I have the issue with moving windows also (pinned windows move after undock) but its not that big of an issue. I have however heard something about a cloacking nerf is it put in this patch or are these just future plans (cloacked ships wiould be detectable by probes) if its true I might reconsider training those skills any time soon seeing as a cloaked (and undetectable) ship is almost the only way for newer players to be able to go into low sec and 0.0 ..Dont the older players have it easy enough as it is in those areas??

Please fix the Market Quickbar alphabetizing thingy and that pesky Overview-unpin-repin-each-time-I-bloody-undock-it's-driving-me-batty thing.
Thank you.

1. *BIG INCONVENIENCE* Player "in-space" bookmarks lost organization. Having around 500+ bookmarks, within 8-10 different folders are now in 1 folder. Its a mess. I don't name them for each system, or type of bookmark, I store it in a specific folder, so now there is no way of sorting it out.
2. *MINOR ANNOYANCE* When fully minimizing a 1 chat window, and leaving local open, after each system jump, minimized window expands, covering local.
3. *MINOR ANNOYANCES* Custom interface colros settings are lost, preset overview setting are lost. CCP should give an option of importing your options.
Other than that, good job CCP on bringing improvements to the game.

Originally by: CCP 3/11/2008 EVE Gets a Boost Trinity 1.1: Boost Patch is being deployed, filled with helpful and thrilling modifications, and not a single 'nerf'. With every patch we hope to greatly improve our virtual world, by enhancing features, squashing bugs and fine-tuning the action. Boost Patch has done just that. Navigate to the Trinity webpage to review all of Boost Patch's features, interviews, screenshots and wallpapers.
- Really just a list of changes would be fine but thanks for offering extras.
- The shortcut I set for my ship cargo has always opened and closed the ship cargo window. Now it will only open it. Many of us were hoping to someday open and close more windows by shortcut but instead this ability has been removed where it had been so very useful? Please put it back.
- It seems at least some changes to the UI have not gone very well. I just want to repeat what I have said before. Keep at it. Put all your effort to the UI for several months. Make an altogether new one if you need to (without so very many right-click menus). It is clearly an EVE weak spot and apparently not an easy one to remedy.

Still using M$ DBs ? well that's most of the problems right there. Sorry but the truth hurt sometimes.
Don't like that I can't re-click on my cargo and ship scanner Icons to have the windows disappear. Especially when they wind up under another window and I have to looking for them by minimizing all my other widows to find the damn thing, then move it, then have to manually close it, got very annoying Really fast.
The OV changes are OK so far I guess. Haven't had much issue with them yet.
Like the fleet window changes, /two thumbs up
Ofc I'll add more when I see something I like or don't.

I noticed these problems:
1) Bubble graphic is no more active with "All effect off" option. So if you disable the effect to have better performing your client you can't see if you finish in a trap!
2) Overview and fleet window repositioning at every undock is very annoyng.

Typically you designate an alloted time to deploy the patch and it actually take about 12-16 hours more.
Being honest, when you patch liek this...don't say 2am-whatever downtime. Just close the f*cking server for the day and let people throw on a 30day skill instead of the usual 20 hour skill which eaves our characters not training anything for 10 hours because you f*cked up the patch deployment.
I work in IT, we have deployed patches and fixes like this on a much greater scale (try thousands of employees with a fixed deadline, whereas with CCP you can just do whatever the hell you want) and we have rarely encountered anything even remotely close to the kind of downtime you guys get. Maybe if you test the patch properly first it might not take down half a database when your deploying it.

1: FPS has plummeted to the point where I wouldn't dare attempt PVP or a mission.
2: The rotating view in a station is kinda neat, though it gives me motion sickness after a while. However, it doesn't seem to work with a mining barge, which appears below the view.
3: My beloved 1152 x 684 resolution has gone (incidentally, my normal desktop is set to the same resolution, so I can't use that solution). Oddly, a smaller size remains an option. --------------- ""Minimum collateral damage" and "Entire star system" do not belong in the same sentence." |

Some issues:
- The Ionic Field Projector rig I still shows and calculates +20% targeting range bonus - Drones do not have full shields after undocking from a station - The overview osd keeps resetting its position each time in station - The default overview sometimes shows a completely unreadable entry that looks like a one-line-graphic bug, text completely garbled
Everybody makes mistakes, no need for harsh words.

Well, I think this patch goes to show that the problem with forever tweeking code is that you always have problems debugging it.
Personally, I think CCP should just get things sorted out before it thinks of major overhauls rather than doing a major overhaul and having a fresh set of problems.

