I seriously suggest to all the "so called" pro,s at CCP to take a six months training at FF XI,s HQ, to understand the meaning of the word "PATCH" and "FIX".
because this is getting on every ones nerves.
Still not able to keep 2 accounts open still crashes, still CCP error messages "runtime error CCP are sorry but has to close" Still takes 5 to 10 mins to log back in. Still get clusters are full please try later, still getting " the system your trying to get into is loading. ( like for 20 mins) still getting a frps rate of max 10. and like every one else, I am still paying the fee,s.
Please get this right or tell us that your closing down, so at least we can cancell the next months payment.

Can someone confirm the following:
"Massive Scordite" now titled as "Massive Scordite460, 722959"
Several asteroids and all ore in my hangar is now titled "Massive Scordite460, 722959". not annoying... just funny ;)

eWar notification in the overview
It's a good idea, but I'm missing notifications for Energy Neutralizer and Energy Vamps. In most cases I'm playing with the tactical overview and zoomed out to see the 50km ring or even more. Within this perspective it's hard to see such details. So it would be fine to have a notification for those things in the overview too. And as Malaan Tabfassh mentioned earlier, please make it a separate column.

Great work on the Patch CCP. Ive enjoyed trying to fit an omen out with all 5 turrent slots. One note though... Im having a problem with lag spikes or frame spikes like someone has mentioned... Ill log onto the game everything going smooth for about 2 minutes and then all of a sudden my screen, mouse and any keys lock up and I cant do anything for about 30 secs. After the first spike it gets worse, it happens after every 25 secs then. I dont know how to check my frame rate or if its even that. I just know I cant really do anything like this

Technically, a great patch for me. classic client updated perfectly and logs in and out even fast than it used to, great job there.
However, the 'not a single' nerf bit is a slight lie. The patch notes said the meta level of co-processors was being adjusted but it appears the actual bonus has been adjusted!
in my case, a dread guristas co-processor has been nerfed from 15.5% cpu bonus to 14%. is this a bug? ____________________

Originally by: Sturmwolke I feel CCP is severely lacking in keeping customers informed on certain technical aspects and keeps many of us guessing. This thread is very unwieldy for a one-stop information center to folks looking for the most current information for Trinity 1.1 issues. I don't see why haven't CCP assign a dedicated person(s) for a 1-2 week duration post-patch to post up issues reported (whether valid or not) for the public to see, including workarounds/solutions to them. You'll save a lot of grief and it will minimize the negative goodwill/perception from customers.
Sheesh.
/Signed - Its unbelievable that this even needs to be suggested.

Yup, same here. Looks like CCP coders need to invest in some memory implants, cause their natural memory is not enough to remember where they keep settings
The settings location when using the /LUA:OFF switch changed from "...\cache\settings" to "...\settings". But please note that we don't support the /LUA:OFF switch.
Settings are stored in
- C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE\c_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility\settings
(assuming default paths for Windows settings and install folder of the EVE client).
This allows settings for different installs and different servers to be kept separate, if you also have installs for Singularity or Multiplicity.

So here is your feedback CCP... 1) Despite what appears to be years of requests you continue to blow away user settings after every patch. Listening to customers... You fail. 2) Despite what has been reported as weeks of knowing about the Drone, Overview etc windows not sticking in position you don't fix it. You expected us to just be happy with this? GINOURMOUS FAIL! 3) Needing to move the Settings folder around some more and leaving a folder full of junk behind on my machine. You fail. 4) Implementing a new Overview tab feature and then screwing that up? For god's sake!!! You just implemented it! Think testing was in order? YOU FAIL! 5) Adding a Help window that needs 2 clicks to get rid of for every window... Do you guys realize how many "man months" you have wasted in the last few days making everyone click the go away buttons? How hard would it have been to add a few more lines of code to check how old the particular account is and then NOT showing these windows for accounts over 14 days old? SUPER FAIL! 6) Zipping ships out of the station at ridiculous speed instead of adding exit points? How bloody lazy could you be? Super massive fail! Bet everyone in nullsec trying to stay inside station shields really appreciate this one.
I'm curious... is the CEO's 8 year old daughter the head of Development? Do you actually have engineers with real experience? Can you prove that there is a real QA department? Heck is there a QA person? Is this person old enough to vote? I could go on... with every new release I lose more and more respect for you. Windows bouncing around after undocking? 3 year request to not blow away settings from tens of thousands of players and you still haven't done it?

my in-station performance woes (system running excessively hot) have seemingly been corrected by switching back to Interval-Default instead of Immediate.
That said, CCP's silence in this so-called feedback thread speaks volumes in and of itself.

