What else did you expect ? A public apology that this was possible, and the names of all people caught doing it ? Seriously ?
It was made public, they looked into it, they managed to reproduced the issue, and finally they managed to plug it in a relatively short amount of time, and announced they did it. That's all they needed to do.

They won't break that policy just for this.

After reading all 69 pages, I still have a question to ask to determine if I find (so said) PL's actions morally objectionally or not.
About 90ish percent of the posted reported kills in threads on this or the .ru forums are made by botters/macro'ers, who claim he has used some sort of exploit to not appear in local. I do not have any problems with people hunting botters, +1 & my respect for that. Altough I don't think the means justify the ends, but what the heck, botters aren't the way the game was supposed to be played anyways.
Now my question, are there any reports of him using the disputed method on actual behind keyboard players/pvp'ers? And enough reports to have any significance?

If you read all 69 pages you would know that yes, not only botters were attacked. He messed up when he got greedy and real players at the keyboard were attacked which was why it was petitioned and brought to the general discussion forum. He would probably gotten away with another two years if he didn't do that (if he actually has been doing if for that long). Please remember that there was and has been NO PROOF that he used the exploit, BUT, I find it highly suspicious that he has had no more kills on any of his characters except for the fleet battle that he participated in using lol internets. As such, that still constitutes no proof, it just does look very much like he did.

Not only that half of this 69 pages where derailed/trolled by the PL guys, we now hear about biomassed MK1¦s and so on, and so on.
What makes me sad is that obviously no action/banhammering from CCP¦s side to monkeydude or the other cheating guys from PL (if cheating/exploiting/haxing) was taken. On one of the first sites even CEO karttoon admitted to know about this "exploit" maybe even for years.
I can¦t frind this post anymore, but i ralize that this thread was "photoshopped", several posts missing (and even that was brought up before).
Sad to see that EULA-Violation might be a bad thing where you can get banhammered, but others might get away with "don¦t you ever do that again". Is it some kind of a coinflip? Is monkeydude a hidden GM? Is karttoon a DEV?
I figured out the only loser in this campaign, and it¦s you CCP.

I'm sure that the Pilots who used this exploit for years have been banned and all accounts removed by ccp since that is clearly stated in eula for such actions......and too insinuate that PL as an alliance would have too cheat etc... too get a kill is absurd. every alliance has a few losers in it who will cheat too compensate for incompetency and this is merely another example of such.

The exploit that was patched was only created a couple of weeks ago.
There may be other exploits out there currently being used by individuals that are able to reverse engineer the EVE client in a matter of hours. I'm not going to point any fingers, but considering it took about a year for us just to overhaul our killboard, it's not us.
tl/dr no one got banned for an exploit that was manufactured to deflect blame from stupidity.

So where is CSM in all of this? I mean, were they not crated to make sure that there is no GM misconduct after the T20 incident? Have they investigated that no GMs were involved in this, since no one got banned for it even though evidence point to certain individuals that they were exploiting? If no one was banned, then CCP needs to explain why not. They do not discuss bans, but they need to discuss non-bans or CSM needs to explain that they looked in to it and there is no reason for anyone to get banned. Otherwise this will never go away, like the T20 load of crap that still hangs over our heads, because CCP protects their own at expense of the player base.

You seem to have CSM and INternal Affairs mixed up. True, the CSM was created BECAUSE of the T20 events in order to help soften relations between players and devs again; Internal Affairs however do all the investigations. If you feel there is misconduct here, email them (email address is somewhere on the website, something like [email protected])
