You likely have a problem with your pc's hard-disk that's corrupting your data slightly. This is normally due to age.
It can also be caused by buggy drivers for your network or disk controller, or bad ram.
Do you get any whole-pc crashes (blue screens, spontaneous restarts, freezes, etc, as opposed to just a program crashing)? They're generally a good sign of a fault with your pc or the OS or drivers you're using.
If every version you run is failing the CRC check, it's also very very possible that you have some sort of virus installed on your machine. I'd advise not only running a standard virus scan, but also a scan that boots from it's own Floppy/CDROM to scan for boot sector virii that can't be spotted by a standard virus scan.

It could be worse. I keep trying to download the patch and I keep getting a message that the file is corrupt and fails varification. Any ideas on that?

I'm having serious issues with the fps.. after the patch it dropped to a ridiculous avrege value of 10 fps... the game cannot be played that way... before the patch i had a steady 36-37 fps in normal game conditions... address this plz.

just use the default tab for your default setting (npcing f.e., or when traveling / small gang pvp) thats how i use it... things which i need to see, when doing the normal stuff are on it.

I don't really think that counts as an improvement. Again and again CCP make the same mistakes as in previous patches. I'm really tired, as I think everyone else is, of redoing my overview settings for example. Not to mention the many new bugs introduced (some of them are really annoying) and so on. For example EVE doesn't close properly (again), it exits with an error message, and when I shut down Windows it dies with the BSOD! I'd seriously think of firing my QA team if I were you guys! About the "boost" patch - great, boosting anyone but gallente (yeah... great) Less explosive shield and EM armor resists benefits:
- caldari - to some extent, they can change damage type
- minmatar - oh, wait, they use exactly EM and explosive (weeee)
- amarr - great, now the average life expectancy of a raven meeting an apoc/geddon is like less than 30 seconds
- gallente - oh... sorry... they can't fire anything but heat/kin... well better luck next only-boost-no-nerfs patch
Do I need to point out the DPS of the zealot versus the Deimos after the patch for example and their respective optimal range?

after the patch my fps went down from 50/70fps to 8/19 fps....
the cargo icon(ship cargo) in space will only open the cargo and it will no longer close it when pressing again the icon.

only things I see wrong so far is the already stated a million times overview windows going back to some default position on dock/undock. The only other thing i see is, and this may seem minor but still bothers me, is the fact that i cant close my ship cargo window by clicking on the icon that you use to open it in space with. i have grown used to using this button to open and close it, but now i can only open the window here. I did not have setting reset, BMs are still in folders, everything else looks great. Nice job CCP, keep up the excellent work.

who the hell is making this suggestions? i playes trained caldari for almost 3 years, and now every ship sucks, what are u trying to do here? to everyone play with only one race?

And what would brackets do anyway when they appear to just be a restatement of any custom views you already have defined. Doesn't make much sense. Poorly designed and non intuitive..... and... on one character all the customisations have disappeared.
Then.... we have all the useless new tutorials... that I am having to turn off on every window function for every character that I start up.... very annoying.... would have been much better as a right-click context option on the function button.
Stupid that we get new tutorials on all the OLD functions... but nothing on the new features. 20+ hours down for the patch and then we STILL had DT.

Why is everyone complaining about the overview running around the screen now ? I've had this problem since they added the new fleet system. Every time when I undock or join a fleet, all the windows of the overview go crazy. The most annoying problem is with the Selected Items window, which exits through the top right corner of the screen, having only the bottom half visible, thus being impossible to drag it down.
Also I might not understand how the tab and the brackets work yet, but I have a general ideea, and I've setup a few tabs, but as soon as I switch to a tab the default one dissapears taking the settings of the tab I selected. Also I don't know what the bracket setting is supposed to do but I messed with it a bit and it didn't seem to do anything... maybe someone wants to enlighten us about that.

CCP, your doing a fine job. With this growing monster that your dealing with, I personaly was expecting a actual 24 hour downtime. Keep slaying those dragons for us so that we ALL can have the best quality game play possible.

Personally I cant tell you what kind of experience im having cause even after i get to character selection I can go no farther cause it keeps telling me the4 system im in is still trying to load im guessing with this much trouble on a simple patch when you get ready to do an expansion i best start a skill that takes a week to train

Everybody else can do it 1:1 but not caldari , and now nerfed again !!! I got even better proposal , REMOVE caldari from the game. You see not many caldari whine. Do You know why ? Becouse they have learned either Galente or Minmatar ship. So why don't you just remove caldari and stop making us learn 1 useless race ships before we realize that shield tanking is a crap , our ships can't fit points nor webs, our guns have no power, have no tracking, have no damage, have no speed, they move like wounded old big elephants ... Oh yes they have range and they die fast ... sick.
I'll actually stop playing for a week or two to be able to calm my self. And then I'll decide if I I'll continue playing at all because if that is the quality of the "balancing" I don't see my place around.

I must be one of the lucky ones. No lost bookmarks, no windows jumping about and no loss of performance.
And whilst the extended downtime was a bit of a pain I now have a tidy flat and all those outstanding bills are paid

im a programmer myself and cant understood WTF is so hard to make a patch that dont modify or **** up the settings saved by users.
If my customers should be after every change make new the settings they would burn down the company building where we are.....
Cant u hire some programmers which have clue about how to patch an existing system??????
Thats there are problems with engame content, ships is ok, because in a such complex system it can't be everything predicted, but patch that makes an error, destroying settings, unabling to switch between running instances..........
And the same problems as some patch before..... Or is your code handling so poor that sometime u repatch old code????
And than the support..... 7 page thread and not a simply yes we working on this bug, or u should try to do the following......

All I can say is that it SHOULD work the way you suggest.... but it doesn't. Defining bracketa against a tab descriptor has no effect on icons in space, and any tab I select simply overwrites the seetings in the default tab....and subsequent tabs for that matter do the same... so I end up with 5 tabs.. all with different names.... but all with the same filter states and content.... useless.
Fixing this will probably require a complete download and re-install....A G A I N ..... with the loss of all my customisations and bookmarks.... A G A I N.
Where is the quality control in this stuff.

Armor a shield resists reduction it's a boost right?
Can CCP give to us some EM/Thermal hybrid ammo so we can fight amarr hac's and command ships?
Deimos lose with every single hac in the game, any changes?
NO, community do not like the solution proposed but for sure something could be done
Arazu and lanchesis, CCP ignore this ships one more time.
Inverted Signal Field Projector I RIG, it's kind of ridiculous EW modifier 5% and 10% drawback, damps are already a complete crap.
