I never ghost train because I like playing the game all the time, but you know what? IT DOESN'T BOTHER ME SO STOP SAYIN ITS "NOT FAIR" TO US BECAUSE IT DOESN'T AFFECT US -- AT ALL.
Just be honest admit you want the activation money, we understand. BUT DONT FKKN LIE TO US CCP.

Ok, I am willing to give them the benefet of the doubt.
maybe they do have good features planned to offset it and there PR guy needs to be shot in the face for posting wrong.
If (and only if) the following two things are implemented I will reactivate my account. 1. Skill Que 2. Training multiple characters on the same account.

I think the Wednesday, 15 October 2008, is a day to finish playing eve-online! Ghost Training is one of the reason I play this game, cause I haven't the time for permanent playing.

I know why they doing it! As they couldn't reduce the lag with technical solution, so they solve it from the financial side. The best lag reduction ever. With losing 10-35% of the account, I'm sure the lag will be reduced.

You gave us two day's notice, how close to the change taking effect are you planning on waiting until you tell us all why this is such a great move? ---

While I am happy that this change will cut down the number of accounts I have, it is however, the first time I find that smiley insulting.

Originally by: DigitalCommunist JAlso, regardless of CCP's stance, the two day warning is just ridiculous. It probably takes more than a week for most of the playerbase to read a new dev blog. Now GTC demand has been artificially boosted because all these people have to sub sooner than expected. People who don't find out are going to lose skillpoints. Talk about pulling a fast one. And 20 minutes after the news was posted, another news article followed.
And to add onto the stupidity, it's only a short while after Power of Two ended too.
Seriously, it's so screwed up the date might as well be April 1st.

Does the dev blog also explain what incentive players will have to return once they take a break from the game?
I sure hope so, for CCP's sake.

Yes, reducing your income by reducing the amount of account subscriptions you're taking in is sound business sense based around making more money. |

It is not something you can explain away. Seriously.
I've already been shafted by lag swallowing hours upon hours of hard work with nothing I can do about. How is THAT fair to people who play the game actively, I ask you?
I've also already been shafted with GTC prices going where I can't afford to pay for them. Especially now that character selling is no longer really feasible after this.
There's also one other other major think I've been shafted on by CCP, sadly I'm not at liberty to discuss it. In the meanwhile I've never been shafted by someone being able to ghost train.
But this latest thing really is too much. The more I think about it, the more ****ed I am. And won't be continuing my two subscriptions when they end, not that you'd care.
There's oh so many other things to do than keep on grinding a game you insist on turning into a steaming pile of rubbish. Other games, and other hobbies.

Originally by: Darkireland Might be that they are doing this to roll out skill queing and dont want people abuseing the system to que up 2 30 day skills while inactive i suppose.
That is my hope. That this is a sign we'll get the queue. A bit too late for me, since I'll have polished off most of the short skillz already (at least like 2/3 of them I imagine) by the time the queue arrives. But improving the game greatly.
The main problem is the hypocrisy, when CCP claims that removing dark training improves the game in itself. It does not.
I fully sympathize with those who feel targeted by this change, and I'm concerned about a couple of real life friends that I've mostly talked into trying EVE out early next year. What will they think about this change?

I'm curious as to what this 'dev blog' will say pertaining to CCP's desire for someone's in game time and actions to actually 'fairly affect' their achievements in EVE. GTCs anyone? Can we have the devs back who actually understand EVE and what is fun about it? Please!?
Seriously, EVE's current goals are entirely decided by either moronic or inept developers who are either pushing an entirely different game on us or are actually too stupid to do things that will positively affect EVE. -----

I doubt anyone will hear this.
But I think it's a reasonable change. Advancing in skill while not paying makes no sense at all to me. I've always thought it was odd they allowed it, and now that they're not, it just seems natural to me.
They haven't instituted earning SP for killing NPCs. That would probably make me quit the game. The basic skill system is still the best in the industry. ---- Norjia Blacksteel CEO Blacksteel Mining and Manufacturing |

Whohohoho. I see, what is wrong. The lag too hard, dear CCP cut again playerbase.
1. The 90days GTC gone = 10000 player left the game, but the lag increased more, because they started the FW. 2. Ghost training end = min ~10000 player will left the game, but the lag will not decreasing because the CCP not upgrading the servers. Jita nod got + 12GB RAM, nothing else systems, and what happend ? Jita not lagging anymore with over 600+ peoples. 12GB RAM = 140$ (nice upgrade = 10 member x 1 month) Maybe the full LS20 server 1 blade x 2Nod RAM upgrade = 64x140$=8960$ The eve producing ~450,000$/month with 30k subscriber (35k online now), but CCP made a choice the 8960$ too expensive price for upgrade. LOL
3. What will bring for us the future ? I say it. The GTC comes to an end then.
Brilliant idea CCP, oh my....

ROFL. I would like to see the BS you can come up with. At least say what it is. Grab for short term money before you sink with the rest of the iceland (or UK confiscates your servers). This is going to be same dev blog like the ******ed explanation for the GTC price hike. Industry standard where eve is alone at that price point. Some standards. I'm sure you learned that one from microsoft that you seem to like a lot.
****ing off your customers when economy is going down the drain is a bad thing. Even you guys should be able to understand that.

Riiiight... get a think tank together and try to come up with a different excuse I don't think I ever used the "Ghosting", even when I didn't play for almost a year I paid by sub just fine... I don't feel "cheated" if anyone is using the "feature". So, why didn't you introduce this neat idea before the latest power of two campaing?