I am unhappy with the new patch released by CCP. I feel that the Minmatar and Gallante characters, more specifically there ships, have yet again been shafted by the latest patch. With a reduction in the ability to tank the game has only been made more difficult for these races. Also, supprise supprise, the Caldari and the Amarr ships have been made even stronger. Yes, i understand the need for balancing but I personally beilieve this hasn't been achieved, not in a long way. Ships that were already difficult to construct sufficient builds for interms of pvp or missions, have been even further sidelinned and ships already notoriously deadly have been enhanced to ridiculous levels. Personally I think you have neglected the two races that are constantly being reduced in terms of effectivness or any strengths they may inherently have constantly being nurfed. What's next an increas in the Itheron 5 and Mamouth cargo bays to balance an extra launcher hard poin for the raven or an extra low slot for the Omen.....??? When will it stop this so called "re-balancing"?

Originally by: Cyxopyc I can't promise anything but I've had FPS weirdness on my one system for a long time. All I would do is alt-tab from windowed to full screen or full screen to windowed and the FPS would increase some, enough to make it playable. This is true after acceleration gates in missions. On warp in I'd find a low FPS due to a dust cloud, then do alt-tab and waahlaah, I can play it ok. These aren't huge jumps in FPS but enough to make an noticable difference. The FPS meter shows a change from 4 to 6FPS or 8 to 11 but the increase in playability is great. Like many others I have noticed an decrease in FPS in places I didn't have a low (slideshow) FPS before. My work around above seemed to work in these situations... give alt-tab a try.
Alt-Tab helps, but really is not true solution... I still have nice unplayable delays with very low fps and also its very annoying - to use alt-tab every 2-3 minutes. /me is hauling instead fighting =/ |

Yes, we noticed a day before deploying that the new Black Ops cyno effect has caused issues with the normal effect. It's been fixed internally but no release date set.

OK some things:
1) I still hope CCP will release a statement or at least ackknowledge the problem for those of us who are having low fps problems as we simply cannot play the game whether we reinstall or turn off our comps or anything else.
2) Can some of the people who are screaming in here please shutup? I mean like the people yelling "CCP Suck" and "YOU FAIL!" to CCP are not fixiing this problem. Your just embarrassing yourselves. If your going to complain please do so in a manner which will make the devs actually want to fix your problem.

For those of you having issues, I urge you to do the following: A. Creating a logfile
1. Navigate to this folder (windows xp): C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE 2. Open the program labeled Logserver 3. Either hit Ctrl-w or select new workspace from the dropdown file menu 4. Startup your eve client 5. Play the game normally and try to reproduce the issues you are having as they are now being logged. 6. After you have successfully suffered from your issue, close the eve client. 7. Either hit Ctrl-s or select save from the dropdown file menu (by default it will save itself to your my documents folder).
B. Creating a DXdiag file
1. Click Start. 2. Click Run. 3. In the empty field type dxdiag (A window should popup with the title DirectX Diagnostic Tool.) 4. Click the button labeled "Save All Information..." (by default its saved as a txt file to the desktop).
C. Submitting your files
1. Create a new folder 2. Add both the logfile and the dxdiag file to the folder 3. Archive (zip) the folder. 4. Navigate to eve-online.com 5. In the left-hand column on the website click Bug Reporting. 6. Log in with your in game username and password. 7. Submit your bug report with the greatest detail possible. 8. Be sure to upload your zip file containing the logfile and your dxdiag information in the last field.
D. Waiting for CCP to fix it 1. Pace back and forth and rant on the forums (Let it out,it's not healthy to hold it in, and who cares if people say you're whining). 2. Cancel your subscription and submit how you really feel about the lack of customer response. ( Your account is not deactivated until your time runs out, and there is an option to cancel your cancellation, should CCP decide to start treating its customers civilly and address issues that multiple paying customers are experiencing.) 3. Visit websites and forums related to mmorpgs and let others know how you got screwed the day after you paid your subscription, and that there was no official response on the news page or the forums regarding your issue(s) despite your bug submission and forum posts (even though they DO read the forums and only select certain posts to respond to.) On a side note to CCP: I don't expect you to fix everything this instant, but as a paying customer, I do have the right to expect some feedback regarding my issues, as does every other paying customer (generic generated e-mails notwithstanding). I have cancelled my account, and even if you do fix it, I doubt I'll come back due to your business ethics/policies. I do expect this post to get deleted, despite it having useful information that one of your paid representatives could and SHOULD provide in EACH and EVERY post related to the issues caused by deployment of your "boost" patch. Good day
Yeah, you guys can have all my stuff, just meet me in Jita, lol. Hope this is helpful to someone, I'm done with this.

