In the end... I think this has been a very good advertisement for one of the coolest players I am now are of on Eve... MonkeySphere, I will now look up to him and follow in his footsteps for when I want to get rid or **** off some russians.

So, is this an actual Eve exploit or is this an exploit of macro scripts? Just curious.

Going on what somebody has said my connection is pretty bad, and sometimes my character disappears from local (and all chat channels in fact). IÆve never been able to reproduce it (always happens accidently) but the petition I filed ages back simply suggested relogging.
Having said that everyone who has me as a buddy sees me go red (offline), so IÆd imagine exploiting it will show up in the logs.

Hmm...
I've never meet this guys, but something look fishy to me. Look at The Monkeysphere killboard.
The Monkeysphere
Not only he have kill/death ratio around 35/1 also he kill his victims very alike. There is always Machariel, there is always Arazu, and there is always Curse. So goes for pilots. There is same 3 people in every kill.
Now this look very spooky to me... Something really wrong.

Then the evil monkey found his wrecks and went and sat in the same belt, then logged off himself.
You can't keep a farmer away from his precious rats for long, so after he logged back in, using a powerful spell known as the address book, the haxzor monkey knew his prey would be landing in the same belt he was in, and logged in. Scramble, pew pew, dead macro farmer.
There is a delay in updating local when you log in. Sometimes in order to catch macro bots, you have to use dirty log on tricks
hehe cool one bro! thats legit :P poor macros :P

Technique that works consistently is what exactly wrong with it. This look like "Sure Win" strategy against almost any target. But this is EVE, and things like that is quite unbelivable here.
Depending on my own PvP experience this look impossible.

He runs a hack that masks him in local until he engages you. You have to put your scout in an observe spot on the incoming gate so you can see him land on your gate. It is the only way to see him coming so you have to pay really close attention to it.

Now I have studied philosophy, medicine and the law, and unfortunately, killed numerous Ravens, wearily sweating, yet I stand now, poor fool, no wiser than I was before; I am called Monkeysphere, even Doctor, and for these last ten years have led my students by the nose--up, down, crosswise and crooked. Now I see that we must kill Golems finally.

I would bet, if I knew how to write macro scripts, that there is a way to get your macro to avoid login traps. But I will not post my thoughts on this ever

I believe most people in monkeyspheres position have more than one character or at least a co operative participant in his actions and I also believe most people understand the concept of the address book.

ok beleivable, but looking from the outside you have an insider and i don't beleive he's(the op) a macroer, he just ****ed you off with game mechanics and you had to "kill" him. if he's a macroer he deserves it.

A long time ago, in a patch far, far away, there was a bug that allowed you to log out of local chat. "Was" may perhaps be a strong word in this case. Just be sure to put your scout on grid with your gate or you will find an arazu 35-40 clicks off and a machariel soon after :P Watched him move for several jumps and it is flawless. It may have one weakness that is if you enter local after him, but not very practical in your case.

Edited by: Certero on 19/04/2010 17:07:37 guys, it's no good to pay money for the game there someone can feel himself like god (not been a cpp employer or gm) - nobody can scan clocked ship at safespot not been even in local, then scan another ship in next system, then another an so on. everybosy wants a fair play! we are just players, we're paying money and want to have same abilities. it's no good to see that someone can make such outstanding things :((( want to hear cpp officials...
