venal from empire in interceptors and we jumped into a huge fleet battle. We joined in and started popping support left right and center. Probably the most lag free enjoyable fleet battle I've ever been in. ----

4 years,
Getting my Omen crusier was quite someting I could not belive the size of that thing compare to my frigate.
Headding out into CA space with our corp and being escorted past U-Q.
Taking over target calling in a major CA/SA battle in OSHT, battle must have lasted a good 30-60 minutes.
Building the FATAL outpost in YM-, a lot of work for a bunch of pvpers and the battles that followed in the system, including my best "tackle" ever of Helen's MOM (Thanks god that smartbomb only hit me once).
but the best bits has been meeting up with corp members in R/L and have lots of fun
Happy birthday EVE

Most memorable moment: Ratting with a group of corpmates in 0.0 space, and then finding out we were well withing BoB territory. They had the system locked down very well, so we had to log out. The next day, one of my buddies came in a Condor to scout ahead, while I escaped in my Drake. We were chased by at least three separate groups of pirates, and managed to actually jump into systems exactly as they were jumping into the ones we were just in.
My heart was pounding the entire trip, something like 11 jumps. _____________________ Faithful Khaldari. |

I miss a few things about EVE of 3-4 years ago. EVE today is amazing. I would have never thought that we would be settled in 0.0.
1 - Jade and Ragnor on the forums in the fall/winter of 2003... Muppet and Asshat has not been used with the same eloquence since. 2 - This thread and the subsequent Archain video started my path down the darkside of making EVE comedy videos. Viceroy you are missed. 3 - Pirates, real deal, warp scram and ransom pirates. I miss corps like m0o and SPVD. 4 - The EVE Haiku Thread that was 19 pages before the "evil" community manager Pann locked it on us

I would have to say that almost every moment in EVE is a good one, There is usually always something different about what's going on.
Although if I must point out something I really like about EVE would have to be the in depth part of it, I have never played another game as complex, vast, and stimulating than EVE. I can't count all the things there is to do, and thats pretty hard to say about a video game, usually there is a point where everything turns simple but not here. All the stuff in the game needs to be appreciated, especially with the constant changing storyline.
But on a different note... when are the new ship skins coming out? NIIIIIIIIIIIICE!! |

Most memorable moment...
Back when I was an ubernoob years ago and the old Xetic and Curse alliances existed/were going kinda strong I decided to go exploring. Thinking I knew what awaited me I fit a Vigil with nanofibers and a 1mn MicroWarpDrive I... and a single 125mm gatling autocannon. Loaded the thing with ammo and wisely didnt put any spare ammo in my hold.
Left for Curse space and ended up getting pretty far in there. Got to this gate with some kind of secure can sign anchored 120km off saying something about entering a Curse capital system. Sped my way all the way to the can and started shooting it with my 125mm, when some random dude in a Raven passed by and saw me, opened fire so I ran.
So I'm running away, full adrenaline rush, wondering if they're chasing me. Figured they were since there was this one guy who kept appearing in local as I sped towards HED-GP (I think it was HED anyway). I get to that system and there's a crapton of locals, so I hesitate and sure enough, some CA dude in a tackler frig makes a run for me so I make a blind warp for highsec.
I enter the grid to see a HUGE Xetic gatecamp. I just about crap my pants when one of them convos me and starts telling me I can go through, they won't hurt me, etc... when a largish group of CA that apparently had been giving me chase came in right behind me. Before I knew it I was a noob in a frigate stuck in the middle of a fleet battle. So I did what any intelligent, mentally stable individual would commence doing: dodging smartbombing domis and area effect torpedo explosions to loot cans from exploding ships. Ended up making my first million from that. Good times :)

Well, Back in the Day when I started with eve, I remember Starting out as a miner, All Ore Types was in every system from 0.3 to 0.0, The Roids was as big as the stations you see now, Mining in a frigate was not fun then, this does not help Now, as it is alot easyer. too Start out.
When I started, we had all of 5K Skills and we worked hard too get the skills we needed then, Not like now, Its pretty much handed out too new starters now, It took ages too get your character trained, Which made you value the character more. Now everythink is so easy for new starters that they do not value it, like some of the older guys that put all the effort in. I remember It took me ages too miner and build my thorex, Thorex and vexor was the only gallente ships in crusiers that was about, no inceptors or Cov op and Carriers, we had about 15 ships across the board, Maybe less,
I remember everyone was excited too get in a battleship, Battleship was the Titan of the Day, lol. When you had one of them or got in too one, New Patch and items come out, Not a big deal anymore. like everythink, lets go for the next best thing.
As time when on and new patchs out, I think CCP Started too lose there way, over the years it got worst, Everythink was balanced and CCP Made sure they was working for the people that put them, where they are today. Now there doing it for the Money you pay.
I still love the Game, But there are so many Things over looked now, that the game is losing Touch of what really matter, A Game is better in Quality, refer then quantiy.
Eve lose it's touch, when it Valued the amount of ppl's it wanted in game, Refer then up holding what made the game in the first place. I still love the game, But I reakon it could be even better then it is now, The Game was addictive when I started playing, and it still is a bit now, But I am finding it's losing it's touch, with alot of high skilled and good friends made over the years, leaving because of the lack of understand and Money being the only Veiw CCP as then and still as now, Over valued players keeping them in a job.
4 years is along time too be playing one game day in and day out, But Eve as made me do that over the years, but I am just changing skills alot more then playing the game theses days, Too many Loop holes with in the game and everyone getting away with it, why ruining others game play, this was not done in begaining, because alot was done too balance it up, so everyone could enjoy the game and did.
Now CCP just are not bothered, becasue as long as they have a job and we pay for the game. just nerf stuff that was fine too begain with, and boost stuff that does not need a boost. let everyone use exploits all over. If you want too ruin the game carry on with it.
I am sure you will make it too 6 years, If ppl's do not get ****ed off with it by then, or Make the game great like when you first started. CCP It's up too you, too lead the way or keep letting the money fill your pocket too the game, just ends up like most, on the dog pile.
Well thats my input and thoughs of the 4 years. as I started up soon after Eve started. So grow with them and seen the problems.

Congrats CCP! "Four" a job well done! However, on this day four years ago, I was still playing Everquest. It was about this time that I was becoming thoroughly desenchanted with it. I was logging on once, at most twice, a month only to run around and kill rats and then log off. It was quite disappointing. No one was around to help out the new player. It wouldn't be until December when I would be thumbing through a computer gaming magazine and I saw an ad for EVE that I would log onto the website and download the client.
I was completely blown out of the water. I remember the first few days never leaving the system. I remember losing my way and not knowing how to get back. I remember my confusion of buying something and not realizing that it isn't in my hanger but at the location I bought it at. LOL Those were fun times! But the best memory of all is the friendliness of the high sec areas. I logged in and was immediately welcomed and offered help. It was great! To this day, I have never regretted leaving Everquest and I have been on all this time. Never taken a break--never suspended my account. This game is da bomb!!!
Love ya, CCP!!