ati mobo, ati vid card, amd 64 3500 cpu, 4 gig of ram. Untill now a rock solid single instance eve machine.
I thought game was working fine last night. Very early this morn after reboot i kept locking after 2-3 jumps. Restarted pc, turned every non esential program/service off. As soon as i opened eve now, cpu use hits 100%. If i logged in and chose a toon, couldnt get past entering game screen now. R&R'ed EVE, and it changed nothing.
Still thinking this could be a overheating thing, i pulled fans from cpu and vid card to insure a good cleaning of sinks. Man ati use's tiny screws to hold fans covers on..... Put it back together and nothing has changed except fans are quieter now. Thinking that since i found quite a hairball under vid card fan plate, i entertained the thought that i may have killed the X800XL. I removed all ati drivers, then replaced card with a nvid 8800gtx from my sli machine along with latest drivers from nvid. I was still locking after a jump or two.
1. I only run the old graphics on any of my machines as its just less lag imo. 2. The system has no problem running Halflife II, it was this fact that made me seek forum help. 3. The system has been running eve with no probs for over a year.
Please roll this patch back untill it has been proven on Sisi. Feel like im playing a microsoft game were you just know your really a paying beta tester.
POSITIVE NOTE: Thought the updates on motd was quite professional.

Sure hope this has been covered, but the patch screwed up mouse clicks all over the HUD and in space. Big time delays for mods to activate... sometimes the mouse click doesn't even register, sometimes it does, then right after you notice the delay you click again and oooops.. you just turned your mod off.
Also, you have to try 2,3,4 times to click anything in space to select it. This is a pain... devs, I insist this be fixed.

didn't read all, maybe was mentioned before
1. alt-tab with 2 accounts, changes to other account but immediately minimizes the window. see ppl are crashing that way, i did not so far 2. alt not showing moons 3. drones in space lost their icon, i dont see them in space, but they are out and they're doing their work 4. joining a fleet fubars my overview every time (that one really goes on my nerves) 5. receiving gangbonuses, although im not in the right fleetposition and the other gangmembers are docked. even the fleetwindow gives me a red "x" but bonuses are beeing applied to my ship

Well you know this boost patch with 100% no NERFS well you appear to have not informed somone as quite a few faction mods just got beaten back to T2 lvl.
I guess this could be called balancing as most stuff is as crap as Domination loot now
Any chnce we can get an honest set of Patch Notes that include a list of these nerfs as well since you just devalued a large amount of mods Kthxsbye

Hehe...Obviously no lack of comments to this but here are mine.
Prior to patch could run 2-3 accounts at once with little or no lag on an older PC.
Post patch:
1. Had to re-install client twice in 24 hours.
2. Sound card crashed and had to perform system restore.
3. Many, many lag issues including button click, gate jump, opening hangars etc, etc, etc in 0.0
4. Inability to re-open EVE window after dropping to desktop.
5. Crashing when using multiple accounts.
So far that's about it LOL!

Edited by: Jeslik on 16/03/2008 02:27:22 Well, I couldn't stay away - I had to try to get my fix. So I logged in. 1 computer (quad core q6600 proc, xp, w/ 2 nvidia 8600 gpu's, & current updates) 2 accounts (both set at 1680x1050 windowed). I got both in, w/o a problem. FPS on 1 account, fluctuating wildly between 50 & 90 (in station), sharp, jagged peaks & valleys. On the other account, steady, calm 22 fps (standard). So I went for a test ride, and ran into 3 & 5 minute gate lag (server/empire wide), and a coupla of dc's. Unplayable. The *non-nerf* balancing issues, while annoying from the standpoint of public confidence, don't affect me directly at this point in my game life (but I'd be seriously torked if they did affect me). But the FPS & instability directly affect me.
I was running 3 accounts, at the same time, successfully prior to patch. It was difficult to maintain 2 today. I'm sure you guys are working on the problem (thread 724170 in Known issues), though all you've said so far is you don't see the problem, which doesn't send us any love.
I'll be in Tabula Rasa in the meantime taking out my frustration on those pitiful Thrax. It's a fun FPS, but its not Eve. |

Also I'm used to clicking the "open cargo" button to bring up the cargohold window. if the cargohold window is docked, it neither opens or closes it !

Why doesn't the cargo opening hotkey close my cargohold? It use to and that was good thing. If anything we need more of the hotkeys to work like this. Seriously, if it aint broke, don't fix it.
On the list of things that are broken: Running dual clients, the minimized one invariably drastically reduces RAM usage and freezes up on me post-patch and it never did before. I have changed nothing on my system save patching EVE.
The market quickbar, it doesn't sort alphabetically and putting a ton of things in folders results in items disappearing. This is not okay and needs to be fixed.
You changed alt, annoying but if alt-z did everything alt did I'd get over it. Well, it doesn't and it's a pain in the ass to scan and find moons now.
Your QA department fails at life and should be sacked.
To sum up, if you don't solve the dual-client issue I won't be resubscribing my second account for obvious reasons. By the way, some kind of official response or at least acknowledgment of this stuff would be nice. I learned the first time I submitted a petition that CCP customer service sucks but this is pushing it.

Also as for the CEO's daughter; I'm pretty darn sure she is not head of development. QA, maybe and if not I'd bet she could find more bugs than all of us, kids excel at that - give any 5 year old a computer and they'll show you a brick.
