Hey I have one suggestion, but it might be tedious to implement.
How about adding a column in the item browser to show the bonuses and slots you receive when choosing subsystems?
This could be done for all items, but that might be a bit much considering they have all kinds of different stats.
Aha! I actually think I have a better idea, what about a "Item Info" window that updates whenever you highlight a new item and shows its stats, saving a lot of "Right Click -> Show Info".
Just a thought.

What I'd like to see:
When you have a T3 subsystem fitted....being able to right click on it and swap it out with another. If the slots are changed, just have the mod removed instead of saying 'you need to remove -2 mid slots'.

nice work n' all gripen, but you need to go back and double check the slot modifiers of the subsystems. The gallente propulsion Gravitational Capacitor gives a MID not a low. Others have mentioned the drone bay stuff as well.
Again, its great that you can make it work now it just needs accurate stats.

Ah Gripen, I would gladly say I love you, but often people are not overjoyed when I say this especially guys, go figure... 
Anyway, I said previously that Freighters and Jump Freighters do not benefit from the Capital Ship skill, and this has been corrected in EFT 2.10 which is nice ; however, Advanced Spaceship Command does apply to both class, and this has disappeared in EFT 2.10 
And now, off to play with T3 fits