Originally by: Szap Light Jeah they like building up their relations with the customer base but only in threads that are not about problems. They appear in fun threads, new feature anounced threads and so on. Perhaps CCP needed something like a forum warrior (like Tarminic) who would just read all the threads then walk into the devs ask them about the problems and post the replies.
*nods* dedicated (as in single responsibility) customer facing PR would probably do more for CCP then additional QA resources. Customers are amazingly resilient to problems if they feel they are part of a dialogue about them. But silence when things go wrong make people feel helpless and thus defensive (then aggressive). The Dev Blog about the boot.ini problem was a wonderful step in this direction, but what CCP probably needs is lots of _little_ posts about such things rather then occasional monolithic ones when things really go wrong (and then too long after it).
Whoever fills this role should not be a dev, marketer, or qa person. It's a specialized role the requires a somewhat different skill-set to be effective. My company experiemented with such a system and got some serious customer good will out of the experience.

Some people of.c. disagree with this as they're too narrow-minded to see beyond their own little favorite ship....
Keep in mind that a significant amount of the concern here is less about the specific balance and more about the perspective and process that went into it. CCP indicated that the changes were tested and balanced against 0.0 PvP and only this playstyle case, which is going to rather displease other types of players (who are already a bit sore from this attitude). Yes it probably is a type of whining but when you feel slighted as second class citizens by people you are giving money too, yeah, people get a bit ****ed. Esp when it is a recurring (but not universal) pattern.

Surely they could've deployed there first & ironed out at least most of the bugs before patching TQ?

Dear CCP,
Again thank you very much for not changing the Deimos in this last patch.
So far I havent found alot if issues with this patch as some others have. The Eve client crashing I have dealt with once last night but that was after a number of window switching and "logging out" back to the log in screen. It did mention something about a memory leak.
The overview tab this is a great idea but the default tab just doesnt make any sense. U cant permanently assign it a specific overview setting. Everytime you change tabs then go back to the "default tab" the setting are all different then what u set it before hand. It would be better if we had the chance to either delete it completely or assign it permanently. Otherwise its in the way.
Other then that everything seems to be going ok on my end

Another FPS drop person here. It's fine in stations for some reason but as soon as I undock eve is pretty much unplayable, even in empty 0.0 systems. I know my specs aren't the best but I never had a problem like this before, and the only thing that has changed on my computer is the patch. Heres hoping this extended downtime fixes it.
I know EvE is a complex game but you think the Devs would be tired of making themselves look stupid and take their time on these things.
Also why are bubbles grouped into effects now. Most people disable effects when they know a fleet battle is incoming, now if you turn them off you can get stuck in bubbles you cant see. awesome :)

I think they missed a word out at the end of the the topic title..... failure, maybe.
Apart from niggly issues the patch doesn't seem to have really changed much. Sure they've put in some fancy stuff that you will only ever use once... when you first see it and realise it does not aid game play at all... but apart from that I can't really see what you did!
Being thrown out of a station at max velocity seems a bad idea for me especially if you need to warp off double quick and your initiation is slowed by your velocity as your target is behind you or at a right angle to you... why can't we just be placed outside the station at different spots at zero velocity, or at quarter approach speed, so you can initiate warp at your desire?
My frames per second currently sucks. I was getting some 7fps in level 4 missions and that is dangerous for me and the lag was unbearable. It took a full 2 minutes to reload at one point! That is simply unacceptable.
When I warp the warp tunnel is jerky rather than smooth like it was previously. Again fps.
The downtime news page has not been updated since the first day of the patch. Since then not a noise from CCP. Maybe the issues are too numerous to list, or maybe the head of CCP hasn't yet finished tanning their hides with wet fish. I don't know, but it would be nice for them to say something even if it is that we are getting there and we hope to be back up by tea time!
Not being told anything just mega sucks and the time and money I have invested in this game is not being repaid.
The QENs that you are doing are a good sign except that they may also be telling us that you are getting more financially minded. I hope this is not the case.
That aside, I hope you get the problems sorted sooner rather than later but you really do have to look at your updating procedures as the way you do them right now is nothing short of pathetic.
Sorry, but I have been playing this game for a year and in that time you have done various things to the game. You've taken some big and bold steps and most of them have worked to a good point. However, you're letting yourselves down with this one due to your lack of communication.
I am still fairly happy with eve but the longer I don't play it the sooner I will be looking elsewhere for my after work entertainment.

Eve is up, but beware the API...
Evemon just threw away all the skills I'd trained apart from the currently-training one and its prerequisites. Everything else, according to EveMon, I've got to do again.
I'm sure it's just that one of the APIs isn't working properly yet, but if you're planning to use EveMon, I'd back your data files up first...

What types of players apart from PvP'ers got affected by the balancing in this patch?
Industrialists? Not really. Explorers? Not really.
No ships got nerfed individually (all boosts), so I guess you're whining about mission running and the (small) general resist changes... Mission runners has been boosted a lot over the last couple of years. First there were the HP boost, then the introduction of rigs (3xCCC = MASSIVE increase in tanking, plus the extra earnings). I didn't hear you complain then. They NEEDED (for game balance purposes) to be taken down a notch, and the resist changes are not even enough. Having a safe space activity being more profitable than 0.0 activities is not good for the game.
