What makes me sad is that obviously no action/banhammering from CCP¦s side to monkeydude or the other cheating guys from PL (if cheating/exploiting/haxing) was taken. On one of the first sites even PL¦s CEO admitted to know about this "exploit" maybe even for years.
I can¦t frind this post anymore, but i ralize that this thread was "photoshopped", several posts missing (and even that was brought up before).
Sad to see that EULA-Violation might be a bad thing where you can get banhammered, but others might get away with "don¦t you ever do that again". Is it some kind of a coinflip? Is monkeydude a hidden GM? Is karttoon a DEV?
I figured out the only loser in this campaign, and it¦s you CCP.

Soooooooooooo after 70 pages of he said she said and people trolling trolls and being trolled into being trolled.
What was the outcome? The monkey still trolling by not killing any botters and keeping the troll alive?, or was he actually exploiting and so hasn't been able to do what he was?
Just his kill stats have certainly taken a dip since the no local bug was brought to public knowledge

Here's the outcome: they patched something after a couple of people had their macros ruined and decided to figure out how it was done.
So until another ...method... enables people to take food off people's tables, we're back to the status quo. At which point so-called "unrelated parties" will find out how it's being done, and inform the authorities, all in the name of Eve, of course.

PL got greedy, they were farming IT pets but no one cared, now they have killed decent MS pilots, things need to be done about these exploiters.
IT have said, "we had 40 caps in system, local was blue, then suddenly hics were on us within seconds of them appearing in local"
CCP needs to investigate this further.

very interesting thread!
To come to the point: I don't understand why this thread that got started on 19th of April ha not lead to reactions by CCP.
First off all I like to point out, I'm not reading the thread by accident. The exploit is real. After meeting several exploiters the last days I googled for it and found this threat.
Second: to explain how my corp figured there must be an exploit I describe 3 situations we had last days.
Situation 1:
Some guys is harassing our miners in one system regularly. Corp mates reported him to be able to instantly jump someone who is mining in a hidden belt. However we ignored this statement as we assumed the miner was careless or we assumed the hunter had scanned the belt the day before. However that happened so often that some of our corp mates got curious and started to wait for him in heavy tanked BSes and then it got really interesting.
Jumping to the rescue of such a BS caused the guy to log off. One of us waited at his estimated log off position in a cloaked Rapier to build a log on trap. Now to our surprise he was suddenly in front of the tackler, and some shouted: he logged on! (on TS as some had him in the address book) BUT HE WAS NOT IN LOCAL. HE WAS ALREADY TACKLED AND WAS NOT IN LOCAL!! He managed to escape the tackle and logged off again ... and 30 mins later the same thing happened!
Situation 2:
A small skirmish in my ratting system. My mates kill 1 intruder, the others try to warp around and avoid aggression. One is warping to a gate, as he knows it is bubbled he warps to a distance of like 100km, perhaps he had a spot there and was even better positioned. Anyway: I try to lock him with my carrier ... which would have taken like 12 seconds. He logged off in front of my eyes and I saw him warping off into nothing.
I and 2 further corp mates continued ratting in the system. Roughly 2 hours later that guy was reported in our INTEL channel 8 systems away. WITHOUT logging on/showing in our system!! I assumed that guy was using an "I can log on in any system I want exploit" and reported him. The petition got closed without answer more or less instantly.
Situation 3:
One system I'm ratting in is pretty big. The 2 gates have a distance of roughly 54 AU. So a warp from gate to gate takes about 30 seconds. So, if someone shows up in the system and leaves again after 5 to 10 seconds the "logical" assumption is he jumped back to the system he came from (after seeing many of my corp in local e.g.) Another assumption could be: he was in a shuttle and warped super fast ...
You can immagine if you have no eyes in the 2 neighboring systems, but got a report from 2 systems apart, example: ( B2 - B1 - S - A1 - A2), I'm ratting in S. Some one reports a hostile in B2 (so I know he is coming), we have no eyes in B1. The guy enters S. He leaves again after like 10 seconds or less. I assume he got scared by so many hostiles in system and re approached B1 gate and jumped back. That is what I report in TS and in INTEL. Surprise: a few seconds later I get corrected, because intel reports him in A1 or A2. Which is impossible as he could not have warped to that gate in that short timeframe. Solution: he was already 20 or 30 seconds in system and in warp before he finally showed up in local.
Situation 1: happend similar several times last week. The day before yesterday many corp mates witnessed that guy performing that exploit, Situation 2 happened just yesterday, Situation 3 happened quite often but I assumed it was a glitch, until yesterday: I started to google for eve exploits ... and found this thread ;D

Just be careful not to forget that there is a delay on joining local under normal circumstances anyway. It might not be the explanation for what you describe, but be careful about accusing people of exploiting without considering every other possibility.

For me it is usually the opposite. If I camp a gate and some one enters my system, I see him in local before the gate flash ... roughly a second or 2 even.
No, From the cheaters I noticed I only reported one, and as I said the petition got closed without answer. That other guy described under "Situation 1" I did not report yet ...
